Looks the goods! Why have i never seen this rackless system here in Australia? I've sent through an email to Rockymountain sales, to see if they're interested in some exposure over here!
They should, a guy at work took a job over there for 3 years, bought an older Husaberg 390, and rode the whole time he was there. When he came back this year and took a look at my KTM, he sat down and told me his stories. He is convinced the best riders/riding is over there. I chuckled at his statement, until I started watching/researching some of your You Tube videos and man I may have to agree with him. What unbelievable opportunities you guys have over there. BDRs are a joke compared to some of the stuff you guys can get into.
@@hitmanhite8958 I've watched some pretty incredible rides over in the US, but we are also very lucky here 👍 I didn't hear a word back from Rocky Mountain, in regards to testing their luggage. My next big three day trip inland, is the beginning of Feb with 3 other RUclipsrs. I guess I'll run my RhinoWalk panniers again. They still do the job 🙂
Is there a new version of the highland X2? I just ordered it and some of it arrived today and the side bags look different than the ones in the video. Instead of the tusk logo being where it is in the video, the bags I received, it’s at the bottom of the bag. Also what are the two 12.5L badmgs for?
To clarify, the medium tail bag comes with the separate tent pole bag and the small utility bag, where the larger tail bag does NOT come with those two separate bags? Is this correct?
Does anyone have a comparison with the Mosko 80l system? I dont actually know if the capacity is the same, just wondering if one has better useability, fitment etc. The Tusk is way more affordable.
How will this system work on a 2015 KLR 650? I have a son with special needs who loves to ride but I need some back support for him. Will this also work as a back rest? It looks good
Since it attaches to the bike by multiple straps, it is going to fit just about any motorcycle. Regarding the backrest, if you add the medium duffle bag, it could provide *some* support, although I'm not sure that I would rely on it with a special needs child, without at least making some custom changes to it.
I have the Tusk Excursion 40L and I don't like it. Trying to stuff a loaded dry bag is tedious, no wriggle room. Even here you can see that at 6:10, he had to do a video edit/cut. The next shot shows him with the dry bag already stuffed and him pretending to push it in. It is a deal breaker for me.
Just ordered mine for my DR650, I'm taking my racks off....... racks + hardware and my panniers weigh just over 43 pounds empty. I'll have less weight with these fully loaded with all my camping gear.
Tusk makes the Traverse bags that are smaller and fit great on most dirt bikes. You can check those out here: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tusk-traverse-pannier-bags-p
@@bjwilliams6115 Correction! Yes, it is supposed to be available to buy separately, and yes it will fit the original Highland. Sorry for the mistake. I will make sure it is showing on the web by the end of the week! - Justin
A molle stick is what is used to attach bags together that use molle webbing. You can check out the molle stick here: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tusk-molle-sticks-p
They attach to the bike by 3 straps to the rear rack and 1 strap that goes from each side luggage piece to any point in the bike that is near your rearsets (for a total of 5 straps), so the installation is super easy. The only part that is a bit of a pain is to initially screw the side luggage pieces to the center piece, but that is a one-and-done type of deal.
You guys have definitely looked at Mosko Motos Reckless system!!!!
As they should have.
Fine with me! The mosko system is highway robbery.
I don't have an ADV motorbike yet, but when I do, I'll be grabbing this luggage system. Epic! 💪🔥
Of course they would come out with a larger version literally after I bought the smaller version!!!!!

I want to get this for my 690 enduro. How well can this system pull double duty on a 1250 GSA that has racks installed?
How to take off alll quickly from bike?

Do something to allow us to buy it from europe
Do you think I can still carry a passenger with these bags?
Went to website to purchase. Tiger 900 GT Pro is not listed in drop down menu. Hmmm...
To clarify, the medium tail bag comes with the separate tent pole bag and the small utility bag, where the larger tail bag does NOT come with those two separate bags? Is this correct?
I have a Yamaha Tenere 700 with a high mount exhaust modification. Should I choose the Normal or KTM/Husky heat shied option?

The website says this system with the bottles and medium bag is a but over 80L
Nice size and options
Would they be too big on a Honda 300L?

Can you tell me what type of bracket you are using to mount the auxiliary lights to the hand guards?
Will it fit a 2007 r1200gs not adventure

I like the way this system looks. I have pannier racks already but would these still work for me? I ride a DR 650.

I just bought this for my Dr650 👌🏼
Are they better overall than he Mosko Reckless 80 system?!
Definitely cheaper
Better, probably not, but tusk doesn't make junk either.
Definitely not. But they're also about half the price. I would go for the Mosko bags if you can swing it.
Can you tell us how much the setup weighs empty?
Around 13-16 lbs. depending on specific bag configuration.
Will this system fit a 2024 KTM 790 ADV?
Yep! The rackless system allows you to fit this luggage to almost any bike. We have some on our 790/890s right now
I didn’t here any mention of how to secure the side bag on the exhaust side of a motorcycle? I have a Honda CRF300L with a top rack. Thanks
We have an installation video you can check out here: ruclips.net/video/LEQUC2hWMv8/видео.html
The side luggage piece attaches with a single strap to any point on the bike that is near your rearsets.
Did you end up getting them ? I have 300L and not sure if these fit or are too big for the bike
@@TheZakkmylde I never did get them. Got a bag for my top rack which is sufficient for me most of the time.
Any way to facilitate a top box?
I wish they made smaller saddlebags like these for dirt bikes.

Very cool!
can you put this on top of a rotopax on the rear rack?
Yes, absolutely.
Fit well on a Wr250r?
Its definitely going to fit on pretty much any ADV bike.
Hey Daniel, did you end up getting this luggage set up? If so, how was the fit on your wr250r?
@Nolan Brudi I did not. I went with a tusk pannier rack, and the kriega os32 bags. I really like it.
@@daniellindstrom9002 awesome, thanks for the reply!
Can you buy the utility bag separate for those of us with gen 1?
@@rmatvmc that stinks… not upgrading for the bag but that would be awesome to add to my system. I would reconsider that personally

What heat shield configuration do I need for a 1090, website wont spec it.
They have two types of heat shield: one for the KTM 690/Husky 701, and one that is universal for all other bikes.
