My husband and I are in SoCal (Ventura area) and looking at either Sebastapol or Fredericksburg. Why are you leaving Cali wine country for Texas wine country? (if you don't mind my asking....)
I was there in July of 2023- 100F plus. I usually come down from Abilene once a year. Climb the rock- eat at Mamacitas, and hit HEB for some beer and sushi to take back to the hotel.
Sounds like you’ve got the perfect Fredericksburg routine down! Mamacitas and a climb up the rock are hard to beat. And hey, grabbing some beer and sushi from HEB is a solid move! Hope you get to make that yearly trip again soon!

The theater closed down. We used to live to go but it was always pretty empty. So it closed. I loved it. Now you have to go to Kerrville.
