Thank You, Bro. They never put your name down. We will see you soon I’m sure. Clean voice easy to understand & fallowing.ect
Bought this exact setup for my church. I’m blown away by the functionality and user interface. Well done guys
Thanks for your support! Glad you are enjoying the App!
This is BY FAR the best app I've ever used for music. I'm simply blown away by the layering this thing offers, and this exact set-up has replaced my expensive stage piano because it just excels in every department. The demos at the end can reduce a person to tears. They're beautiful!!
I started on this app and have kind of graduated to the MainStage template. One thing the app needs big time is a fader setting like in MainStage (pickup/relative). Pickup is a game changer.
This is the cherry on top I have been missing for years.
Currently setting up my rig!
😍
Man love the concept. Wish other companies like spectrasonics and spitfire could jump on board and allow their plugins to work in your app. That would be a game changer. Keep doing your thing man. Love your creativity of making it easier and more efficient for musicians to do worship
Those pads are amazing. Gonna build my whole rig around it
Wow! I’ve been using a couple of other apps like Ravenscroft, MKSensation and Pure Piano combined with mixers like AUM. But man, this app really looks great and seems to have everything I need in just one place. I am really gonna try this app. Good job
Nice work sounds great 👍
This is CLEAN!
Wow wow wow, this is amazing to have as a tool, going to be buying this entire setup shortly, can’t wait to use it. Do you know if there is or ever will be a iPad app for Sunday GUITAR???? I would love this same software to be able to use on a guitar
I just purchased a UBS or Battery powered Zoom U-22 for $50 as my iPad interface.
It has 1 combined jack input and stereo RCA outs. I bought 15 feet RCA/1/4 cables.
It’s small and super lite and portable. Just putting it out there.
Thanks @revdrum, this is what I've been looking for!
Hi Dave...great video as always. Just thought I would ask about what your thoughts are on using the SL73 as an auxiliary key (2nd Keys) in a live church worship environment. Any input you have is much appreciated.
Amazing set up! May I know what amp speaker you’re using. Cheers
I bought this setup and have got it up and running. Really great rig and very simple to use. I do have one problem that I haven't been able to resolve. The piano patches all seem to have an organ or pad sound starting around middle C and going up the keyboard. It is much more pronounced when using the sustain pedal. Even using "Just A Grand" it does it. I can't get a clean piano sound. I've tried everything I know to do. I'm pretty sure it's probably a setting within the SL 88 or in the Sunday Keys app that needs changing but I can't figure it out. Any idea's or suggestions on what it could be?
I would love to see a demo of controlling the App with a Nord Stage 3! Is that even possible?
Awesome! But out of curiosity is there a way to do this without the interface?? Or for example for a small get together or small practice without any large speaker setting… what kind of set up would you use for that ?
What's the maximum polyphony for this app?
Is there a certain number of notes you can play at a time before some notes start to get cut out? Thanks!
I have the music of the church in the iPad. If I hide the app and open the word doc of the music the sound left or stay?
I made the one patch that you made a video of. Do you have other patches you could share?
We use an xair 16 channel digital mixer for our sound. Will this just run through that mixer or do I need to have a separate mixer, amp and speaker for the keyboard.
Question: can I connect my power supply by the proper adapter and still connect to the usb hub for sending midi signals?
Question. If I use Sunday keys iPad but in my case since we have no sound guy I use my tablet to control our digital mixer (x32app)from stage. Will that affect the Sunday keys app in any way if i jump between apps?
I'm just curious which one is better, this app on iPad or mainstage with Sunday Keys? which of the two are more powerful?
Ok sir
Im deciding between using the ipad or the macbook to run sounds.. but i also need to run the track myself..
Can you use this App and the Prime app from Loopcomunity at the same time??
Does sunday keys have trumpet sounds? Very essential for latin churches
Can you make this work with iphones please?
Have you experimented with running the same rig with an electric guitar?
Hello. Quick question. What if you want to play live but where you’re playing is not a place to be able to come through the house? More specifically at an outside event or anywhere that requires your own amp/ mixer and loud speaker.
I'm really interested. I have a question: can you use this setup to add other software like Keyscape for instance?
Can you do something like this with Samsung (Android) tablets?
If I have a plugin I want to use in my iPad with this software, how can I do that?
I have a question, did you use amplifier to produce sounds?
I have been playing around with SundayKeys for MainStage for a few weeks and was trying to price/piece together the necessary hardware for the iPad setup. This video helps out so much. I too was looking at the Presonus usb audio interface. David @Sunday Sounds, I have two questions for you. In the video were you using the individual volume controllers on the SK app to add dynamics to the sounds? Also, can the mod wheel be programmed to move through snapshots (add dynamics) like in the Sunday Keys cover song template video with MainStage? Thanks
Hi Warren, yes! You can use the faders to bring sounds in and out in real time while you play, or dial in preset levels using Patch Snapshots - we have a full video on this coming out very soon that will also cover the new feature Snapshot Transitions. You can program the Mod wheel position for each snapshot as well, and set the amount of time everything fades in/changes using the Snapshot Transition Feature.
Who can I get the Sunday keys app
Hi wanna. How much is that Sunday sound App?
Really love the app. Even with my pretty low-budget iPad (2017) it still works just fine (would not recommend it on stage, though...). I have two questions:
1. How would you set-up a rig with click, when using time-based effects (delay, or sequencer, arps,...). Is there a way to synchronize? Or use two outputs from iPad?
2. more like a feature-request: I really would love to be able to use drum loops within the app (as the WorshipBeats within the MainStage-Template). Is this by any chance on your roadmap? Would be great!
Thanks for all the good work and great tools! You do an amazing job!
Achin
It’s pretty easy to set up a separate click in the mainstage template. The SK app is unable to do it but I’ve been told they’re looking into it.
Where can I download the app
How about a synth sound?
Hey I stumbled on this video again and re-watched it. I wanted to ask what iPad mount is that you’re using at the beginning of the video. Looks really clean and close to the midi controller.
That would be this one, we did gaff tape it to the keyboard for more stability: amzn.to/3aUIKdM (affiliate link)
Hello so i bought the new recommendation USB hub but it dint power up my keybpard like ur white one did i had to use my keyboards power cable since it dint power up my keyboard will it not power up my interface when i get it??
Some keyboards (usually ones with built-in sounds) will still need to be plugged in to work. Most midi only keyboards can all be powered via USB. The keyboard we use in this video (Studiologic SL88 Studio) can be powered via USB or plugged into the wall.
I have a very simple question but can't find the answer. Can I run Mainstage on my Ipad Pro, (O.S 16.5) without needing to install another piece of DAW software? I just want midi in with vst sounds out.
Hi, MainStage is only available for MacOS.
Hello my friends, can you active de modwheel from the ipad even if you don´t have a modwheel in the keyboard? regards...
Yes, you can use the mod wheel via the touch screen. You can also program it to the Patch Snapshots so it will change automatically when you select different Snapshots.
i'm considering getting sunday keys and getting an Ipad air 64 gig with the M1 chip 8core cpu. how does the recent release of the ventura OS effect the compatibility of mainstage & sunday keys with this I Pad ?.....thank you
Hi John, we don't recommend updating your Mac's OS unless you have a compelling reason to, but ALWAYS backup your Apps and do a Time Machine Backup before updating just in case you need to revert back. The Sunday Keys App for iPad will not be impacted since iPadOS is different from OS Ventura on Mac and the App is standalone, no MainStage or other software needed to use the App.
David, will there ever be song specific patched for the iPad app we can download?
Yes, we don't have a date yet, but Song Specific Patches for the App are in development.
what stand are you using for the iPad in the video? it looks like it has a little angle
We used this stand in some of the intro footage, gaff taped to the top of the keyboard: amzn.to/3aUIKdM (affiliate link).
We have a few other iPad stand recommendations in the video description.
Can I record the audio from the Sunday keys app? Thanks very much for your help and the cool video!
Yes, the simplest way is to just use the native screen record function on your iPad.
@@SundaySounds thanks very much for your reply!
Can I use my arturia midi controller wiht it? also, can I assing the faders from the arturia to the app?
Yes to both! The App has full MIDI learn so you can assign controls to your hardware knobs, buttons, faders, etc.
How is the action/playability on this keyboard compared to higher end keyboards like the Nord? Trying to encourage my pianists to go the keyboard route a bit more often, but they don’t wanna play on a “toy”
The Keyboard in this video (SL88 Studio) has a great weighted, hammer action feel. We have a review on it here: ruclips.net/video/7h5sQu1KxN0/видео.html
Hey, im new to all this and had a question. Does it have to be a Midi keyboard or can it be any keyboard? for example, like a Nord?
Welcome! Great question. You can use any keyboard that is capable of sending midi data, either over usb or via a midi port out the back. This means virtually any keyboard manufactured in the last 35+ years is compatible :)
Hay. Does it require a lot of space to download and install Sunday sounds packs ? Because I’m choosing between iPad Air 64 and 256 GB. Thanks
Hi, App users should expect the long-term storage space required to be in the range of 5 to 10 GB of space within the next year.
Can you recommend another powered hub since the Anker one is no longer available.
Hi, our current recommendation is this anker hub with a separate power supply:
USB Hub: amzn.to/3O9aee0 (affiliate link)
Hub Power Supply: amzn.to/39hIK7g (affiliate link)
Hi! I just want to ask. I will be having the same setup however I don't use audio interface for audio output. What I'm doing before is I'm using 3.5mm jack to amplifier (since our instruments has individual amp) I will be using this USB Hub with PD (Anker PowerPort Atom III). I don't know if there's a way I can still USD 3.5mm jack for audio output. Do you have recommendations?
Hi, if your iPad still has a headphone jack you could use that. If not you could try looking into a simple USB to Headphone adaptor/interface. We do highly recommend an interface for long term stability and durability.
@@SundaySounds I will be using Ipad Air 5.
the USB hub you guys have suggested only has 2 normal usb ports. so plugging in anything other than the USB Pro and the keyboard doesnt really work. suggestions?
It also has a USB Type C port, so if your device has a detachable cable, you can get a cable with Type C on the end that plugs into the hub. But, any hub that has power delivery will work so you also may be able to find one that better suits your needs, we do prefer the Anker brand as we have been using that brand for years without any issues.
What could I try if the Sunday Keys app doesn’t sync with my keyboard? Basically everything’s working for me, I hear iPad sounds through the sanctuary speakers, and the app recognizes my audio interface (GoXLR) and keyboard (Yamaha S90), but when I play the keyboard, the notes don’t play through the speakers, and nothing happens in the app.
Hi, it looks like that model requires a driver, which are not supported on iPadOS. You would need a Midi to USB interface to run from the Midi Output port to a USB connection on your hub. Or if you are using an audio interface with Midi you could run a Midi cable to that instead. We recommend the "iConnectivity mio 1-in 1-out USB to MIDI Interface" as some of the cheaper Midi to USB interfaces are not always the most reliable or accurate.
Hi, want to ask your opinion, must keyboard output be stereo sound? For years my church been using mono due to the limited channels in our mixer. How much quality loss in sound if I use mono instead of stereo?
Hi, if your Church Front of House is mono, we would recommend a mono output. You can set the Output to mono in the Audio Settings.
@@SundaySounds the output from our keyboard is mono and our front of house speaker is stereo. We pan the keyboard center. I guess we should start thinking of going stereo for our keyboard output, thanks
Been watching all of your videos . Great stuff, great app.
Question…. Where are you mounting the Audio interface? Is it just sitting on the ground? Thanks.
Jon
Thank you Jonathan! We just place the Audio Interface on the floor. Apart for setting up the initial output level, you shouldn't really need to do anything else with the Audio Interface.
@@SundaySounds I ended up getting velcro and mounting it under my keyboard.
So looking at the recommended anker hub as per the seller the USB A ports and USB C data port all dont support charging only the PD one so this wont charge anything else other than the ipad any other recommendations for a hub tht has USB A ports tht support charging aswell
Those ports will still supply the normal power needed to connect other USB Bus powered devices such as a midi keyboard or interface.
@@SundaySounds thank you will tested out if not will try and find an altrnative. thank you and thank you for creating this amazing app
my keyboard doesnt have a built in usb port, is there a solution to run sunday keys app.
If it doesn't have a USB port, it should still have a Midi Port, then you can use the Midi to USB cable (we have one linked in the video description)
Would the m-audio air hub work as both a powered hub and interface?
Sadly no, that interface does not support power delivery so it will not charge your iPad/device. If it did it would be perfect.
Can you still buy, download and use song specific patches in the iPad version?
Hi, not yet - but we are working to bring a Song Specific Patch experience to the App at a later time.
Hi. I’m new to using this kind of set up and also for using midi. Question: Can I just use my piano power supply adapter to power my piano? Or it is a requirement to power it using through the usb hub? I don’t have a USB port on my piano. Thank you
Hi, yes you can. Typically if your keyboard has built in sounds then it will need a separate power supply, but keyboards that are only midi controllers with no internal sounds can usually be powered via usb so it ends up being one less cable needed.
Thank you for your response. Right now, I just bought the presonus audiobox. What cable do i need to connect it to the piano and my ipad?
@@marimarjovero5113 You will probably need a MIDI Cable, you can reach our support here, we would be happy to walk through gear setup and connections specific to your hardware: sundaysounds.com/contact
Can you still control the tonic on your iPhone via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
Hi Jaben, you can use the TouchOSC app (along with the layout included with Sunday Keys) to control the Sunday Keys App. You would need to set the TouchOSC Midi send port to network (click the link icon, then Midi), then on the iPad running Sunday Keys set the Secondary Midi Controller to Network Midi, and then connect to the iPhone/device running TouchOSC using the Network Midi button. Then you can assign the controls on TouchOSC to the iPad using Midi Learn.
Does Sunday sounds have live brass sounds?
Very soon!
is it a paid app?
I purchased the recommended Anker USB hub as well as the power delivery. The PreSonus does not power up with it. When I connect it with another usb hub, which is much bigger as it's part of my PC setup, it powers up immediately. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you
Strange, we used this exact setup with the updated hub for a conference last week and the interface worked as expected. One thing to check, that Anker 7 in 1 hub does have 2 usb C ports, one is specifically labeled for the power delivery, make sure the power supply is plugged into that one. The other c port is just a normal port. Another thing we have noticed is sometimes flipping the usb c cable or extender cable where it plugs into the iPad (even though it shouldn't matter) fixes any strange usb issues we've encountered like midi not working. If that doesn't work, the hub might be defective so you could reach out to issue a return/replacement.
@@SundaySounds I’ll try these solutions. Thanks.
iS THERE A FREE TRIAL OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT FOR THE APP? I HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS LIKE, CAN YOU SPLIT THE SOUNDS? THE SUSTAIN? CAN THE APP RUN IN THE BACKGROUND? ETC, ETC... THANKS!
Hi, you can download it free on the App store and try it out in Demo mode. We have a full App walkthrough video here: ruclips.net/video/ep2gHojQ1d8/видео.html
Do you have a recommendation for a hub that works with Lightning connection iPad. Without the usb-c cable. Thanks
We do, you will need an Apple brand Camera Connector Kit, then use the stock iPad charger into connector kit to charge the iPad, then use a powered USB-A hub into Connector Kit. We have a guide and the hub recommendations here under the Lightning Port section: support.sundaysounds.com/hc/en-us/articles/5975993985047
@@SundaySounds Thank you!
@@SundaySounds Thank You!!!
Hi its work if only usb midi to ipad direct without audio interface?
Hi, you can use a a USB or Midi to USB cable to connect your gear. You still would need a way to get your audio to the sound board, which we recommend an audio interface for.
But still i can use the sound from board without audio inter face?
Does it work on ipad mini 6??
Yes!
Can you import your own sounds ?
Hi Andrew, currently the Sunday Keys App will only load patches from it's own Patch Library. You can customize and save Sounds and Patches to the User Library. You are able to import your own Sounds to the MainStage and Ableton Live formats of Sunday Keys.
What other usb hub needed for iPad with lightning to usb?
If your iPad features a lightning jack, you’ll need to set things up a little differently by utilizing the “Camera Connector Kit” available directly from Apple. This plugs directly into your iPad’s lightning jack and gives you a single USB-A port next to a lightning port. Connect your iPad’s charger to the lightning port, which will provide power directly to your iPad. Then you’ll need to acquire a separate, powered USB hub and plug that into the USB-A port on the Camera Connector Kit. You’ll connect your MIDI and audio hardware to this powered USB hub.
We have a guide/schematic here if your iPad uses lightning: support.sundaysounds.com/hc/en-us/articles/5975993985047
Pls I'm considering to go for Sunday key app, but I have my iPad mini 16gb, I want to know if it will work well?
Does this work on any Keyboard? I have a motif es7 at church and I’m having trouble getting this to work, idk if I’m doing something wrong 😢😅
It's plug and play with any class compliant keyboard/controller. Some keyboards require a driver to be used as a Midi controller (Yamaha Keyboards tend to need one), if that is the case you will need to use a Midi cable either to your audio interface or a simple Midi to Usb Cable into your Usb Hub. This is because drivers are not supported on iPadOS.
@@SundaySounds awesome I’ll try this thanks!! I’m too excited to try this during Live worship ! 🙌🙌❤️❤️
@@SundaySounds also, you mean an actual MIDI to usb A, not a printer to usb A correct?
@@abelrodriguez1687 Yes, this is the one we use and recommend: USB to MIDI Interface: amzn.to/3tuEfNg
is the A14 cpu enough to run app on full setlist.?
Yes!
can you do a demo with the new ipad with the A14 cpu?
@@jjpjpj3302 We've used the App on devices with older chips than that, as far back as the 6th gen iPad with the A10 processor, so the A14 will be good to go :) If you're looking to buy new, though, we'd recommend spending a bit more to get a new iPad Air with the M1 chip.
I assume the app will work with the new M2 ipads??
Oh yeah
Yes, if you are looking to save, prices on M1 iPad Pro models should start to drop with the new M2 iPad Pro release.
Can i use it with out the interface?

@@SundaySounds ah okay. Cool. That's for the iPad to come out in-house right?
how to get the app for the ipad?
It is available now the App Store. You can try it for free in Demo Mode. You will need a Sunday Keys License to use the full version: sundaysounds.com/pages/sunday-keys-app

If I use a Korg BN-2 (which has built-in audio delivery) as my midi controller, can I just connect that to my PA system to deliver sounds from the Sunday Keys app without the need for the audio interface?
It will depend if your keyboard is Class Compliant. Currently drivers are not supported on iPadOS, so if your hardware requires a driver it will not work with the App. If your keyboard does require a driver, you can still use it as a Midi Controller via a Midi Cable or Midi to USB connection.
