Hola Ian. Estoy pensando en ampliar mi capacidad de viaje, y tu video me es muy útil. Este equipo de Tusk me parece es exactamente lo que necesito. Gracias, me ayudadaste a resolver algunas dudas. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
I have the Excursion kit. Great luggage for the price. Enough room for minimalist ADV, or longer trips if you plan to use hotels. These bags are larger than I prefer. The larger the bags, the more necessary stuff you bring.
@@shaneskismcsparky4559 I haven't done any mods atm. Went off roading for the first time yesterday, one part had some bad ruts and bike landed on my ankle gonna buy some legit off roading boats and try again once I heal up.
@@Mycatz Sorry to hear about the ankle, hopefully you heal up fast! I also got out for my first offroad ride yesterday and it was amazing. Dumped the bike a couple times but all is good. I definitely recommend some good boots mine already saved my ankle. I'm wearing the Sidi adventure boots. They're not cheap but worth every penny. Motocross boots might be a better option though.
@@shaneskismcsparky4559 Thanks, I ordered the Sidi SRS Crossfire boots, another week and I should be healed enough to get back out there. Sounds awesome. Hope you get to crush some more trails!
I bought these for my vstrom last summer. The one thing I did not like was that the handrails do not allow the bags to curve around seat. I wish the center section was a little wider. The small quickdraw bag ( thats what its called?) looks water proof but leaks like a sieve and lets water in but not out. I cut the straps accordingly to mitigate the possibility of getting wrapped up in chain. And I also added some insulation to the heat shield because its gets hot and rt bag is pressed hard against it with my installation. For the money they work as intended , you just cant take the kitchen sink.
Great video. Whats your opinion on the style of bags like the givi ea127? Can't they also be mounted rackless while offering you easiest access to you things? They also leave space for a passenger.
Some of the downsides which are keeping my from seriously considering a rackless system is ease of taking them on and off as well as security. Do you know of any rackless systems that don't have these downsides?
If you live in Australia it is much cheaper to buy a set of quality pannier racks and panniers than use the Moskomoto Revolver system. Probably applies to the Tusk bags as well. The tyranny of distance.
Thank you for the video. What advice / opinion would you have comparing the Tusk to the Giant Loop Great Basin for a KTM 890. Primary use would be a BDR such as Wyoming or Idaho with camping. I would value your thoughts?
Have you found a good way to fully pack the inner dry bags and then get them to go into the mounted outers? I’ve found it’s worse than trying to wrestle a water balloon over a greased watermelon 😂

I love my x2 just took it to the GL Rally and lived off the bike for 7 days worked great
Good to hear you’re improving. Getting my right knee replaced Wednesday so I’ll be out from riding for a while.
Thanks for the content. I've learned a lot from your channel and happily buy things you review and recommend.

Thank You Big Rock Moto for convincing me to never put a graphics kit on my Aprilia Tuareg

This is on my list of things to order to finish my KLX300 ADV build.
I was also thinking of doing this but I was just a little worried it might be too much bag for the klx300. What other mods did you do?

Thanks for these rackless reviews, very useful. Will you be testing the Touratech version too? This is a competitively priced for european riders
good video, I am new to adventure cycling and you make it easy to understand, thanks!
Love my Tusk rackless bags I have. Wanted a R40 from MM but they were out of stock and well the Tusk was way cheaper and works........

My highland original system moves forward and backward and have abraided holes in itself. Do these move forward and backward when strapped down?
Soft luggage 100% here. The Tusk works well!
Thanks for doing the mosko/tusk. Looking at changing out my wolfman. Love the graphics on the Tuareg, where from?
Love the Tuareg!
Get some Rustoleum NeverWet fabric spray and it will make the bags waterproof. Awesome stuff.
Do you have an affiliate link for where you purchase your mesh seat covers?
Heck we should be buying stock in their company, he will sustain all of us as many as he buys a year. Lol

Can you combine rack less panniers with a hard top case ?
Can the Highland X2 system be used on a Honda CRF 300 L Rally or is it too big?

Please make more videos on luggage , also on Jerry can how to carry
Do Tusk make rackless luggage that still allows me to take a pillion rider?

Ian I like these rackless systems. I’m guessing that I’d have to remove the racks from my GSA to use these right?
Great video. So your moving, where to if you don’t mind me asking.
I saw on another video that he's not moving far.
You are moving? Will you have to rename your channel? 😂😜. Good luck with the move!
Do these and/or the mosko version take up pillion space?
yes, not usable with pillion
Moving?
I heard that too. Are you moving north to avoid the snow? Great bike and mountain bike riding up north!!

Maybe put empty (or half-packed) dry bag into holder. Then pack the rest of it.
@@kjbetz that’s a good idea and most of the time what I do. Just wish it would go in packed
Will it fit KTM 790 Adventure R? I'm between Kriega OS 18 and Tusk system. Thank you for your videos👍

Just get a hard case, stop being a hard case.
Why not get what works best for your own system?
Stop being a hard case yourself.
@@CesarRamirez-cn5fw if you get anything hard , it would be a miracle. Haha 💩
Hard cases are great for ROAD trips. Soft are better for off road.
Funny! You advertise the system as trackless, and then state you need a tail rack to mount the damn things. Useless.
He literally explains what rackless is vs pannier and you still felt the need to express your lack of knowledge
@@Timelessplays and you felt the need to also throw in your 2 cents. SMH!
