battery development is really the only thing holding this technology back.need a super powerful and long lasting battery for this to become mainstream
When we finally get that battery, all this crap will be obsolete.
@@elstevobevo Think Hydrogen.
@@dy2cakc1 I like hydrogen mo bettuh. It has storage issues, but at least it’s feasible. Jet fuel is still the best.
@@dy2cakc1 this. Forget batteries
20 mins for $92,000 is a rip-off.
Just imagine if the Wright brothers could see this. Absolutely amazing & beautiful. Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you!
@@Jetsonaero Once batteries become more efficient so the distance/flight time is longer I will definitely order one. Still though this is amazing.
@@coreyhardwick4660 Yes, there is definitely a room for improvements in a battery department
@@Jetsonaero Believe me, I know. I work for Panasonic Energy of North America, inside the Tesla Gigafactory. We make a lot of batteries xD

Looks great. What is its range and top speed? What if there’s a problem with one of the motors, does it have a parachute for emergencies?
If this had a battery that could allow a 20-25 mile flight distance and a price of about $30,000. It would sell like hot cakes. This is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.
92000 for 20min flight time lol
@@bigboomer8739 Lol. More than likely that’s what it’ll end up being.
Professional commercial drones used for police operations or the film industry that are slightly bigger than the DJI phantom are about 30k. I would think you might be a little off. I would think just parts for this machine would be close to 100k
@@Soh90 you can buy now

The "I want one" impulse is very strong in me.
No doubt eh lol me to
It’s only $92,000 usd for a kit you assemble, and up to 20 minutes of flight at a time.

Amen
Type in drone crashes on utube first that’s what got me out of buying those paragliders
you give us so much pleasure. looking at the progress.
I used to marvel at the Williams xjet, and wonder if innovation like that was all run out, but seeing the growth of this industry over the last few years.... It is like a child's wish fulfilment. Fantastic work!
Big fan of the Xjet here!
You have come along way I see. Well done!👍🏼
this thing is marvelous. I cant wait to be in its presence
Awesome! Best of luck with it!
You guys are the architects of the future!
Excellent, you guys and lilium show a lot of promise.
Great job, Tomasz! Keep up the good work.
Do get the lights set-up fixed when you go for the aviation certification ;)
White in the back, red on the left, green on the right. The (cool) white front array can stay as landing lights 👍🏻
Thanks Jan!
This looks like a winner!
No, it is not for everyone, but then again no product is that. What matters is that enough want one of these to sustain your business model and that does seem to be the case here based on you maxing out your sales orders into 2023.
That said, staying ahead of the competition might be the next biggest challenge.
I’m going to make this video go viral this thing deserves attention it’s amazing!!!!

Yes, where is the deployable parachute? Ooh or does it have full on ejection seats?? (: okay, one more. Do you make a submersible or jet ski model yet? Right, one world’s first project at a time. My bad! Y’all are incredible!
I love all these polished video's that don't show the incredible noise and other issues caused by these.... like how they perform in weather conditions, safety , battery development
Amazing feats of engineering and production, and brilliant toys,.. the future of these is exciting as hell.. but i don't like the polished sales pitch in these newer videos that show a fully formed completed product
I think it will be famous
I hope those motors have serviceable thrust bearings. And there's a ballistic parachute I hope.
In all the videos I've seen no one is flying more then 20 feet off the ground..I'm curious why..
I am ready to buy . Have $92 , just need 3 more zeros !
I think a perfect use for this would be for firefighters, maybe you could put some water tanks or fire extinguishers on it, so firefighters could extinguish a fire with it, also, it's perfect for them, because they could reach a fire quicker
This thing can only carry a payload of about 200 lbs. so a fully outfitted firefighter would be well over 200 lbs as most grown men soaking wet would bust the scales for this vehicle then you add in firefighter outfit and water at 8 lbs. a gallon this thing isn't budging at all, but anyway I like the way you think.
is it using betaflight, INAV, ?? can you fly it in acro mode?
Analytics!
Self leveling all terrain landing gear, maybe prop guards of some sort. Longer fly time.
That’s one big ass drone😂❤️
It still tested
there should be some secured case on the blades so dangerous if it passed any living thing
Jakie parametry osiągneliście w tym prototypie? Czy jest to już iteracja produkcyjna?
Jest to seria przedprodukcyjna. Kilka drobnych poprawek, setki godzin testow i ruszamy z produkcja
Can I have a prototype, Ile put hella miles on it , then I don't have to build my own , future goal of mine in the works
How long is the flying time???
One question?? does it have the flip button like Drones do?😁😁😎
What’s the battery life? Would be great for search and rescue on the river.
Hi. How much cost to build it?
1!
This is for me
I can see how a liquid piston genset in conjunction with the 5 minute battery would make this a highly profficient flying machine for a pilotin weighing less than 150 lbs. Absolutely no higher pilot weight would be allowed with a 50 lb genset addition in fact a pilot weigh in would be required upon sell-in process. A 3lb carbon fiber shell would also be beneficial & if the aluminum framework was reduced by 50 lbs a pilot weight of 180 lbs would suffice.
Não há algum modo que ele gere própria energia ?
What is the sound of the engine ?
This is the second video from you with music and the vehicle flying that has come up in my feed. While nice to see, it is not what I want to watch. I want a guide through the technology, step by step, from an engaging professional, rather than a sales tech who tells me about how this will change x, y, or z in the world. As a pilot, I want the nuts and bolts. Is there such a video for me and my interest?
No, I've searched. From what I understand they're trying to mask the twenty odd minutes of battery life and ear shredding sound of the high output brushless motors
@@MatMabee it's not that loud, you can hear it in their older videos, i also wonder why people keep complain about sound, you can't fly silently, airplanes and helicopters are loud too, especially a helicopter.. this electrical thing is way quieter than a heli, thanks to electric motors and smaller size of propellers
I'd park this in a field full of zombies for sure! 🤣
Maybe tilted rotors in the future for horizontal translation ?
We are already working on improvements
Nice bit of CGI ... I'm guessing Unreal Engine?
+++
Could you imagine this being a rescue vehicle drive it to a person then drive them out.
How do you increase the flight time and payload?
I was thinking about this as well. With a max weight of 90kg the only option is for the pilot to loose weight in exchange for batteries 😬
The second generation hopefully have slightly more powerful engines.
Oooh an 8 bladed guillotine! Lol
FFS don't step out without those blades stopping..
Or become a red cloud

How high doest go up
I’m fit at 6 ft ) inches and weigh 240. Anything for us?
All I know is. I WANT. I NEED. I want to pretend to be Harry Potter on my broom
Please....I want one....can i get the first one manufactured???
I want one. What about crash testing?
Future Vehicle?!
How high can it fly
This is the closest to a Star Wars speeder bike right here and now... where can I buy one?
Kinda strange the videos to the Jetsen never has its sound as it flies, always music. Would love to hear it.
Check their older videos, few examples with sounds there are, without music. To me it sounds nice, way quieter than a helicopter, so people should not really complain about this flying thing is being noisy :) can't fly without any sound i guess, even jetpack screams loud.
Hopefully these are very expensive or the idiots will be crashing them right and left ala Halladay. Very cool though and Best Wishes for your future!!! I def want to watch one fly live.
slap a low weight high power motor cycle engine into it with a dynamo to convert the power from the engine into electricity and you will not need to worry about range issues. and if you put a ballistic parachute on it that will massively increase its appeal.
More weight = More Power Requirements = Less Agile = Less Range
It's max power output is 88KW (120HP) It would be way too heavy to get anywhere near that kind of power.
@@dawnphantom2439 not necessarily the larger power requirements would be taken care of due to the fact that they could afford putting larger more powerful motors due to the massively increased power density of oil compared to batteries their for negating the range issue and in fact doubling or tripling the range and increasing the speed, and the more powerful motors that would be attached would negate the lack of mobility caused by the extra weight of the engine. the only down side of installing a hybrid electric system would be that it would be slightly larger and 200kg heavier and would be 40k to 60k more expensive.
@@simonhanlon7518 I have found engines that weigh 132 pounds and put out 152 kilowatts at peak so I don't know about the idea of their not being a engine powerful enough to power the motors on it.
@@milespennington5255 which engine ??
Making some windshield .
Which motors and battery packs used?
Both custom manufactured
@@Jetsonaero oh, I got it, thanks. But I'm wondering what type of lithium ion or polymer batteries are used. I'm thinking about building something like this
what a price?
This quad copter is interesting but it only seems like a remote control with no human pilot in the air craft. In my line of thinking is why is this so special, this also could be nothing more then a CGI demonstration of what they are hoping the air craft will work.
Its flight testing before a human pilots takes over from inside the vehicle. Subsequent videos are now with a pilot.
Pretty nifty. 20 mins of flight time and high decibel output are still pretty big hurdles.
Could do island hoping around the shetlands probably, but would need 4 hours of range to get to Scotland.
Damn, max weight 210. Looks like I'm gunna have to go back on keto for awhile...::)
How much?
How much??
What happens to humans standing to close when it lands? Cut to pieces? This thing needs some blade protection.
Personally, I think it's a better idea to have feet more spread out, like a helicopter.
In aviation altitude is safety.
Get high fast and pack a chute.
All it's missing is a mini-gun and a couple of hellfire missiles
hit me with the safety procedures incase something bad happens trust me you dont wanna be shredded by the blades and the price
With significant improvements in range and weight capacity, I could see the military being extremely interested in something like this. Send a military cargo aircraft into an engagement zone, drop a dozen or so personal VTOL aircraft piloted by Special Forces and they'd be able to drop in on an enemy position at high speed and able to land virtually anywhere needed for the mission. Armed with light weight weaponry they could act as light attack helicopters.
A swarm of small attack helicopters. Crazy.
Helluva lot of fun for civilian uses too of course...
Too noisy
@@infinit12
Future tense. I did say with "significant improvements". A swarm of small, fast, highly mobile platforms capable of delivering both weapons payloads and highly skilled warfighters to the battlefield? No brainer. They'd overrun any unprepared force on the ground.
Excellent..but it must be incredibly loud
not as much as you think, check their older videos, can find some non-music examples there
When do you move beyond computer simulations to a real world prototype?
Agreed 100%.... Soooo many things wrong with these 'real' videos (which are admittedly very well done), but ppl are in denial... ;)
I WILL say one thing though - I now know that the stalk I mentioned seemed to be missing in shots, is obviously a 360 degree camera (the type that hides the actual stick from view), so I realise that this is why I couldn't see the mount in flight - so I admit that this at least, isn't a sure sign that this is fake.... :)
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow I want one but I'm poor 😢
Use your words.
I've flown powered paraglider which are extremely fun ,and fairly safe. The nice thing about them is you are already under a safety net as soon as you take flight (wing). In a engine out situation just like most aircraft you can glide down to safety. Gyrocopters and even helicopter have this capability as well. While the quad style prop design is very stable plus the counter props of this machine should make flight very easy for most people. You are still screwed if you have a engine out ,or prop strike. I suppose it could have a safety chute built in ,but I imagine this thing will be flown under a couple hundred feet (altitude is safety). Depending how they have this license there will be limitations to who will be able to fly this thing. Its cool ,but thankfully it wont be adopted into the public like quads and dirt bikes. Let's face it most people can't drive and that includes people with deep pockets. I'm all for the FAA regulating this thing like any other small aircraft.
In my opinion that's why it's actually a pentacopter with 8 engines - in case of one engine failure the opposing one goes to full emergency power and lets you land safely. It all depends of the operating altitude of this thing, I think it's too low for a safety parachute, but low enough for a quick landing, more likely automated. The possibility of failure of both engines at once on one arm is almost impossible with modern technology - the same concept lets you fly in only twin-engined aircrafts on long transatlantic or transpacific routes. Of course in case of an mid-air obstacle collision and critical engine loss (like literally...) you're obviously screwed... ;) And no glidin' nor autorotatin' in this baby!
