Your tutorials like this are so incredibly helpful Susan. You’re such a good teacher and your tutorials are so informative. I’ve learnt so much from you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us x
I'm so happy to find someone who can explain the techniques in an understanding way. You are such an incredible instructor. I have learned so much from watching your vedios, I'm a beginner at pastels
Hello Artist Susan, as always, a very informative tutorial for beginners ( somehow I feel I will always be a beginner) . Very valuable tutorial and learned a lot. thanks and lots of love.
This video is criminally underrated. Can't overstate the amount of expertise you exhibit and wisdom you share on this subject matter. Thank you so much!
I generally use acrylics , taken it up after retirement. But your tips are equally applicable to acrylics . I know for certain as i had figured out some of them after much trial and error . Most informative video i have watched
I'm not a beginner by any means but I have never gotten the hang of landscapes (edit: I guess I should say seascapes!). These studies seem like a great way to ease myself into it. Thank you for the wealth of information that you continue to share!
This was sooo helpful! I am new to your channel and new to pastels. I love your very clear instructions as it gives me some things to try on a small scale that seem doable. I also love that you share your love of Jesus. It warms my heart.🥰. Thank you!
Bless you! I appreciate that so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the lesson. If you're wanting to learn some more, check out my Patreon page! patreon.com/SusanJenkins Thanks so much for your sweet comment!
I started practicing on tiny surfaces to kind of get used to painting again. I started copying some of your paintings; even twice some. At the beginning I was not happy with the results; now I feel more confident and even please with what I have been doing. I felt in love with underpainting. Still a long way to go; but I am getting there. Thank you so much.
Thank you Susan Starting a new anything can be a challenge. However when a person has the desire to create art you make it seem possible. I mostly feel as though I will never get out of the “ Crayon “zone. Your video lessons makes me feel like jumping into the deep end of the pool and going for it !!! Thank you for sharing. It’s a true gift !

Water is my Kryptonite lol. So I appreciate any tips I can get. I can do oceans ok.. but I have a very hard time getting fresh water color down.. I try not to make it look blue because often times freshwater is more of a dark green or almost brownish but that makes it tough to stand out from the landscape sometimes! I have quite the time with that

What is that blending tool at minute 22:33? I wish you had showed a closeup.
That was a shammy cloth (the kind used to dry cars). I find a little piece is a great blending tool for smooth surfaces. :)
💓👍👀 2/24/22
How do you do this with a paint brush?
