That was a great video to watch with my coffee in the morning as it's snowing out and we have 4 foot of ice on the lakes. I can't wait to get out in the fields..
Thanks for the trip, Zach! It is fun to see what the other guy is running with. I did notice the skip in the video, when you asked Randy about no-tilling!! LOL!! The running joke in our country, "No Til, No Farming"! LOL!!
I am so happy you found your beer. I thought for sure the penguin got it had me worried there for a moment. Randy has some great equipment that is the green ones. LOL, I have tried some blue just not sold on them yet. When you have been raised with green your entire life I guess after 60 years you are spoiled. LOL Great Video!!!
We have 2 s690’s that we were running in the Illinois mud this year. One has camoplast tracks and the other has the ati high idlers. It’s a total night and day difference. The high ati tracked machine got buried to the frame and the other pulled directly in front of it and pulled it out no problem. The only bad thing is the camoplasts top out at 14 mph

Awesome Video, Really Awesome Shop. I am feeling some real farmer envy. Don't get me wrong being an engineer is sweet, but something about working the earth brings some real pride and just rewards!
I'm in awe! Much appreciation and respect but now I'm depressed too lol. That building is incredible. Being able to get all that equipment inside and having a complete workshop and service building like that is such a luxury. There are many comments about the money related to all the machinery but the cost of that building is astronomical too!
We've gradually started planting no till corn. Only better results. Not like 100 bushels to the acre more, but higher yields lower fuel consumption and less time. End-rows can get rough but when you can accomplish what a ripper, finisher and fertilizer spreader can do in one pass at almost 10 miles an hour and add more bushels, it is hard to not use no-till. There may be a year where it fails and completely sucks but we've done it to some degree for 4 to 5 years now and it is actually really good. Will not the save the world though.
Don't rule out minimum or no tillage. It has saved countless tons of top soil, saved thousands of litres of diesel fuel, polluted less and still produced huge crops in western Canada alone over the last 30 plus years. Progressive farming includes conservation tillage. Little out of character for you??
@@brianallam5545 in the eastern part of ND over to where he's at it's not as easy to go No till vs out here just a couple hundred miles west. Out there very few run no till and out here almost no one tills.

It's a family operation that farms around 5,000 acres foe themselves but they also do a ton of custom spraying/spreading and they operate a tiling business also. They also do a lot of mechanic work and are Geringhoff dealers
I love to see American shops like this. Here in the UK it all tends to be smaller buildings and equipment parked where ever there is a space and if space is tight it gets closer and closer. Most tractors are left outside.
