- We rented a new machine shed to store my new Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Bugatti.
Okay, okay... a little dreaming never hurt anyone. We rented a new shed to keep our harvest equipment from sitting out in the weather. Did we make a good decision?

It’s good to see a farm that is kept neat And clean. That means you take pride in your work.
Wait till the ground gets a couple degrees above freezing then spread some seed on top and then harrow or roll it in....no idea if it works but that's what I did with my lawn this fall. It's what I read golf courses do
Cole, everybody must be so thankful for your OCD!!!!!…because of your attention to detail…..your visions are helping keep your farm efficient and productive, plus looking so nice…
In your family everybody seems to have jobs that are productive in keeping the farm a float…you seem to have a vision for the future…. which is so very much needed…I think your entire family is very well balanced and I hope for you a very productive farming future…I enjoy watching the process of farm i
life….💗
“Cooper’s Red Bull Consumption for the week” 👌🏻🤣
Plus your Carpenter did a nice job on your porch. The decking is nice and straight, with consistent gaps.
dont reply to the scammers!
I've been reporting them. But they keep popping up.... Cole can you and the Cornstar team help by warning others?
@@alaeniasharpe8881 good to know others are reporting them too!
@@ADSC2006 That’s why we are ignoring you. Lol
I know in the short term that trees breaking up fields reduces efficiency, but remembering my history classes, in the wake of the dust bowl of the 1930's the Roosevelt administration recommended planting tree lines to slow wind erosion during droughts. Looking at Google earth it seems like removing the windbreaks is common. I am 63 years old, and learned about that in elementary school. Then again they plowed and disked the fields every year. Any thoughts?
With you on that one. Also consider the need for biological breaks between crops to reduce spread of disease (especially when everyone else in the area is growing corn and soybean in huge monocrops).
I will say you are a stickler for neatness and organization...and I like that personally.
Seeing how you and your family take such good care of all your equipment is crazy. It seems like you guys are alway on top of everything and it all looks like it's new. Even your old combine looked way newer than it was.
It's great to have that place to put your harvesting equipment. You guys work so hard to maintain it, it deserves a garage!
Cole you just get better and better! Your knack for spontaneous humor is amazing and so much fun! Coopers ‘Red Bull’ consumption, interrogating the chair, etc.!!! You’re a sweet addition to my day!! I miss Summer and hope she’s doing well..
Wow...your G'pa has to be looking down with so much pride with all you've done on the homestead!!!🙏💕🙏
Congratulations! God bless your family!
Cole, you should be incredibly proud of how great the homestead looks! You've done a great job of cleaning it up and fantastic improvements! Excited for you and Nave!
Nice to see a JCB in this film
These are made a few miles from where I live in the UK. A family member worked at the factory and another family member currently works for the firm promoting their products. Don't know if you are aware but JCB stands for Joseph C Bamford - the initials of the founder of the company.
I really miss that opening, it's a classic.
Showing that frozen ground digger DC and Sable had some cold times with that machine.
Thanks for taking the time to get us a video.
Ron is amazing at his job.
Put some mint oil in the cabs. Mice will stay out.
Cole u are awesome at the videos,God bless the cornstar family, but all I ask is that you tell DC he needs to sing "u picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel"😁
Hey Cole for that spot in your yard you should make a little bit of a rock garden or find a old school tractor and places it there to remember you of your grandpa. Maybe have your brother make a giant Golden corn cop out of mantel
Cole, watch when you go back to hook up to that hopper, remember it's against the wall when you ram the trailer in reverse to make it latch 😆
I expect that the crank for the tarp is going to get bent !
"Cooper's Red Bull consumption for the week"....LOLOLOL🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Great to get things put away tidy for winter. Your home and property is looking great! Its been a long journey to get everything squared away. Congrats!
You're so close to getting all the yard cleaned up. Will you be able to do it before the snow comes ?
You clean up one mess, then begin one yourself! Whats the reasoning behind ditching the barrels in the tall grass? Will they stay there or will they be salvaged?
That whole area is to be scrap, bulldoze buildings and returned to cropping land according to Coles older videos. Basically a holding area until scrap prices rise enough to make it worthwhile for Coppers buddies to come out again.
Those would make good burn barrels here in Pennsylvania
I'm from Pennsylvania and I was thinking the same thing lol.
soil sample analysis for bald spot in the bluegrass? Inquiring minds need to know... Cole you had a bunch of rib-ticklers right off the bat today! Great job
As long as those semi trailers are you probably need to start thinking about which way to turn the day before.
LOL ! Cooper drinks a lot of Red Bull. 🥰
Terrible for your health Energy drinks. Let's hope Copper slows down and stops for his own sake.
Cole don’t make access to your toilet from inside the pantry, put a door entry into it from the outside. It doesn’t sound hygienic. Plus it will give Nave more wall space in the pantry.
Love the clean ups
⬆Troll ⬆
Have you thought about taking a soil sample in your dead patch and see what is going on there so you can fix it.
Cole, in regard to your grass not growing in that one section, is it possible that it is contaminated with herbicide? I think you should send a soil sample to find out what chemicals are in that soil.
⬆⬆⬆SCAMMER⬆⬆⬆ but yes that soil is lacking things.
Why do you think it's chemicals?
I find it very odd that not only the grass seed didn't germinate in this area, but you do not see any. weeds germinating either. Since so much soil was moved around to regrade the lawn, the soil may have come from an area where the sprayer may have been washed/cleaned from herbicide.
Now we see the infamous pit auger the eats belts Cple. Looks lik woodchucks digging in the rented pole shed.
Keep up with the good content
One of my favourite videos! Watching you all work together on the leg bottoms and the Pitt!
Thanks for the efforts!
Do you guys Lock anything out while working on it? Legs, conveyors, augers? Pull keys during oil changes? What do you practice for a lock out tag out procedure. Also what do you do well with your mechanical safety and what could you improve on? Great videos man. Keep up the great work!
Check to see if the dead spot in the grass is where your Septic Tank is, if your tank is rusty and seeping iron into the ground it can cause grass to die
Hey Cole take some of those cans that you threw away cut the tops off and use those for garbage cans and aluminum cans there you go problem solved have a good day sir
Stop trolling
Usually there’s a $20 deposit from the company that delivers them
TAKE your big barrels and PAINT ( soda/gloves) and place outside the shops!!
About time there Cole the CornStar that you began your video with the proper Cole the Cornstar Introduction!! Those trailering decisions tho sure can throw the pony for a loop! Hi Nave! Looking Good today! -Bob...
I've seen dead spots in The Lawns like that before and it's usually where atrazine has been accidentally dumped or spilled
Save those old window for a flower house for Nevas garden don’t waste it. And sheet metal could be use for it also, you should be making A greenhouse near where that old garage was, it quick and easy to make think about it. 😢
The way I was taught was to get the tail in the correct direction down the lane and final corrections are done with the drive tires to bring it in straight. Not the same as a pickup lol. If you watch the rear drive tires you don t over steer and get all out of the box, you want to be in. Hope this helps. Somedays go better than others.
Dude, I dig the agriculturism part of your channel, and all the machinery stuff. But I follow mostly renovation channels and have enjoyed the changes you have made to your properties. The organization of the land, the reno on your house, and the most enjoyable part is when you clean another section of property that has been collecting junk for decades. When you tossed those old rusty barrels in the field with other rusted out junk, where is that, and can we see you turn that into usable acreage?
Those Schaeffer's barrels are the red bull for your equipment!
Ugh winter! But hey that just means shop time!!!
Is all that work that Ron's doing in the field with his bulldozer more than he anticipated ?
Once it's completed that is going to make your work so much easier and productive.
From cleaning the basement to getting the yard cleaned. I've been waiting for this video since the first scrap loads from the grove. Congratulations on accomplishing one of ur goals
Thanks for sharing
I just have to laugh about you and your grass what a battle I do pray for y'all on getting your bin problem sorted out you deserve better for sure
That new shed sounds like my garage. Right now all it stores is a lawn mower and groundhogs.
Man, oh man, that is some pretty soil!
SCAMMER ⬆⬆⬆⬆⬆
Thanks for sharing…
Amazing Cole, simply amazing!! You’ve worked hard on this project for SIX YEARS!! I’m so very proud of you!!
Harvest is over and now the winter prep will be in full swing. Getting everything cleaned, stored, repaired, prepped, and ready for spring planting. It's a never-ending cycle. It's like dishes and laundry, never truly done.
Add vacuuming to your list
It's like paying bills, too. Just when you get the last bill paid for the month, the bills for the next month start arriving.
I drove a semi local delivery for 10 years. You get the trailer axles pointed where you want them then get the front of the trailer lined up. It really doesn't matter what angle your semi tractor is, it's all about getting the trailer when it needs to be. Best way I can explain it.
I have to say that your house is looking pretty spooky with all the trees gone. Kinda like Hitchcocks The Birds or Psycho. Looking forward to some landscaping. So much work.
Cole, I can only image your Grandpa in heaven nudging Jesus and saying "I know your Father is the Ultimate Creator, but look what my grandson did with my old farm house and farm, it is nearly a miracle in its own right. I am so proud of him" Great video, keep them coming. God Bless you all
The difference is, that unlike The Creator, Cole only had a skid steer and dump truck!!
Either that or he’s saying “My darned grandson threw out all my cool stuff!” Haha just kidding
Aaaaaww
agree!!🎉
There's so much to do in the off season.
I'd love to stop by and help run some side projects.
The site is starting to look super clean and organized. Congrats Cole.
God Bless the corn stars !🙏🙏🙏🙏
You could make some of those barrels into garbage cans and put them in areas where things are being thrown on the ground.
You have done a great job cleaning your Grandfather’s homestead up! Must feel really good going into winter with it in such great shape! Nicely done!
The day I’m watching this it’s freezing rain and there talking a blizzard tomorrow with up yo 16 inches of snow
make sure you have some sort of rodent abatement in that new barn. them meeces will just love those truck cabs
Just the trailers are going in there not the truck's
Practice makes perfect when it comes to backing semi's Cole. The mark of a true professional is taking the time to do it right, not rushing and hitting everything. Which is definitely easier said than done some days, especially when backing inside a building where you really can't see what's going on. Looks like you did a fine job navigating that tight space.
Yessir, I can back a rattle snake up a bull frogs a$$
LED backup lights at the REAR of the trailer are your best friends when backing into a dark building.
@@swamprat69er I put some 4” LED lights under my bumper on my F250. I mounted them discreetly, but have them wired into my reverse lights. You’re absolutely right! They provide AMPLE amounts of illumination
Awesome video kind sir keep them coming
That barn might work out good to store the trailers and stuff in but you just drive through half the field in order to get it in there so what’s going to happen when you have a different field ready and that one that’s around the barn isn’t close to ready but you need those trailers out? Hopefully your getting some more driveway around available in front of that building so that you can get stuff out
Just a Blessing!
Put that need le on the stove burner for 30 seconds you know for sterilization before removing a splinter
For slivers in the hand I personally love the nail clipper trick. It works pretty good and only takes a little bit of skin off.
That shed is a beaut. Shame there's not just bit more love given to it. Oh well.
That definitely looks like a woodchuck burrow in the rented shed.
I love backing up a semi. So much easier than on the ball. But I did it for a few years and I can also back up doubles
Your farm it looking great there Cole
Great video today, thanks for always entertaining and educating us. 👍
So instead of picking up all of the trash, we just point it out 😂😂😂😂. So funny great video thanks for sharing.
The new machinery storage unit needs LIGHTS. I enjoyed watching the video, big thumbs up. The farm looks fabulous. It will be great once the washes are gone, should be smooth planting and harvesting then. When are you going to start working on the house again
You are an amazing inspirational motivational speaker. Wow, I totally enjoyed this video. Kudos to you.
If you are a framer, talking about the weather is an actual meaningful and important conversation!
Slow is fast, fast is slow when backing. Too much trailer in your right mirror turn the wheel left, too much trailer in your left mirror turn the wheel right.
make some of the barrels you hauled off into trash cans, use the volvo to back in trailers it has a sharper turning on the steer and wont be as hard as that freightliner.
Backing a semi is an art.. I'm still learning everyday there's days I look back and I'm lkke, I can't believe I got it in that spot/ hole.. And... I also have days where I can't back up a wheelbarrow.. It's one of those the more ya do it things... And funny you mentioned it, I go to back my camper and I'm allll over the place lol
I look at you pit when you have it open. I help my neighbors with his was doing the same and we put a wall in the middle of his pit and now it works great. Just and idle all farm are different. Just trying to help.
I drove from Chicago to Lincoln, Nebraska many, many years ago on I-80. After watching the last 2 videos, I realize you live in that hilly part of Iowa that really sucked driving on I-80! But when you're in the cab of a tractor at 4.2 mph, I guess you don't notice it. BTW, northern Illinois is much flatter.
When your "planned" six year (seven?) cleanup culminates you should have a "thank god" party, with barbecue, mariachi band, dancing and a pat on the back contest.,
The footage of Cooper IN the pit was cool!! 😎 How deep is it to ground level??
Great job!
Awesome!
Nicely parked Cole👍!!
Thank you for sharing Cole
Nice score on a place to park equipment in a shed, love the way you are cleaning up around the farm it looks so different with the new bin site and other improvements!
I can always remember I once got told if your covering you pit for over winter put a trailer on top of the mats to stop them blowing away in the wind and filling the pit up with water and snow
Look at all that yard/ farm space for activities!
I understand the concept and reasoning behind installing tile, but isn’t ironic that you speak of removing moisture at the same time you are concerned about the lack of rain. 😊😳
Cole, you shuffled the drums from Point A to Point B. It's a bit like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Or, is this your cunning plan to find those drums again at some unspecified time in the future and reshuffle them to Point C?!
Just hook up the semi tractor just to drive around the block to than back the trailer up just to do it over and over and over again until your OK with backing up
Just a pleasure to check in with this spot. I love aviation but this Cornstar thing really grows on ya. Thanks ! 😎
Good evening Cole and family, have a good night.
SCAMMER ⬆⬆⬆⬆⬆
I just see a easy way to help fix ur pit on how it over loads the center auger and burn the belt off the V on top of what I would call ur tank auger u need to make the gap smaller so it will slow down the flow there is very simple way to do it or u could get complex and use the design like a kinze grain cart where its adjustable with a hydraulic cylinder
Picking up and cleaning, it never ends!
