I am proof of this! last year on my yearly physical my blood sugar spiked to pre-diabetic levels. Ever since then after making a few changes in what I eat, and incorporating 30 minutes daily walks; my blood sugar levels had remained steady in the 80's!! so yes, walking does stabilize your blood sugar levels.
I appreciate that the goal in this is metabolic health versus looking a certain way. We have to feel good on the inside first and then our outside is an outward symbol of the good we are doing to the inside. ❤️
I can first hand confirm, 20-30 mins brisk walk immediately after meals, keeps me off metformin (med for type 2-diabetics). Ofc with the help of other life style changes ie diet changes, zero alcohol and zero sugary, junk foods at wrong time of day.
Awesome video brother, really appreciate the guidance here & an underrated topic for sure. Big impact - another study showed 10 minutes of walking after a big meal had greater benefit for insulin resistance than 30 minutes of walking a few hours after a big meal
Very interesting. At this time of the year in the Northern Hemisphere when its cold and wet outside, I presume an acceptable substitute would be 10 -15 minutes gently pedaling on a cycling machine? As for a "brisk" walk" at other times, surely that is unwise given that digestion places a considerable burden on the body's resources? A might be less stressful and prevent incomplete digestion and indigestion? "A brisk walk within 30 minutes of eating" I take to mean to walk no more than 30 minutes after a meal , to leave no room for doubt.

Oh that's encouraging! And great job working on your health!
Appreciate you brother
I've tried to incorporate post-meal walking daily and it's been a great mood and weight stabilizer.

Do you have IG?
I’m walking a mile inside my house 🏡 after eating 🥣 dinner instead of watching Netflix or sitters on the couch 🛋️
Great point - no excuses - one could just run in place inside the house

Absolutely 3 ten minute walks done throughout the day showed to be more beneficial then one 30 min walk at the end of the day.
Loved your clear information about benefits of walking. Precisely what I needed. Thank you
Really enjoy these short informational videos. Your son is adorable ☺️
Never seen this channel before, but glad i did now
best video on the subject!
The worst thing to do after a meal is to sleep 🛌 since that is really bad for your physical and mental health.
Very well explained. Thank you.
I’m walking a mile inside the house after eating 🍽 lunch 🥗. I also walk more outside.
Cool. Good to know. I'm going to incorporate this into my daily routine. Thanks!
Informative thank you 😊
In the winter when it’s dark early, could low impact indoor cycling bring similar results after dinner?
Excellent video!
Very inspiring and informative, thank you.
I walked after a heavy meal (15 minutes), and my blood sugar dropped to 68. When I sat down afterwards it went back up. Is that normal?
Thank you for this simple reminder 😊
Great information to easily help keep that blood sugar under control.
Thanks, Austin!
Is walking in place as effective as the walking?
I would think any movement you can do is beneficial
Glad I found this ❤
I am a premeal Walker bc of feeling of endurance. Maybe pre and post?
