Yes!!! Holden loves doing his own thing after he's had his fun following me around! But the minute I start having a panic attack or even show any signs of such, he immediately runs over, and licks me until it's over 🥺💫 on the flip side, he's very territorial of his area (doesn't like me rearranging his stuff), and possessive over me (doesn't like me sharing affection with our dog and other family members or friends, and bosses her around), for whatever reason, and gets very angry when I leave him with a friend to take care of him over a vacation week 🤔 but other than that, you're so right, they can be very empathetic (and emotional in general 😂)

When I left on a 10 day trip, I left my bun a piece of me. I cut some of my hair and wrapped it into a ball with one of my t shirts. My husband said while I was gone, my bunny played with it and carried it around by her mouth. She never did these things before. And when I arrived back home she licked my face for the very first time. They absolutely do miss you!

3:15 -3:25 "awwww." My bunny can be in the same room & still absolutely miss me. I've been going through a funk lately bc im tired of chasing jobs & putting in so much physical labor & sometimes never really feeling appreciated enough. That prob sounds weh but I should prob just start trying to chase a career instead... anywho, I spend so much time w/ my new bunny, im gonna hate leaving him. He sleeps in a cage beside us but he must get up earlier than me. Sometimes I'll let him sleep in the bed tho. Anywho, when I first get up, my immediate thought goes to him. I call for him & he immediately props up, standing, waiting for me to pick up his bb self. In the beginning, he'd walk upstairs just to get to me in the morning. He's given us a couple of mini heart attacks. Good thing about him u can always hear him playing around (the floors aren't carpeted upstairs) & he actually answers when I call for him. Well, it might take a while sometimes. Bc I suppose he's taking his random baby naps somewhere he easily hides himself in sometimes too. Other times he's just out in the wide open, just small, but blends in w/ alotta stuff.

I left for vacation for about two weeks and left Strider in care of my fiancé who's lived with and cared for Strider almost his whole life. But while I was gone he seemed super distressed. Espessially since his bird companion had recently passed away and then I was gone. He had slowly stopped eating as much and when I got back I had to immediately care for his GI Stasis. The vet definitely agreed that is was due to stress of the recent changes in his life added to the fact that I was gone for the longest time he's experienced. He is luckily fine and now has a bunny companion to hopefully help him when I do eventually need to leave again.

I am a teacher and I bring my bunnies to work with me everyday. They definitely remember certain people. One time my bunnies were socializing with about 15 to 20 random kids. They will specifically hop over first to the kids who were in my class. I had 21 kids! I wonder how many faces/people rabbits can remember. I would say it is quite a few! My bunnies get to hang out in their xpen and free roam at work, and as a result they are very well socialized. The kids give them their morning salad, so both of my bunnies will take food out of hands.

One time, I had to leave my bunny for three weeks for a trip and left him in the care of my family. When I got home from a long trip of flights, I was excited to see him but he completely ran past me and ignored me. I was so devastated.
After I showered, he suddenly came sprinting up to me and started cuddling me. For two days, he refused to leave my side. He stuck to me like glue no matter where I went. I think the overwhelming scents of other people from the airport and my flights may have made it hard for him to recognize me at first. I was so relieved when he was back to his cuddly self around me. I missed him so much.

After watching your channel for 4 years, my parents finally let me get a baby bunny! I got her on the 14th of July. She is a 3 month old seal Holland Lop named Alora, which means dream! Thank you so much Lorelei for creating amazing content that educates people around the world on proper bunny care! She is currently in a dog x-pen but I would like to free-roam her when I am in the room. I can't free-roam her permanently as I share a room with my sister.
Whenever I enter the room, even after only being with her for 11 days, she runs to the bars of her x-pen, and stands as high as she can to get as close to me as possible!
In the near future I would love to see a rabbit room/x-pen/free roam design idea video, where you basically select rabbit area design ideas and go through them, (maybe even good subscriber rabitats) and share them with us! Sort of like reacting to my subscribers rabitats, but instead, purely for rabitat inspirations! I would also love to see an updated video more on their diet and especially the food transition stage at 6 months.
Thank you Lennon for the name of the channel and all of the cuteness! Thank you Lorelei for all you've done and will continue to do for rabbits!

This brought back some memories. Sadly my bunnies are not around anymore, but I can confirm the thing about bunnies prefering routines and changing behaviour, when their owners are gone for a while.
My two rabbits were free roaming in my room/apartment with my room being their safe haven. It's not a big apartment and I share it with another person, so during the day they'd usually have access to the other rooms (unless no human was present). I was staying at home a lot so we were basically around each other 24/7. At 9am my male bunny would always wake me up, either with his zoomies or by pressing his nose against my cheek or sometimes even digging my pillow. Then they'd get breakfast and afterwards morning cuddles. Of course there were plenty more cuddle and petting sessions throughout the day. I also taught them tricks, they were so amazing. ;_; In the evening they'd get dinner obviously and at night time I'd clean the litter boxes and fall asleep to the sound of them munching fresh hay.
My bunnies did warm up to my flat mate, but while I was gone for a week she reported to me that they were retreating in their hidey houses more than usual and seemed to be in a bad mood. However, the moment I came back home and opened the door to my room, they were already waiting right behind and were so excited, they were circling my legs and bustling around me so that I almost tripped. I'll never forget. ❤
    Rabbits are such amazing, underestimated pets. Spend lots of time with them, they'll make you happy! ;_;

I have a very spoiled bunny, Susie ( Black-Eyed-Susan). She was traumatized at a young age, when she rejected her young she was held down so her surviving young could nurse. Susie lived in a large cage for 10 months. When I brought her home I had the cage open but she didn't want to come out so a few hours had passed. I took her out and told her she had a lot of room to roam & was living in there, her cage is her littter & nesting area for when she feels the urge. Boy does love her plain cheerios 4x a day. I tell the time by her begs, same times every day. I fell in love with Lennon, quite the spoiled character. I love your videos, Hugs & much love to you both.

I had to board my guinea pig for almost three years, and the second she heard my voice she was so excited! Once we got home (to a new apt, one she'd never been in) she ran up and started doing the tricks I taught her- 3 years ago! So yeah, they are smart and they love you! Oh, I had to leave my Teddy Bear hamster for 4 months and when he heard my voice he charged out of his orange-juice carton and was jumping up and down like a madman! I'm sorry you have to be seperated but they will def remember you!

@@lazyhomebody1356 this is so reassuring, thank you for sharing! I’m so happy your animals remembered you, especially your guinea pigs after 3 whole years! That must have been so emotional! I know I’ll miss the bunnies so much but it helps a ton to know they’ll be with people who they’re already fairly used to seeing. They’ve been under my parents’ care for shorter trips before and I know they’ll do a great job. It’ll be such a relief to see them again when I get back.

Little guy Oreo, totally missed us when we went to Miami, but he is very well taken care of. I had a house sitter for him that in the he got soo used to him that in the morning he went to check on him and was disappointed he left.
But when we got home he spent a looooong time of my lap being melted in pets.

First, I love your channel. I have learned so much about our new bun since watching your videos. Today is the 1st day we are all away from our bun for a long time and I have been watching her like crazy on the camera. She has been sleep most of the day, however, my son just arrived home and (she is technically not his) when she heard him in the house she came out of her house and stood up on her hind legs. It was the cutest thing. As if she was saying, I miss you. It melted my heart.

Thank you for another awesome video Lorelei! ^_^ I think my little guy does miss me, I recently went to Disneyland for a whole day. I woke up early, left his area clean and ready with his hay and water. Although my boyfriend would check on him and I also bought a pet cam so I could see what my bun was up to. When we arrived home around 12 am he was outside of my door waiting for me. He also knows my routine for work, as soon as I arrive around 3 or 5 he is outside of my room waiting for me. He'll do the cutest binkies when he hears me call out to him.

A long story short I was always worried about my guy since i had classes in the morning or later in the day and i would be away for class 4 days out of the week while i eventually started working.. he was always on my mind everywhere i went, (he was awake for a big chunk of the day took naps here and there slept mostly at night with me) driving home i would be so happy to be homee coming to him, after the first 2 -3 years we welcomed home another bunny and we bonded them in a neutral territory and it been less worriesome since then i still would watch them closely day by day. So thankful for the Lorelai and Lennon duo 💜

My bunny is very independent and some days he wants his space and some days he is all over me. I typically just leave him be and have him come to me when he wants to. I've left him at my parents house when I go away for a few days and when I come back he doesn't show any signs that he was sad or was missing me. Maybe it's just the breed he is. However, I can tell he is happy to be back in his home because he starts to run and jump.

Rabbits are individuals, some are more independent and less affectionate than others. Take time to bond with them! One of my girls literally leapt over the gate that blocks her room and into my arms when I came home after being away overnight. It was so sweet!
A friend and I also tried calling one of my rabbits. We were both squatting next to each other at a distance from her as we called her. She came over to me without hesitation. Never underestimate a rabbit’s awareness and intelligence!

When covid slowed down i went from online class to going to school (which meant going away a few days a week). I gave him a lot of attention and love during online classes (inbetween classes). So when i went away he sat at my fav spot on the couch where i always pet him and he was looking for me and behaved differently (what i heard from my parents).
I will always remember that and i felt like i really had a special bond with him.
After i came home he knew i was coming back every week and didn't show that behaviour again. But when i was back home he knew that and he always looked up excited!
