The game is running fine for me, I’ve been disconnected twice in 8 hours of gameplay, I don’t see that as being bad especially for day 1. I’m having a ton of fun.
I love the environment, the atmosphere and the fact that you stay in game across multiple different patrols, completing tasks, cooperating with the same players you ran into hours ago, etc.
I’m super excited to see what they do with the bones of this game.
Still very boring and bad. Terrible AI and gunplay.

Prolly one of the best day 1 launches seeing as AAA gaming millionaires in Activision fucked the hell out of mw3 launch, battlefield 2042s launch, cyber punks launch. These minor bugs that can easily be patches ain't shit compared to the shit we've seen all these years. Tweak your settings if your getting poor fps. I'm running a 3070 with ryzen 3700x cpu and I get 100 fps even flying in the hele.
I have a 13600, 64gb DDR5, RT7800XT, and am getting 150 FPS. At times, my CPU peaks at 100% utilization (typically during flight). My issues are the near constant disconnects, rubber banding, etc. I have a sub 50 ping to the server, so my guess is this is related to servers not configured correctly or not able to keep up with everyone.
I purchased the base version at launch (7am est). For reference, I have a gtx 3080 and a ryzen 5950x. Upon first loading in, my game got a solid 40-60 fps and there was loads of stuttering and buffering. After fiddling with my settings, low gave me the best performance. After about an hour the game started running much more smoothly. The next 2 hours were great fun running through the starting town, questing and fighting ai with other members of the Mithras group. I came back to the game last night after they had dropped 1 or 2 of the hotfixes. The game ran significantly better and found out about the FRS and frame generation trick, which pushed me up to about 90-120 fps consistently. I only got had the game crash 2 times and it was back to back at 1:30 am, to which I took as a sign to go to bed. Overall, I love what this game has to offer, I bought the supporter edition and will continue to support this game development. 10/10 from me even with its obvious flaws.
The scary part is buying the supporter edition, got disconnected and losing all your equiped gear 😢

I have been disconnected and I respawned at the base with all my gear still on, even the stuff I picked up while in raid. Although I did have a task item on me and now my task is broken because I can’t turn it in since I got dc’d💀

@@nikolaisuterovich same thing happened to me, I had to drop the item then go back and retrieve it again, just mess around with it if you don’t want to hit the devs up about it, it’s still early access so it’s definitely not perfect haha
I feel like the game could have been left in the oven to cook for a few more months, but it's in better state than many early access games on release. Tarkov was a husk when it first launched, compared to Gray Zone. Hopefully they take the opportunity to use the tons of data they are getting to optimize the game, as that's really my biggest issue with it. Enjoyed what was there of the gameplay when I wasn't dropping frames and rubber banding, causing me to just drop dead.
There's way too many sub-30 min reviews out there, when it is very difficult to judge any game on the first 30 mins, especially a game like this. With the amount of trash talking of this game the past few days from the people praising the latest blunder from BSG, I wouldn't be surprised if many of them bought it to review bomb and refund.

My rig is a 5900x, 3080ti and 64gb of ram. I’m running it at medium settings and getting 100-120 fps. Couple of little bugs like I got stuck in a healing loop and died but it’s early access and I’m sure they’ll figure it out. I’m a fan man this games real fun
Also got killed by friendly fire and lost my MK18 on my second patrol / raid and I was fuming 😂 I’d be interested to see what the penalty is for team killing

I’m playing currently on a laptop with a mobile 3070…. I’m able to get 57-65 fps while on bad hotel Wi-Fi. It’s very early but the bones are very good.
I have an i9700k 3080 turned fsr quality on. Everything on Epic. I get 90 frames with very little stuttering except for the first heli ride. After i landed, i was fine, and it's been buttery smooth throughout. You need to let the game run for a bit.
i mean, i'm personally just shy of the gpu from the recommended settings, with a rtx3060
and yes the game struggles to stay at 50fps
but is not that fast paced, i can bear, if they said they are working on it... what are the complaints about? didn't you guys read the big ass early access banner on the steam store?
besides me losing half my stash in the first hour because i'm a moron, this game seems a more streamlined and accessible escape from tarkov, and after what tarkov did, i'm on board, seems good to me

Im running a 5800x3D with a 7900xt and 32 gigs of ram and I have to use FSR, but i fully expected that there was going to be issues for awhile. I will agree that after the shader cach loading is done it does clean up well and cant complain.
I get stutters and rubber band that seem severe related. They persist even after 2 hrs of play.
feedback on shooting enemies is heavily delayed. It's hard to tell if my hits are landing, I'm waiting to see if my headshot was a headshot.
this is noticeable with all in game interaction like opening doors.
if they can reduce this issue, it would be far more enjoyable.
Sound isn't bad, but it's not grate.
I play with consistent 90fps and enjoyed it so far.
Check server location. Mine defaulted to east Asia. And I'm in the us

Performance wise mine has been okay. I average about 45 for on medium settings with a 3080ti and 9700k. My biggest issue has been the fact that I have no head, locker, money, or container. I am still trying to play but when you can’t store anything or accept and task rewards it’s a major issue.
Im rockin a 6950xt and a ryzen 5700x and even with fram gen on medium settings i was getting around 90-110 fps but the dips made it terrible. was dropping into 50s every 10 secconds when I turned around. very clunky movement and the ai seemed pretty bad too. Im gona give it another go in like 6 months if this game is still a thing.
Running the game on low at 40-60fps with a 1080. It's not ideal, but it's absolutely playable
I refunded mine. I'm not reviewing it negiatively. The developers have been open about it. For me, ran like crap and I had constant crashes when I was outside of the FOB so I lost all my gear. I haven't got the patience for it at this point. Ill come back in 6 months and try again. I love the idea for the game and want it to well in spite of BSG being greedy bastards.

This devs for sure seem very down to earth, honest and far more communicative than BSG, I have the game and I'm following their discord (they're taking all the feedback into account) + they also streamed and talked with the community about all this issues and their priorities, so just for that I think we can expect a bright future with this game, they're already adding more servers and are working on hotfixes (they released the first) and they said they have as a priority to improve the performance of the game in the incoming updates

I played last night on a 1080 with a few tweaks I got it playable and looked okay. For early access game I loved it and am now shopping for a new video card 😅

As someone who had the money for a good pc, it really does suck that i legit CANNOT play with my friends because their pcs cant run the game when we hyped it for ourselves and bought the supporter edition. I feel like i wasted my money too because i wanted it more as an experience with others. Nonetheless i think its still pretty good but i hope the optimization really does help the game a huge amount.
Why are they recommending an RTX3070 when medium settings push the game past 8gb of video memory.
Imo needed at least another year and more content. Definitely more optimization also.

I have a 7800x3d and a 4070ti (64gb ram), as of this moment I would not recommend buying if u have a mid range GPU. Tbh I feel my rig is not bad but even w dlss I get drops and stuttering, just wait n let’s see if they optimize
I don't care about performance issues since it's just in the "pay to beta test our game" stage (aka Early Access), but I don't support P2W games on principle.

your whole section on performance feels a bit out of touch i gotta be honest. Setting aside those complaining about the game not running on their decade old GPU because theyre not even worth discussing, there are lots of people that fall within recommended requirements are still unable to run the game to an acceptable level.
The overwhelming majority of users on PC are on rigs that were built for them or they do not know enough about on a technical level to fully optimize . But lots of games come out every day that run fine without overclocked cpu's/gpu's, XMP, etc needing to be tweaked to perfection. Yes this game is graphically demanding, yes the devs have been transparent about system requirements, but this is not a case of a well optimized game running poorly on low end computers. The devs themsleves have even acknowledged the optimization needs improvement. Imagine if cyberpunk came out back in 2020 and the devs said "Oh just enable XMP thatll fix it." You would have laughed in their face. Of course thats an extreme example as this game isnt performing that badly, but I believe my point stands.
As a content creator/pc enthusiast, its easy to forget that the vast majority of users know little else beyond how to turn on their computer. And that has always and will likely always be the case. Developers know this and create their games accordingly. Anyone whos asked to reboot into bios and change settings they dont even know the names of in order to play your game is just going to refund it. Full stop. Thats why recommended specs exist. Its meant to be a plug and play experience. Those looking to squeeze every last ounce of visually fidelity and performance can do the steps youre mentioning, but bny no means should they be required. And that is NOT a standard we want to begin accepting, let alone pushing as fair. Optimizing for PC is hard. The variance in specs accross millions of users and hardware combinations is incredibly hard to account for, I'm sure. Thats why we get so many shit PC ports. But if you choose to release your game on PC, it has to be playable on PC. IF you wanna release the modern day crisis and say you need a fully overclocked nasa supercomputer tweaked to perfection that won the silicone lottery on every part, you can do that. But thats not whats happening here.
The game will be fixed eventually and I look forward to it. Im gonna let it cook for a bit and come back. I wish steams review tool had more nuance so things like performance could be mentioned without completely tanking review scores but this is what we have. Its just unfortunate that most of those leaving negative reviews wont go back and update them once things are better performance wise. But devs should know that and account for it when deciding if their game is ready for public attention, even with the EA label.

Its just the Unreal 5 fucking engine, that shit is so bad for optimization. I can’t stress enough how bad is it, idk y people keep using that engine when it demands so much even for people w 2000 series. Idk the technical aspects of it but one would think if you need to have a 2080 to run it then it’s not the best idea to work on that engine. Rn I have no interest in going back to tarkov BUT at least if u have a good cpu you can run it at 60. This one has many drops and the helicopters are not a good experience, I have a 4070ti, 7800x3d 64gb and w dlss I get drops to 70 on all low. Which is laughable but playable still
@@kayddie4127 Nah I think the problem is just that is the first day of the early access launch and they need to take the feedback, update and fix a lot of things, I don't think it has to do nothing with the engine

Just on performance, this is the next generation of game engines, to see the next 5-10 years, just like others before it, example when the original crisis released, that was made for hardware still a few years away, I think it's a bit unrealistic that ppl expect to run something like this with low end parts, I feel this is bringing back the good old days of upgrading your pc to match the games, rather than what it turned into now of upgrade to see an extra 10 added to your fps report.
The moment the game launched the “positive review bombing” started. Loads of positive reviews with people with .4, .5 hrs of play time. These reviewers didn’t even play long enough to get through the server cues. Were they Russians as well?
I've got an R7 5800X, 32GB ram, 3060ti and a 512gb SSD running on 1080p Native. (its nearly full of fucking medal clips that my adhd ass just cant sit down and sort out, But in this theoretical scenario i will have, since i dont have a choice of "not cleaning my clips" if i want to buy this game).
I'm a bit anxious if i should get this game, because I'm not too sure of how it'll perform on my PC as ive seen people on hardware better than mine struggling to push 60FPS, however they are on higher resolutions so.

Do you have 12gb vram, I think alot of people crashing have 8gb including a friend of mine who has a 4060ti, he just got it and is returning for a 16gb cause I told him that's likely what's causing it. Alot of tech youtubers were saying last year how 8gb won't be enough soon and I think this is one of them where it's true

I don't know what you're talking about as far as Hardware requirements. I'm on a 3060 with a solid CPU and I can almost run epic graphics. Dlss currently has a bug where it actually saps performance for some reason but even with that I'm getting 50 frames
Bro I have an i7 10700k and a rtx 3070 32 gbs ram xmp on I know what I’m doing and this game crashed 6 times in an hour. It also runs brutal. When I turn fxr and frame Gen on the game looks like minecraft and input lag is insane. All these RUclipsrs making this game seem good when it’s optimization is worse then tarkov and that’s saying something lmao.
i managed to get it running fine on my rig frames wise, but then id crash any time i tried to get in the helo and leave the FOB. This happened twice, losing my starter gear each time. With no way to create a new character and with dwindling resources, I decided to just table this game for a few months.
@@drfrankendoodle that’s exactly what happened to me. Called the helicopter and either lost my gear before it landed or soon as it took off lost my gear twice and crashed like 6 times. Game should not have been released. Not everyone owns a 4080 like all these big streamers. Let’s see them play this game on a 3070 or a 2080 super and see if they don’t complain.

I’m going to upgrade my pc prob this winter but I can run streets of Tarkov at 80-100fps on my current setup with lower settings. Gray zone warfare also crashed 8 times in 80 mins of play time on steam before I refunded it.
Honestly feeling bad for the devs, not sure it was ready for EA, but I’m really enjoying the game. If you look past the server issues and realize it’s not fully developed or ready I think that this game could easily be a fun game. The Devs aren’t BSG and I can’t stand to play tarkov anymore, so at least I’ve something else to play other than SPT now 😂

i see such a big difference between players and developers idea of minimum and recommended specs and what acceptable performance is ... its not even funny.
here is my understanding as a player:
minimum: bare minimum TESTED specs that gives you a playable performance - playable means - 60fps stable with all the help tools like frame generation and upscaling at a visual quality thats still suitable to play the game.
recommended : minimum tested specs that give you 120 FPS on lowest settings at least in NATIVE resolution. can then be set higher and uses frame generation or upscaling to still give you 120 frames but with higher fidelity.
That means - i have the minimum specs and i can play the game in its worst looks with all the AI support i can get. Recommended i can play the game at usual PC FPS for shooters (120) in NATIVE
With the current recommended specs the games runs at 15 - 30 FPS in all lowest Settings native...... RECOMMENDED like.... hey thats the hardware where the game is at the minimum we envision as GOOD performance....... So 15 - 30 FPS native is how you want us to play the game......And i talk about 1080p here... not even 4k
Thats straight up a lie - In the current state the recommended specs are the real minimum and the real recommended should be a 4080 upwards. FSR is currently the only way to get it running close to 60 any lower... and if you enable frame gen for that the input lag is like 1 second. Also the visuals get so blurry upwards of 10 meters that you cannot see enemys in front of vegitation.
Its not a problem to build a game that needs the highest current gen hardware to run - but you need to be clear with your specs: if its not optimised just say - will only run on a 4090 and thats fine. Lower the specs once you got the performance up.... but 90% of players with recommended specs are running into an unplayable experience right now, and thats whats causing bad reviews - not everyone follows dev blogs to know what their point is about performance.
TLDR: FRAMES ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE - Solid 60 native for recommended at least

with DLSS i have abround 55 - 59 max
FSR is so blurry that enemys meld into the background.... with FSR and frame gen i got 90 frames but input lag from hell ....
So the only playable way is dlss for me and run sub 60..... So sub 60 FPS with blurry image is the recommended way to run this game according to the devs
EDIT: and to make it clear - i can play, and i am not like screaming at the devs for the performance but i see sub 60 fps as unplayable for any game so there is no way anyone will get 60 with lower specs than the recommended ... so the minimum is what exactly ? the minimum specs that the game will at least start?
The game is really disappointing. It may have potential, but you can only review what is in front of you. There are many game breaking bugs, some of which actually render it impossible to play. For example, after multiple crashes i lost ALL my inventory and my character is permanently invisible, I cannot actually play. I'm not alone with this issue. The map is okay, but the character movement, weapon animations and so on are janky, and the basic game loop is really poor.
It should not have released like this, and should have been kept in development/testing for several months more.
People really want a decent extraction looter shooter game after being completely let down by EFT, but this isnt the one, alas.
NGL, it really is the game just running like trash when the same people are able to play other game releases just fine, its was/is the same case with warzone, some people's PC's that should by all standards crush the games specs out of the water and be able to play on high with 100+ fps, are experiencing stutters like crazy, the game just is not optimized correctly , the same as this game
also, alot of people arent actually experiencing pure low fps issues, the game is plagued by issues of random fps stutters that can take the game from 100 -120 fps into randomly getting 60 or lower for a few seconds and back to normal, also if someone with a 3060 or higher cant run this game on high with 100+ stable fps, then yes, the game is seriously unoptimized lol

The majority of people complaining about poor performance are people running sub par pcs or 7 year old pcs. Be realistic and upgrade your stuff. Devs aren’t going to make games for old systems, that would be like Sony still making games for the ps3

4070 and max 40-50 fps optimization for the game is just not there yet there have been reports of so many different builds even top of the line builds are struggling it was a terrible time to release the game early the devs should have waited could have been from the left drama at the moment.. there is promise to the game but it still needs a bit of time to cook I had issues even launching the game needed to get a VPN to get past some errors

There's a dozen different reasons why people are getting low frames. Most PC gamers are tech illiterrate and they can barely put a PC together by following a RUclips step-by-step guide.
Most of them have no idea how to optimize the software side of things. Enabling XMP is just the tip of the iceberg. Most of those people don't even know how to correctly install drivers, they have 10GB+ worth of driver rot in their systems because they never do clean wipes. They have 10 different bloat apps running at the same time, one for each peripheral device that doesn't need to run and does nothing but eat up RAM and hog the CPU. They use Chrome with 100 extensions and 25 open tabs, half of those RUclips.
Then, they launch the game, leave everything on default video settings and unironically expect to get high frame rates.
Most PC gamers should've stayed on console, and games like GZW show why.
Is the game optimized? No, it runs on UE5 which is fundamentally bloated and it has 1000m rendering distance of very dense foliage on top of it. But is it SO unoptimized that people with $1500 computers can't run it well? No, at that point that's entirely on YOU being tech illiterate and expecting shit to just work as if your PC is a console.

They released a game that they shouldn’t have charged for in this day and age. With everyone hyper focused on EA games.. Essentially treating them like full released games..
They could have gave out beta keys with a promotion to get more of the regular player base to play this game. It’s not review bombing.

I have to disagree. Game's performance is clunky. If u don't inform a user about shader compiling that's also a negative and it's devs fault. Needing upscaling from super low resolution is a no go. What's the point of great visuals if u can't see it clearly. Frame generation is a no go for shooters it shouldn't be required.
Game looks good but they are better looking games that are transparent what is needed and what game does in a background. People review current state of the game. If it's bad it's bad. It can improve over time and reviews can improve but people don't review promises. They review what they got.

really quality video but this game has way more problems than bugs and performance. its genuinely essentially an upscaled mobile game in regards to its gameplay and interactions within the map. i dont see how the core of the game could get better unless it gets completely reworked and if thats the case then its even more clear that they shouldnt of released it just bcuz tarkov made a huge pr mistake.
For all the issues GZW has, Tarkov has effectively been a dead game since Arena was announced in terms of content, as since then they've been pumping out trash content after more trash content, so I truly don't think this release was solely because Tarkov made a mistake (they've been doing that for quite a while now)

Let me save you all the trouble and tell you that majority of the people who are review bombing. The game didn't read the developer warning prior to starting the game and then proceeded to plan about the issues and warned about.

What server are you playing on? US West I've literally waited max 10 seconds in queue with multiple launches.
I am not from Russia and my negative review objectively pointed out the absolute garbage of a generated jungle map. It feels like Arma3 mod with better textures. In no shape this is a beautifully crafted Tarkov maps and subsequently gameplay competitor. That's why BSG behaves worse than EA and Activision.

I played for 6 hours today with friends and solo. The queue times with more than two takes some time. But other than that I had no issues loading in or with the gameplay. Definitely not a game for lower end builds.

This game was ASS when I played it a few days ago. So much running, little gun fights, terrible optimization, laggy, laggy, laggy, laggy. I couldn't run more than 2 feet before i got rubberbanded a foot. I played this on my 7900 GRE/ 7800x3d PC and it ran like ASS at 1080p low FRS Ultra Performance. Blurry mess. Just to get 60 FPS. Ran nonstop for 30 minutes before I quit and refunded. Time to Refund AnySpeed%
any proof of the Russian sources? I'm american and left a horrible review because thats how I feel about it. Sounds like people are blaming BSG for the bad reviews with no proof.
And also have a 5800x3d and 3080ti. You shouldnt have to turn on FSR or DLSS for performance. The game is also very clunky.
Same here. I have a top PC and haven't had any issues with performance except a few stutters, my problem was that this is not the game I want to come back to, this is not a Tarkov competitor simply because they have similar inventory and it belongs to the same genre. The game is just really poorly optimized, no matter what specs you have its not going to run well, and the game breaking bugs are bad, the gameplay is great however that doesnt change the bad, its good but needs a lot of time to cook, but content creators gotta stop blaming peoples setup when it falls mostly on the games poor stability and optimization

What’s frustrating with this video is that the ceo saying it’s Russian manipulation was bs. Only steam could verify that and they have NOT. The game went from 40-60% in HOURS! That’s very rare and near impossible which shows the tactics to positively review the game to counter the false negative narrative worked. That’s scummy. These streamers that only talk positively are just as scummy as the studios that use these predatory practices like charging a AAA price for the upgrade “support edition” AND charge AAA game early access pricing AND day 1 paid DLC AND tiered editions for pay to win/advantage. I've noticed that the majority of negative reviews are mainly written by spoiled man babies who are unhappy because their game on max graphics (as they claim it to be so) is only running at 55 and not 60+ FPS. Sure, the game has performance issues, but if you're unhappy with 55 FPS on max graphics and you are refusing to lower said graphics, then the issue is within you and not the game.

this game isn't cpu heavy, I have a buddy running a ryzen 2700 and he gets 50-60fps meaning, a 3600 is perfectly capable of hitting 70-80 fps with frame gen. There is no reason for that cpu to be getting as low as what people are claiming, those who are getting that fps clearly did not turn on frame gen
