Sebastian can sing. I love watching Skid Row videos because they always do a great job of telling the story. One drunken mistake in a split second can ruin your life.
Song is actually based on a real story. One of the band members read about a kid shooting his friend and going to prison, so they wrote this song about it.
'Bang-bang, shoot em up. The party never ends. You can't think of dying when the bottle's your best friend.' My favorite lines in this awesome song. Love Sebastian Bach!
Those lyrics hit SO HARD!!! When you're drunk to the point Ricky was, logic goes out the window. You don't think of danger and you don't think of dying.
Portrayed as a pretty boy 90's band, not recognized by their true talent, another heart felt and real song is "Wasted Time" . Thank you both for your respectful and genuine reactions💖
I Rebelled When I Was 17 & Joined The U.S. Navy To Get Away From South Central Los Angeles In 1986! In 1989 When This Awesome Song Came Out, I Was Stationed In Asia 🌏! I Retired In 2007, & Became An Entrepreneur & A Dual Citizen Of The USA & Canada ( 🇺🇸🇨🇦 )! 18 & Life 🧬 🤙💯!
Energy & reactions from both of you are perfect. As far as do the crime, do the time, part of lyrics of this song are “Your crime is time”. You both were feeling the song when those lyrics hit. Much love & respect ❤️
I like all types of music. It drives me crazy when people say rock/metal causes and triggers people to do harmful things. This song is perfect example of why NOT to do crimes
i loved your response! ya, the boy did that. I want to tell ya the story of a childhood friend, Jean-Marie Pepin. Great hockey player and a good friend to many many people. We all grew up together, and he was a regular dude. However, turns out tragic.. in that he and a bunch of good ole boys were at the local bar, and there was a brawl. Jean-Marie, who normally didn't do anything like this, was drunk and participated in something that would change his entire life, turn the trajectory he had going on into something he NEVER would have chosen for himself. He punched someone in the temple, they went down like a ton of bricks, and died. Jean-Marie was charged with murder, although he pled to Manslaughter, and is still doing the time. For me.. the system is its' own evil lil storyline.. in so many people's personal story.
Sebastian Bach had the best pipes in Hard Rock imo. I was 18 in 1991 and played the hell out of their self-titled debut album on cassette. Please react to more Skid Row. My favorite songs of theirs are Wasted Time, 18 and Life, I Remember You, Sweet Little Sister, and Youth Gone Wild (in that order).
I love Shawn's reaction to him getting letterly getting thrown out of the house by his father. I watched this in the 90's and remember the goodbye he said to his dad. Almost like a salute-good bye.
@@LaurenRoberson-bc3qu Yeah I don't know why I notice that. Maybe because to me his friend stood by his side and knew the dad due to being at the house. Maybe Dad lost two " sons" that day.
Okay I find this fascinating. This song came out how long ago, we are in different worlds at that time but still in one world. You pay attention to the first salute, me the second, our paths cross and we share this tid bit. My dad's eulogy picture, a dad I didn't get along with, had a similar salute for his picture. The fact you notice the second salute now will now talk to you. Incredible.
@@jackiegoodspeed1849 I may have noticed that because of dad also. I had one those dads that thought he deserved a lot of respect but didn't act like a father worthy of respect. I thought to myself what a way to say "here is your respect dad, goodbye".
This song is a powerful and mournful lament to how foolishness and impulsiveness can ruin your life. It is one of the true masterpieces of heavy metal from the latter age of the Golden Age when Metal was all the rage.
Baz has a voice of God's. To think this is 30 + years old , you should really check out some of his solo stuff such as Temptation. Voice still sounds like he's on his 20
Incredible song and video , skids first album with Sebastian Bach on lead vocals , massive single and album , they were opening for bon Jovi , after this they were headlining 👍🥃the other little band from Jersey .
I think this song and video might have saved my life when I was a very angry misguided teenager back then. I would think about the consequences of what my anger was pushing me to do and say to myself " stop, don't, its not worth it."
It is based on a true story, about an 18-year-old boy who accidentally shot his best friend with a gun that he thought was unloaded and who was given a life sentence as a result.
I dunno if anyone else has noticed, but the video that you're watching is the edited version. The original shows Ricky spray painting a smiley face with a bullet hole painted on it & blood painted on it, dripping from the face, in the bldg he & his friend were spray painting. MTV made them edit it out or they wouldn't show it. Watch the original, & you'll really be affected even more.
I love skid Row. Sebastian was a powerhouse. That video made us think. Skid Row will always be remembered. Unfortunately these bands forgot they were a unit.
Just to break this down real quick he came from an abusive household he loved carrying a gun he got drunk and the line "that child blew a child away" is basically saying he killed his best friend.
You guys would like another great song by them, "I Remember You". Another great song with a message from a rock group is "Jamie's Got A Gun" (1989) by Aerosmith.
Sebastian can sing. I love watching Skid Row videos because they always do a great job of telling the story. One drunken mistake in a split second can ruin your life.
I agree! He can really sing. For those who did not know it, he actually sang on Broadway in the Phantom of the Opera.
And Jesus Christ Superstar, Jeckyll and Hyde and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I know that first hand
Which is why I don't fuck with alcohol.
An unforgettable song. And the lead singer, Sebastian Bach, has some SERIOUS pipes.
I remember you is a must listen
Song is actually based on a real story. One of the band members read about a kid shooting his friend and going to prison, so they wrote this song about it.
Showing my age here......I went through 3 Skid Row "Skid Row" cassette tapes, the summer it was really. Thank you so much for doing this one.
I’m right there with you in wearing out those Skid Row cassettes! It was a great time for rock’n’roll!
The one line that gets me every time "That child blew a child away" OUCH!!!!
I always heard "that shot, blew a child away"
But, it never mattered.
The child that was blown away was ALSO Ricky....
Skid Row - I Remember You. It's a beautiful ballad and Sebastian has amazing vocals on this one as well.
👍👏👏👏🔥
Top 10 song of all time
'Bang-bang, shoot em up. The party never ends. You can't think of dying when the bottle's your best friend.' My favorite lines in this awesome song. Love Sebastian Bach!
I had Bach's Posters all over my teenage room LOL I loved him hahahaha
Enjoy vintage Skid Row guys. We metalheads been rockin the shit for 45 years. Awesome
Those lyrics hit SO HARD!!! When you're drunk to the point Ricky was, logic goes out the window. You don't think of danger and you don't think of dying.
One og rhe most powerful voices on the planet.
Absolutely luv Sebastian Bach...
He went on to do 4 shows on Broadway!!
He's an amazing singer and performer....
Sebastian Bach had such a great voice and maybe still does I don’t know but he was the most gorgeous man with the best hair ever! Lol!
Sebastian has been starring in many Broadway shows. His voice is perfect for Broadway
"Youth gone wild" is a BANGER, you both would love that one too!!!
One of my top 3 all time bands. This song was everything. Made me obsessed with rock like never before.
Song is based on a true story that the band read about in a newspaper. Awesome song, awesome band.. now check out I Remember You.
Portrayed as a pretty boy 90's band, not recognized by their true talent, another heart felt and real song is "Wasted Time" . Thank you both for your respectful and genuine reactions💖
Yes Wasted Time is a powerful song and Sebastian sounds great
This ^
Fantastic band, killed by grunge.
So true.

Awesome reaction guys... this song always gets me

Sebastian Bach was a teenage heartthrob --- their song "I Remember You" is a slower ballad
Teenage nostalgia❤
the singer was 17 years old when he did that song.
GOD BACH was so amazing!!!!!
.
Sebastian Bach was genetically engineered to be a Rock Star
Great job guys. Love watching your reactions to the rock ‘n’ roll music.
Slave to the grind. Awesome song. Even has cowbell lol
Your reaction to Sebastian's vocals at the end brought LITERAL TEARS to my eyes!! His voice is OUT OF THIS WORLD. INSTANT sub from me! ❤🔥🔥💯❤️🎶🎶🎶
One of the great hair bands of our youth! This Generation X "kid" loves your channel! ❤✌
The forgotten generation. 🤟
@@richardworton4597 Didn't we invent the motto: "If it's too loud, you're too old!"? How could a generation so loud be forgotten? ✌👊

That truly was Rock N Roll
Great song,The 80's had the best music BY FAR!!!

Great and good reactionn about the social aspects that nobody did in others reactions that makes balance .. 🙏🏻 thanks for that 🍀🍀✨✨✨
Sebastian Bach really had my heart when he took the role of Gil on Gilmore Girls. Takes something to poke fun of what you're known for.
Sebastian Bach played a musician named Gil in the TV show Gilmore Girls.
In an episode of Gilmore Girls, this song is playing on the car radio.

Got to listen to “Piece of Me” by this band. All time favorite song.
Definitely check out Skid Row - I remember you, Monkey Business, Quicksand Jesus, Wasted Time, Youth gone Wild......to name a few. LOL.
Can relate to this song... One that hit me the hardest is Garth Brooks The night I called the Old man Out....

Sebastian could sing but he also wrote some very deep stuff
The way I grew up. You don't put your hands on your parents. PERIOD.. Great song. I was about 26 when this came out.
I got to see them during their first US tour. I was so excited to go to the show. They were outstanding.
There's this Texas cowboy favorite couple that can do no wrong in this cowboys book god bless you both 🤠
Ahh Sebastian… many tried to replace you but honestly no one can match your voice… so glad i grew up during this era…

"Quicksand Jesus" and "Monkey Business" are couple more great Skid Row songs.
You both have dropping bangers for the past couple of years, thank you 🤘

I liked the country song Sebastian did called one more battle with the bottle
Sebastián is the best lead singer of Skidrow. Nothing can match him eversince.
The worst thing skid-row ever did was got rid of Sebastian Bach. His voice was the heart of the band
