This is stagged, I can tell. They shaved the rabbit and told their kids what to do. Why else would they publicly humiliate their kids? Money money money and poor abused rabbits.

They said before they got the pet that they were going to do their research before bringing any pet into their home and then they just impulse bought the bunnies (from a bunny rescue actually). They didn’t know that their nails were so sharp or that they weren’t for holding (which is how we know they didn’t do their research). They said they googled it after and it said that you weren’t really supposed to hold them, but they were going to figure out how to allow the kids to play with them, but you don’t play with a bunny, you watch them or feed them that’s it.
And they said after they got the bunnies they were going to go into petsmart and figure out what they need for them 😑
I really hope their next video is a bunny set up update for the bunnies sake. They have all the resources to do better and it seemed like in the videos they were trying to learn.

@@favoredfilly7824 You can play with bunnies, but it must be on their terms. With my bunnies I let them run around and play and pretty much chomp on grass for about 5 hours a day straight, and while they are doing that, I will walk up to them, lower my hand into their eye range so they see me, move my hand in front of their nose, let them smell me so they know it’s me, then I stroke their head and ears. They love it. They often make happy bunny noises at that point. 🥰🐰 And sometimes they will just randomly run up to me and headbutt me, until they get attention and grooms. Then they run back to eating grass. So you can play with bunnies, but only if you play by their rules. If you do, you get to see bunny binkies! So cute.

I honestly was no prepared for the amount of work I spend taking care of this bunny. It's not a chore by any means, but I was under the impression that bunnies would be "easy" as well, and I'm a 35 year old woman.
One of my (older) nephews came over to see our new bunny the week we got him. My nephew was holding him, and obviously my little bun is adorable, so he said he wanted one.
And my immediate response was: "They are SO MUCH MORE work than a cat or dog."
To which he said "ok, nevermind" lol
But in my head I was like "little man, you are not prepared for this, and your dad would be doing all the work"
I mean, I clean out my bun's litter boxes every 1-2 days.
I deep clean his things once a week.
Every morning, I hop into his playpen and sweep up any stray bedding and hay.
I want to free roam him, but I can't just yet because he's still so small (3 months), and I can't leave him alone with my cat or dog for more than 1 minute (even though they have been very good with him so far, they still have instincts to hunt). So it's actually more work NOT free-roaming him, because I keep him in his play pen while I work from home. And when I'm done with work, I take him into the bedroom with me for a couple of hours and let him run around the room. Then I have to put him to bed.

Everytime a young relative comes over I always makes sure playtime is on the floor and supervised with rules I've told them before hand about being gentle and letting the bunny come to them. Kids will listen of you tell them how to behave around a bunny but it's up to you to make sure nothing happens. It's also important to make sure the bunny has a secure playpen or a babygated room to be safe and sound if there are children or dogs in the home.

Jesus Christ, that was Hella cruel. I only watch this channel because the good tips helped me raise my 4 bunnies massively. I grew up with many animal pets, well my family did, and I am twelve. Me and my family had 4 bunnies and I loved them genuinely, their names were: BunnyBolt , Fluffy, Lilly and LiL Pete. Lilly and fluffy were sisters . Unfortunately, Lilly, Fluffy and bunnybolt all died different ages, but they were absolutely pampered to the core till they died. Over time, the rabbits went from an outside hutch my Dad made, to free-roaming in the house with a large hutch when Pete was still in his younger stages of life. (he is almost 2 now)My family and I are still trying and improving everyday, but I'm gonna be honest here, Pete is very spoilt. He enjoys flopping down within a safe distance of the fire when it's winter.
You can't imagine my face, I could barely watch this video. I just wanted to somehow get my way to their house and show them how to care for bunnies/your videos.I think the reason that the black furred bunny was chasing around the other was because they were not neutered/sprayed and Oreo was male and the other was female, that's my best guess at least. It sincerly hurts me deep down how the kids could do this...I could never even in the slightest consideration do this to Pete. He is spoilt, and though me and my family would like to change that, I'd never be able to do something as awfully cruel.
I know you said not to blame the kids, but I swear I've done my best and I simply can't. Yes it's more the parents fault for being inconsiderate, irrisponsibble, immature and simply dare-I-say it, NOT EVEN DOING PROPER RESEARCH!
I honesty feel for these bunnies, if they were under the same roof as Pete, then they'd massively be greater more fairly, and more healthily and much much more happier. This is the main reason I hate family channels with every cell in my body. They either treat the kids unfairly and absolutley awfully, or its the pets treated that way.I tremendously RECCOMEND anyone who has recently gotten a bunnie rabbit or is considerly buying/adopting one to either watch Lennon the bunny videos, or simply doing general rabbit-care research.LEARNING THINGS TO GIVE YOUR PET A GOOD LIFE ISNT HARD PEOPLE.
Thanks especially to Lorelli(sorry if I butchered that name) who not only cares genuinely for her bunny, but helps others like me for doing the same. Thanks, my childhood of taking care of rabbits is made so much better with this channel. So, Thanks so much

I left him in a very small cage in my room, and once he started being too noisy at night we moved him into the kid's playroom, where we paid even less attention to him. I really wish I had known all the things I knew now 7 years ago. I do take good care of him now, and finally got him out of that cage and free-roaming in my room. He's currently on my bed trying to ask for snuggles 😂 doing your research and then applying what you've learned can really save a bunny's life ❤

I wish the they'd ban kids from RUclips already. Look at how many child actors become completely messed up and then consider that these kids aren't even acting. Their real lives are being manipulated and put on display and they have no way of understanding it. Bringing the Truman Show to life.
On another note I don't think it's fair to blame the kids, like you said, but I also don't agree with the title of this video. My kids watched this video with me and were horrified. My 9 year old said "you couldn't pay me a hundred bucks to do that to Lonny (our rabbit)". Learning to care for our rabbits has helped them grow in so many ways. Our dog and cats have no problem making their needs known but you really have to tune in and pay close attention to know what the rabbit needs and how he feels.
I think the issue is adults and parents seeing a rabbit as a low value animal and rubbing off on their kids. Lots of people still eat rabbit meat so I can understand why some people would find it hard to see a rabbit as just as much a pet as a dog or cat.

Bunnies are advertised in cages to seem like a low maintenance pet parents will buy for their children
It's just like a goldfish in a bowl
Most goldfish won't survive in a bowl for more then a few months while their life span is 15 years
They require at least 10 gallons per every fish and need weekly cleaning which most people fail at this by over croweding their tank and not cleaning it enough or puting the fish in a bowl

I couldn't even watch this knowing whats coming. There is a massive need for education regarding rabbits as pets. I'd love to see a 1/2 or full day education symposium required (not optional) before any rabbit is allowed to be adopted or brought home in any manner. With an attached fee for the class, those not worthy of rabbit ownership may be weeded out through this process? Many rescue's have a great screening process but that can only go so far. Rabbits are complex animals and their relationship with humans needs to be treated as such. Just too many ignorant , unaware ( stupid?) people out there when it comes to rabbit care and well being. This video is a good starting point. Thanks for the post.

When I see people buy bunnies on impulse for their kids it makes me cringe. People think ‘at least it’s not a dog’ but in a lot of cases it’s far too difficult for a child to care for on their own and it’s cruel to the bunny to give it an incompetent care giver, especially provided people don’t really research to actually know what their bunnies need.
