I’ve watched your videos for a couple years now. I finally have the equipment required for a comfortable overnight. My home lake has solid black ice this year, and a handful of walleye. I’m looking to get out for an overnight next week, hoping to catch my first walleye through the ice. I really appreciate your fishing tips, since our ice season is short, and I only get out 10-15 times a year.

You gotta just LOVE fishing to do all this and put all of em back.
I'm a smallie junkie during the non-frozen times and I always release those, but I am not about to deal with all that cold unless I'm getting some prime filets from it.
Walleye and perch are darn good eating, I wish there were more opportunities to catch them where I live.
I eat the heck out of bluegill and crappie tho. Bluegill from under the ice is some of the best fish ever!
