When we offered help when she was tasked to made hundreds pages of copies, she snapped and yelling whether if we think she couldn't handle it. So no one helped, Then, she complained to the HR that the workplace is so toxic that men are all eyeing her, but nobody is even polite enough to offer any help to her. Prompting the launch of a gender discrimination investigation upon our division. That pisses the F out of the senior women employees, even our women directors that unanimously said there was never a problem with men to women interactions within our division until karen arrived and started to belittle every men employee. Karen was let go a few months later. Peace has return to our little world of sallarymen and women.

Watched them with my kids the other day and he's brutal, rough, and tough towards those that threaten his clan, but gentle with both his son and wife. Then when he has a choice between his life or his son's, he sacrifices himself without hesitation. It was just a kids movie, but damn, it was a good example of what a father should be.

granted, there is no toxic masculinity, it's kinda like how the "racist" card is so overused that when you get called a racist you're just thinking "wut?"
it's what you also see on those podcasts that have succesfull men and women (well, mostly succesfull men) and tell those women what men want, they're always bitching about how toxic men can be, then they have to explain that men are very simple, the only reason men even dress nice etc is for women, not for themselves for example.
it's what Matt also said "what's cheaper? that 1" men are extremely simple, while women are the opposite.

At a young age my husband and I knew what we wanted and how to inspire our boys to become responsible men.: we got them both into camping and survival training. Not to make it seem forced, we created zombie apocalypse scenarios so it was interesting at the ages of 3 and 5... now they got a solid foundation on how to relate to their parents. Giving young men skills saves them from mental illness. They can chop wood with an axe, widdle with a hunting knife, start fires with no matches or lighters, plant their own garden, clean their own room and work with my husband on construction sites... so they can hammer shit. Also at 9years old my son knew how to drive a 4x4. This year we're training/teaching them how to use a BB.
      Also legos. Best invention ever.
Give young boys skills and they will survive this onslaught of transhumanism.

I believe that public speaking is one of the duties of being a husband, at least in most cases. Females are usually more anxious and agreeeable than males AND most females will actively seek less anxious partners who are more disagreeable.
This means that the husband is often more willing to speak out than the wife and suffers less distress from confrontation. So it falls on him to voice her opinions when it really matters

Same, I dated two girls who needed my help. One was partially deaf and when people spoke too fast it would make her have to ask multiple times to repeat themselves. This is embarrassing for her, and would spark a panic attack. So she would turn to me and give me a look, and I would take over the conversation, including her in it obviously.
The second who is now a good friend of mine has limited English abilities - she always calls me over to help with an easier explanation or to do the entire conversation for her.
People looked at her like I was abusive and controlling. They immediately assumed I am a bad guy - one nurse at a doctor's office actually asked her if she needed help getting away from me!

My late husband ALWAYS carried our burdens within our marriage, family & life problems. The only times I saw him cry is at the birth of our 2 daughters & 1 son. He put on a HUGE brave front, not just for me, but the entire family, when we lost our son at 21mths old. As time passed on, we'd have our moments of grieving over our son, but still, he remained so strong & stoic for me! It was another 9yrs before I saw him cry again. That was the day the Dr told us he didn't have much longer to live. Gave him 6mths, at the most. We felt like our lives were starting to finally get back into a place of new happiness. Those last 6mths, no matter how awful he felt, he'd get up every day & do something special for the girls & myself. He even had white dresses made, he was wearing a tuxedo & I was wearing a beautiful dress. They danced to "Butterfly Kisses" because he ALWAYS promised the girls what he was going to sing at their weddings! He made sure that was one promise he didn't fail them one!! He went to his friends house, has a recording studio there) & he recorded himself with/without the music. Now the girls are going to be able to choose which version they want played at their weddings!! ❤️😥They absolutely love that song!! He had such an amazing voice & was so talented when it came to music/musical instruments! We were able to have one more Valentine's Day/my birthday together before he passed away on 2/23/15. I didn't celebrate our anniversary, (03/23) the first year b/c it just felt very sad & depressing. But today, thanks to our wonderful daughters', they've made me realize I am allowed to celebrate our anniversary if I do desire to!! So, for the first time in 8yrs, I bought myself some gifts, took myself out on a nice date, bought me some roses, etc!! Our daughters are 19.5 & 17.5yrs old. The oldest one is getting ready to wrap up her Freshman year of college & the youngest one is getting ready to wrap up her Junior year of High School. Time flies so quickly when you're living in the present, rather than staying focused on so much of the future endeavors, that we KNOW there's no way to control them right now!! So just live for TODAY!! When tomorrow comes, that's when you worry about tomorrow!! We love & miss you, Honey 🤗💕😘🕊️🕯️🧡 🙏🏻

anyway to this day me aged 24 we don't have the best of relationships and I'm frankly worried the day he dies i just won't feel as sad about it as i should him being my dad and all
so anyway i am now struggling for identity by myself

The problem is that fathers can't teach boys to manage emotions because emotions aren't anything men are talking about so they just tell boys to stop crying which leads to them repressing emotions or trying to get rid of emotion or just not showing any emotion at all even if it's hell on the inside. Instead they could teach them how to manage their emotions in a healthy way by putting names on their emotions and giving the emotions space and not resisting tough emotion.

@@kurtpunchesthings2411 So instead of over thinking it, find the patience to talk to him. Start with putting yourself in his shoes. No matter what bad he has done is in the past. But of he's as insufferable as you claim he is then maybe wait a while bc people change. The worst thing about human beings is their ego which prevents a lot of us to take action to better our self. Learn to admit to ur mistakes instead of blaming the world and everyone in it. I suggest you start with asking him questions about his life growing up, ask him how he felt when the divorce happened. Did he find it unfair. He moved to you guys and that must have been a change in his life, but he did it for you and your sister bc ur mom couldn't handle it by herself. Get to really know hi instead of judging him for his past mistakes. Do an activity that he is interested in. It should be the other way around but if you feel so strongly about regretting the time you wasted him then don't wait until he tries with you. Once you get old kid, you will understand that some people are just too old to change their old habits. Not saying it can't be done but it's much tougher. Take the torch and no matter how annoying his complaining may get just know in the end after he is gone, it will be worth the patience or else after he is gone that hole of not making the effort when u had a chance will only get bigger as a life long regret. As far as ur identity goes, you are a guy, welcome to the silence despair of a man. Wish you the best kiddo. Keep ur head up and hang in there. 👍

When your wife asks for your opinion and shows you two or three items, never say "whatever". Always pick one item.
The real secret is that your wife has already chosen, she just wants to reinforce her opinion.
If you choose the correct one, she will not bother you again.
If you choose the incorrect one, she will argue you about it, "really, this one?".
What you do if you choose wrong, ask her to show them to you again, now choose the other item.

I can totally relate to the clothing bit. My wife gave up on taking me shopping, but will model new clothes she bought before bed. All I can think of is that this is wasting money. I don't say that, I go along with it. At least it's better than hours in a mall shopping!

I’m all for more stoicism for everyone. Too much crying and having tantrums these days. It used to be something you would only show your family. Like pajamas. People wear that in public now too

Editors well done. The subtle meme references get me every time. Oh yeah and also Matt had some good points.

I'll say it out loud, Matt. Women DO want their men to be stoic. My husband is a rock, the foundation of our family. I've seen him break down under extreme circumstances, but usually we rely on him to be the strong one. I'm the nurturer and play an important role, but let's face it, I'm emotional. That's why the differences between men and women are so important, we balance each other. I hate how these traits in men are labelled as toxic when strong men are the base of our whole society.
