    Thank you for the straight up and direct advice. I have been collecting for 6+ years and have a decent collection. About 2 years ago I quit selling/trading in my bulk. I have been building it up while contemplating the start of selling on the platforms you mention. I sometimes think about listing EVERYTHING that I have in my collection to use the profits as a foundation to invest in more. Please continue the vids.

    I'm curious as to how I can sell on eBay, TCGPlayer, etc as a minor? I technically am not supposed to because I'm only 17 and they require that you are a legal adult. I sell on TCGPlayer but ebay is tough because they recently upped their security when it comes to background checking their sellers. I also want to get licenses with distributors but I don't even believe that is possible at my age either. Are there any good ways to sell cards for profit that I can try? All of my LGS really lowball me when it comes to the cards I try and sell to them because their trying to do the same thing that I'm doing which I guess makes sense lol. I'm just trying to talk to people and see what my options are because once I turn 18 I'm probably going to have to drop this operation at least until I've finished school and I have a steady career.

    Love your videos. I am from Mexico I just lived near the border with the US. We do not have the availability to pokemon tcg product like the us have. I have find that cards of course by supply/demand are expensive. As well there is no tcgplayer all is made mostly through local shops or facebook trade/sell groups. Im seeing cards getting sold for 2x the price even almost x3 for those that play competitive/casual. Definetly I will make a first step looking to buy on tcgplayer as a user its great. But for this purpose you think buying on tcgplayer is the best option or stores/sellers sell their stuff on wholesale?

    • @TheLabTCG

    • @808cryptoshark5
      @808cryptoshark5 Год назад +1

      If you are familiar with ebay you could always use variations and create a "Complete a set" listing. $0.99 is the lowest you are able to price things on ebay so what I have done to bring my price lower is offer volume promotions and you could also create a shipping promo. "Buy 10 or more get free shipping".

    Thanks for the info. I've learned a lot from you. However, one thing I strongly disagree with is eBay. My experience with them as a seller was TERRIBLE. I sold around 40 items and had a perfect 100% positive feedback. Out of those 40 items, I was scammed by buyers 5 times. eBay's return policy is so far in the buyer's favor that after I was scammed twice, I decided to start documenting everything. So when I was scammed the 3rd, 4th, and 5th time, I had video proof that the buyer was lying. eBay of course still took the buyer's side and I had several items essentially stolen from me. Along with having to refund the buyer who was lying, I had to pay their shipping costs as well. That may just be my experience, but every 5 out of 40 items being stolen destroyed my already paper thin profit margins (Due to eBay's incredibly high fees). They do absolutely nothing whatsoever to help the Seller. There's a ton of eBay seller horror stories all over RUclips so I really don't believe this is an isolated incident.

      Thanks so much for the comment and for the differing viewpoint! In my experience, I have been able to dispute any claim that is set against me and have not lost yet Compared to Shopify or other eCommerce platforms, eBay is significantly better at protecting its merchants. I know the eBay for sellers Facebook page is also a great resource to get help with tough situations. Personal experience aside, I have heard that eBay can be a nightmare to deal with sometimes. I think both viewpoints have validity and I appreciate you commenting on your experience!

    I've been on ebay for over 3 years now selling pokemon singles, slabs, and packs. I need to find a cheaper way to sell my stuff. Ebay is overly expensive with their fees and they have rigged the game, you have to "promote" your stuff in order to have a decent amount of views. I'm over ebay especially since end of 2021 the pandemic made everyone and their grandmother sell on ebay now. Does anyone have a easier and less pricey way to go about my business I've worked 2 years very hard for. Ebay is def going to lose my money soon. They are overly expensive terrible at helping customers whether it's a seller or buyer. Thank you in advance for any help!

    • @TheLabTCG

      In my opinion, the service that ebay provides is worth the fees. That being said, I would look into Amazon or TCGPlayer. Amazon is not necessarily cheaper, but you can charge more for your products. Mercari is another platform that has gained popularity for a few reasons, but the main one being that it has a flat 10% final value fee.

      It is very important to make the distinction between having this as a hobby and making this a business. As a business, your forefront forcus should be turning a profit.
