Thank you Greg for your endlessly enjoyable and balanced coverage of the whole spectrum of Australian music, from the power and passion of Cold Chisel and Midnight Oil to the more subtle pleasures of bands like the Triffids (others in the latter category maybe worth exploring are the Go-Betweens and the Church).

The Church have been around since 1980 and still record (27 studio albums) and tour today. Understated vocals and often esoteric lyrics but a quite powerful twin guitar attack. A good starting point might be studio cuts from 1988 U.S. breakthrough album Starfish...Destination, Blood Money, North, South, East & West, Reptile, Antenna (David Lindley on mandolin), etc. with good 2013 live versions on Moshcam channel.

The Go-Betweens were a great Brisbane band of the 1980s and an understated and underappreciated treasure... studio versions of Streets of Your Town, Bachelor Kisses and Cattle and Cane are all good starting points.

Thanks Greg. I enjoy your reactions. Here is an Aussie song that I that I have never seen anyone react to, It is "Winter in America" by Doug Ashdown. A beautiful song that was resurrected in the 1990s. The video is 50 years old and worth watching to see for the 70's fashion.
