I've just noticed in the Amazon description that the pen doesn't need charging like it does with their other tablets. That's definitely a plus.
Coming back to this video after a year.
After a year, it still feels amazing to use. The only thing that I can tell everyone who is starting out on digital art with this tablet:
Replace the nibs if it feels a bit rough(er) than before. I made a deep scratch with mine because of not replacing it and now I have to buy a new one because my ocd can't take that scratch anymore 😆😆

Hey, did your nib feel a little loose? Mine feels a bit wobbly and I've heard many others complain about it.
@@barneyy6942 Yeah, that's a problem with the Huion pen regardless of the model.

I've been really wanting to get into digital art for a long time now (after 14+ years of traditional art) and wanted a tablet that would good for a novice such as myself. This seems like a good fit. Are there any recommendations as to drawing programs to start out with then work my way up to?
Side note: love the way you colored this piece! So rustic looking and the colors are gorgeous!
Yay! I'm glad I could help! I'd recommend Paint Tool Sai to start out with, it's very user friendly and easy to learn, then if you someday want to try out another program, I'd recommend Adobe Photoshop - it's what I use, and is considered an industry standard for Illustrators, but it's more difficult to learn (it's not too bad though). :D

Does it work with Adobe Illustrator?
I’m kind of confused. Do you have to have a computer or laptop to be able to use it?? Or can you just download the software you’re using right into the tablet?
The tablet is designed to be used with a computer or a laptop, it can't be used on its own. The driver is downloaded onto your computer/laptop, not into the tablet itself. Hope that helps!
Hi, I just bought this tablet. Do you know if it is possible to use it with Keynote or Power Point? I'm a teacher so I want to use it for my classes. Also, which drawing apps are good for beginners ?
I'm not sure about keynote/power point, you may want to test it out yourself. I can recommend you Paint Tool SAI for drawing apps, the menus are not complicated like PS/any other. there's a bunch of the pirated versions that work well, i got mine from yt search!
can someone explain how this works? how do you draw without seeing the picture underneath? I never get this in my head, isnt it difficult to draw while looking on the screen of the laptop?
That's pretty much how you use it yes. Some people have trouble with that at first but normally get used to it after practise. I find it helps to find a way to place the tablet at a slight angle for drawing, for instance placing it on a drawing board and line it up so it's square with the screen. That helps with your hand eye co-ordination.
nimmersattXD If you can use a mouse, you can use a tablet. Same kind of thing. They really are a lot of fun to use once you get used to it😄
Know mouse?, its the same thing as pen tablets, except its a pen and a tablet

does it have the pressure problem?
I haven't had any pen pressure problems with this one, I have heard that some of the other types of tablets have that problem, but I haven't encountered it with this one yet. :)
MissKerrieJ thanks, so the problems with the other one are because this is a very new model from huion, the first units are always defective
