The song at the end is known under various names, including Bratja/Brothers, and it's in Russian language. There is on youtube an English version sung by Vic Mignogna (Edward's English voice actor). Pinako's (Winry's granny) greeting to Mustang was rude, but shortly later the episode explained that State Alchemist are known as "dogs of the military" due to sometimes being tasked in using force, and they were also dispatched to the conflict where Winry's parents died.
The story is going to get darker, a LOT darker. And the whole speech in the end of the episode about only having each other is going to be crucial in their mind set moving forward.
If it's not too late, I would highly recommend watching this with the original Japanese audio and the English subtitles. Whilst I do agree with the popular opinion that the English voice acting is great, they made quite a lot of translation errors; some trivial but some crucial. Some of these wrong translation was deliberately made because the Iraq war was going on when this show was aired. You won't be able to fully understand some of the crucial plot points and the social commentary behind them with the English dubbed version, unfortunately.
Really? I had no idea about it. I watched the Italian version back in the day, I don't know whether it has got similar changes like the English version (iirc, sometimes Italy buys american versions of animes, maybe because they are easier to translate, although the double adaptation may cause more differences from the original). I would ask you what such changes are, but unfortunately that would be a spoiler for her...
The dub with the added elements of the Iraq war made it great, Drop the elitism. Barely if anything is really impacted by the sub vs dub difference in 03
@@deen4305 I don't know why you guys call this elitism when I praised how good the English voice acting is, and what do you mean 'added elements'? They clearly chose to water down a lot of important lines regarding the war, religion, and Ed's atheism(this is probably because Vic Mignogna is a VERY VERY religious man).
Someone reacting to FMA2003? Really? That's great! This show deserves more love...

This episode aways hits deep. Beautifully sad

Don’t start that sub elitism thing again.
@@StarrPower2232 That's not what I mean at all.
