Actually the perfect end to Diamond and Pearl would have been Tobias not existing, Ash winning and having him go up against the elite four and champion, and win or lose against Cynthia we could have had a great excuse to go to a brand new character for Black and White.

He should have been at least, if Tobias hadn't made the league. Seriously this was just a pretty rushed way to wrap up a good league. Who in their right mind let that guy who likely had nothing but legendaries enter a league like this?

      1. Tobias (seriously why did he RANDOMLY appear??? I wouldn't be so upset if he was mentioned _not_ on the actual day of the Sinnoh League!)
      2. Ash and Paul tie. I love all of Ash's Sinnoh Pokemon, but if you take out Infernape Ash seems to be _slightly_ weaker than Paul, though of course I still love Pikachu, Gliscor, Gible, Torterra, Staraptor, and Buizel!! I wish Paul would return :P

In my opinion the Sinnoh league was Ashs best achievement. Yes he reached the kalos finals, yes he won the aloha league... But in terms of growth, tactics and strategy the Sinnoh league was top. We saw Ash switch and swap pokemon in battles which he has never done before. We saw him use more advanced strategies. He used old and current pokemon. And that was key to getting that far. If tobias wasn't in the league I agree that Ash would have won it all. Then the writers go and nerf Ash for the unova league 🤦‍♂️

I just put Kalos, Alola, and Sinnoh as a 3-way tie. Kalos had the most cinematic battles, Alola had some of the best drama and pacing, and Sinnoh was a great balance of the other two.

    • @monishmayekar5197

Ya but kalos battles ended up really quick. They only focused on ash's 2 battles. While sinnoh and alolan league was full of strategies, rivalry and friendship . The performance was outstanding in all 3 leagues however its only alola where ash's companions became his rivals and Trainers like Goosma added more Spice in such battles .
Basically what I mean to say is Kalos battles were more qualitative than alolan and Sinnoh however in sinnoh and alola not only battles but they also focused more on quantity and some personal matters like lillie vs gladion, goosma vs Ash , Mallow vs lana, Torracat vs Inceneroar and Lycanrock vs Lycanrock . Emotions were flowing in these battles .

    • @gandalfdoesntgiveaf1073
      @gandalfdoesntgiveaf1073 3 года назад +1

@@monishmayekar5197 Really quick? Did we watch the same show cause the Kalos league battles (despite fully seeing 2 of them) were 2 episodes long each with the least amount of cuts away from the battle out of EVERY league.
Also in Alola, Ash's companions should not have entered the league. There is no reason for them to enter the winning the league and it doesn't align with any of their goals. Also, the finals were a 3v3 so most of them were doomed to start. Simply being in the league, doesn't make someone a rival to Ash.

I didn’t like the alola league. It was lame!

  • @dragondudeification
    @dragondudeification 4 года назад +30

    Here is my list:
1.Alola League : I don't care what anyone says, it is one of the best leagues in my opinion. Saying it is not a real league or a bad one just because the battles were 3v3 is sort of a poor excuse in my opinion. Most of the other leagues were more 3v3 than 6v6. Even if ash battle one or two other trainers beforehand 6v6, would really make that much of a difference? The battle with Kukui made up for it in my opinion and really showed that ash deserved to win. Also, each of ash's pokemon in this league got their chance to shine and had good battles and wins under their belt.
    2. Sinnoh: I like that fact that ash brought back some of his old pokemon and his battle with paul was just epic. His battle with Tobias while disappointing really showed how strong of a trainer he really was. He managed to be Darkrai, an undefeated pokemon in two moves with sceptile and gible ( remember he recovered from heracross with dream eater), Sceptile was the only pokemon on Ash's team that not only managed to take a hit from darkrai but a super effective one to boot and the battle with latios and pikachu was epic. It took a guy with legendaries to stop ash and he still managed to take two of them out, only using three of his big power houses in that fight.
    3. The Kalos league was good, but felt rushed. The battle with Sawyer and Alain were pretty good. Though it might be my opinion, kind of wish there were a couple of changes. As much as I like pikachu being a powehouse, sort of didn't really like how it carried the fight with Alain and Sawyer, getting two wins while Goodra and Noivern literally got no major wins, at least not ones of screen. They were literally ash's first fully evolved dragon types with one being a pseudo, sort of wish they weren't swept under the wrong just s o Pikachu and region ace could take the spotlight. Sort of like with Torterra in Sinnoh. I also agree with ash should of won that battle. Yes Alain Charizard it pretty strong, but pikachu still managed to weaken it, bringing it down a knee and you could see in part to of the battle it was wearing it down. Plus Greninja managed to hold its own with it in it incomplete form. after Alain beat Malva and the other megas.
    4. The Hoenn League: Maybe an unpopular opinion and pretty forgettable at times but in my opinion, it was a good league and a good battle. Not to mention, it showed off the power of a pokemon that seems to be little attention in the fandom, glaie. Seriously, the closes thing it had to a major loss was to ties in the entire league. It even managed to be a charizard, quilava and a metang. Dude doesn't get enough love. Also loved that there was no clear one ace as while glaie did have good wins, Grovyle and Swellow proved their stuff.
    5. The Jhoto League: I really like ash's battle with Jackson and Macy. His battle with Gary, though kind of felt of in a way to me. I kind of wished more of his old team was in this one, bulbasaur, pikachu, squirtle, along with Charizard, Snorlax and Heracross. Would of felt a bit more meaningful that just having Snorlax and Charizard carry the team. Have each of them get one win against Gary's pokemon and have a one on one fight with Charizard. The fight against Harrison was...meh. I get they needed to promote the next region, but having Charizard lose to a Blazkien who used fire attacks after supposedly beating all of the Charizard in the Charicific Valley and beating a Blastoise didn't sit right with me.
    6. Indigo League: This was ash's first league and for a beginner he did pretty well. He had good battles on this one. The battle with ritchie was complete bs. The only dumb decision ash made was no bringing kingler in this one but then again he would of loss due to one thing, sleeping. Charizard can somewhat see, since it was just laying there, doing nothing...but even still. With Squirtle, there was no excuse there, it was complete nonsense and a bad plot device that it was unable to battle from sleep powder. The writers did ash dirty with that, but I guess we now know the real reason why they made ash release butterfree.
    7. Unova League: Yeah, the only good battle ash had was against Stephen but that was it. He battle with Cameron was just bad. His regional bird couldn't even land a hit on riolu let alone beat it and regardless of the damage it took from Snivy and pikachu, its evolution most of restored its health somehow giving it a edge, sort of like with Alain's Charizard. This, the indigo and to a good extent the Kalos and Sinnoh League seem like the writing was against Ash.
People may call shenanigans on the "counter with counter" thing, but after these four leagues and the way he
loss, I say it is a deserving pass. And as stated, the Kukui battle really proved that he earned the trophy and title. Beating not only a nearly undefeated champion, but an island guardian as well. While using possible one of if not his most powerful team, with no one ace.

It may not be the best league, but in my personal opinion it was a bit better than Kalos due to the fact that it wasn't as rushed and we got to see more epic battles, not just ash's battle with Sawyer and Alain. It wasn't just ash winning the league, it was the fact that with his Alola team, there was no one star player. Sure Lycanroc helped him win the league but in Kukui's battle all of ash's pokemon with the exception of Lycanroc got a win under their belt.
As much as I like ash's league in Sinnoh and Kalos, they really made at least one pokemon on his team be a big jobber so the mvp on the region and pikachu could take the spotlight. EX: Torterra, Noivern and Goodra. Not to mention after beating a mega sceptile and having even pikachu weaken it, the fact that Greninja lost to Charizard X in its complete form after being able to nearly defeat it in it's incomplete form in their second battle kind of is a let down.
As many people may hate how ash lost the sinnoh league I see it as a much more loss to swallow down compared to Kalos and a testament to show that ash is a pretty powerful trainer. He was the first in the entire region to defeat an unbeaten darkrai and take down Tobais's latios and he only used three of his major powerhouses, not to mention there was no rivalry build up between Tobias and Ash prior so not a lot of people were hyping him up to win as much as they were with him and Alain whom were in a way rivals.

wikiuser92 actually there was a lesson to learn from losing to Cameron, but before I get to that, Cameron sending out Pokémon with a type disadvantage fits with his character, because Cameron is a good battler but is a bit of an airhead sometimes, like Ash, Ash needed the kick in the pants from losing to Cameron, losing to him was exactly the kick in the pants Ash needed to become the trainer he was in Kalos, the Unova league May have been disappointing to some, but nonetheless, it’s an experience that made Ash who he is today.

I may have made a blunder, but I'll still win!" And he did. That simply isn't a good lesson. He won because he was lucky and his Pokémon evolved conveniently. You shouldn't rely on luck over skill to get ahead in life. That's the lesson Ash learned back when he lost the Indigo League due to Charizard's disobedience. Ash got better in Kalos because the writers realized that "soft rebooting" him (along with things like Team Rocket) had been a mistake, so I suppose they wanted to make up for those mistakes by making the XY Ash super competent. His Mega Charizard had more experience and more time in training than Ash getting his Froakie at the start of his journey in episode two, and training, battling and evolving all the way to Greninja, which is the 100th episode, I believe.
When it comes to Pokemon Battles for me nowadays, It's about the Experiences, Limits, and Logics, and of course, always expect the unexpected. I don't view it by type advantages because it's Anime and not the actual video games, But if that's the case, then Sawyer should have won with his Grass-type Mega Sceptile vs Ash's Water-type Ash-Greninja. Again, Experiences, Limits=Power, Logic, and Always expect the unexpected.
Besides who do you think which Finalist sounds like a true champ, A trainer who came to win or A trainer who came just for the fun, and both are good guys.
Alain may have deserved the win, but what Ash really need in the future is a greater rematch

7.Unova League(Only one good battle being ash vs Stephan axew lost episode was wasted we could’ve had another episode to have a good battle nope we get filler lost Pokémon)
    6.Indigo League(To much filler)
5.Hoenn(Alright my Favorite battle was ash vs Walrein Lady)
4.Johto(I mainly remember ash vs Gary)
3.Kalos(Rushed but had 2 amazing battles and I think it made sense that ash lost Greninja isn’t the tankiest pokemon, Blast burn being really powerful, Charizard also now being neutral to water so water shuriken did less also Alains charizard fought legendaries and other megas ash doesn’t really do that a lot greninja and pikachu being the only ones to ask ash and greninja mastered the ash greninja form like 3-4 eps before the league)
2.Sinnoh(best league story wise kinda but I agree I gotta remove nostalgia glasses and it’s good All but like 1 Battle was skipped so sweet ash literally had to fight with legendaries just to be defeated in the league)
1.Alola league is amazing the battle royal was cool, The finals bracket were cool highlights from the final 16 being Kiawe vs Acerola, Guzma vs Ilima, Ash vs Faba, Mallow vs Lana, Gladion vs Lillie(ended like how it should’ve Lillie gets wrecked
Final 8 Ash vs Hau was decent
Kiawe vs Sophocles started good then ended ok because we already kiawe the winner
    Gladion vs James was ok
Guzma vs Lana reminds me of one battle in the beyblade series when ryuga destroyed Tsubasa and Kyoya
Ash vs Guzma amazing especially when they fully gave us the finished Guzma origins
    Beautiful
    Gladion vs Kiawe was great
    Gladion vs Ash was good
And ash vs KUKUI spoiler was proven to be the masked royal shocker I know 😂😂 was good
    Torracat/incineroar

If I added orange islands then it gets 4th

  • @Fureiji88
    @Fureiji88 4 года назад +11

I don't know I technically have to count 8 leagues regardless of what you may think of the orange islands season doesn't change the fact that the reason alola can exist at all as a concept is due to the orange islands already having laid the basic ideas for it and alola expanded those ideas so for me there's no 7, there's 8.
    8. Unova League: Yeah say what you want about me putting this below even the indigo league but the entire season was one big ass mess where it had its moments to be sure but regardless of the earthquake and tsunami in 2011 that forced the anime to change it's story for the team plasma and team rocket stuff should not have really impacted the unova league this much either and in terms of the anime which I really feel I have to spell it out cause people can't seem to tell the difference when saying this but the characters of Unova in the anime were not that well handled compared to their game counter parts which in the cases of Iris and Cilan is kind of sad since their roles in the games weren't too big either. anyway due to how that whole season was a mess I really could not get into what was happening in this league where again it has its moments but it really didn't live up or at least show it had some back up plan to fall on for the overhaul on the story after the Quake.
    7. indigo league :nostalgic as it is Team Rocket served more a really big distraction for a majority of it which is thankfully something the anime learned to not do in the future. I don't hate it but i do see it as the weakest league in the anime and as for your complaint on charizard sleeping and I know you said you started at sinnoh but you need to keep in mind season 1 is where Ash despite his good nature was a cocky trainer who just assumed things were gonna work out for him and barely did any training with his pokemon which is why for a long time Charizard would always neglect Ash and refuse to obey him. that's kind of why for a lot of people who watched the original Ash losing in that way made the most the sense cause he needed the wake up call to realize he can't just be cocky and neglect proper training. the following episode goes into it with oak telling Ash how had he done a better job as a trainer then Charizard would've obeyed him fine.
    6. Orange Island League: Regardless of what you may think or feel about this season this one is important. I am putting it at the 6 spot due to how it all was just a one battle match up against the champion which again a lot of things in this season are what ended up being executed better when we got the alola region even though the draw back for a majority of the season was a lack of tension and was a bit more childish by comparison but anyway. This league is important because it has a lot of the needed bounce backs Ash needed to show he learned from his past mistakes in the indigo league right down to him and charizard finally seeing eye to eye again. the battle against the champion was also pretty good for what it was. it was a full a 6 on 6 battle and this was the battle that showed Ash was on the right path of maturing as a trainer especially when he was up against a pretty OP dragonite that Pikachu eventually defeats. despite the short comings and how it was disappointing in how it was a get 4 badges through challenges for just a just battle the champion after that with no tournament structure to it, the battle itself was pretty good which again this one is important that signaled Ash was on the right track of improving as a trainer and while him winning may not merit much cause orange islands don't exist in the games I still feel this one is important cause we're not talking about the games canon, we're talking about the anime which is its own thing and one would think would understand that by this point. so regardless of feelings this one earns its spot for me cause as I said it's an important one that adds to Ash's growth as a trainer and character.
    5. Hoen League: I'll be honest I could not decide which between this and 4 I felt deserved this spot as both were equally good in my opinion but Hoen was slightly less good than my number 4 pick. I liked how things progressed in Hoen and for how it started I do give credit in how Ash made it as far as he did with the pokemon he chose to just use for it. The battles weren't too bad all things considered and I don't have anything against an overpowered Meowth, in fact I think it's pretty impressive both in anime and in the games anyone can make a meowth that impressive and I love his whole puss in boots design. the battles for me were decently engaging and that's kind of all I gotta say on it.
    4. Johto League: This season was pretty good when it came to the league arc. This had the kind of build ups and pay offs the indigo league lacked and didn't deliver on and the pokemon that Ash had to let go specifically his Kanto pokemon got to catch up to him which was pretty sweet. the Ash vs Gary battle was something that was a long time coming and really gave us something I think many of us were waiting on. Charizard vs Blaziken I do agree in what you said as it was both a epic battle that was very close and it introduced a new pokemon that would motivate Ash to travel to Hoen. and for those who had been watching since Kanto the battles here and what happened after did feel like the end of an era had come for Pokemon as we move on to the next one.
    3. Sinnoh League: I know you hold it in a high regard since you do mention this was your exposure to pokemon which is fine I can't really blame people for that as this was the season that elevated a lot of things for pokemon and as you mentioned this was the only other time besides the johto and the battle frontier where Ash used many of his old and current pokemon to try and win this league. the battles were impressive and the whole ordeal with Ash and Paul was really well handled and executed in what it had to deliver. however as good as this was which believe me this did do a lot of things right to be at number 3 in ranking leagues the problem was I don't think the anime knew how to end this league properly where all the other times Ash lost were at least believable but jesus that battle with that guy who apparently caught himself legendaries and unlike the other trainers Ash has battled and lost to who had some kind of build up to how good they are, this guy just comes out of nowhere. I can't really explain this properly but it's just nothing about that battle felt it was done right. it just felt like the writers were somehow out of excuses on how to make ash lose this league cause lord forbid he wins one. So it was an overall good league arc but it had a really bad landing on how to end it.
    2. Kalos League: This one remains my favorite where yeah it was short but like with the orange island league it didn't matter mostly cause this really delivered on the battles and showed how far Ash has come along as a trainer and man that was some glorious animation there and I still can't get over how all of that was pretty damn epic. and like you I do feel like Ash should've won this one too but if you've been following pokemon since it's first season then you'd kind of realize this was just par for the course due to how the writers never seem to want to give Ash this big victories.
before jumping at number 1 I will give an honorable mention to the battle frontier. while not a actual league it did have a structure to the gym battles where ash needed to defeat 8 of them. I liked the concept and I liked how it really did feel different and despite what I will say for my obvious number 1 league pick, the battle frontier is where really a lot of things came together for Ash and if it were allowed I would've liked to put this above the sinnoh league for everything this pulled off in how many legendaries Ash actually fought in this one and needing to use nearly all his pokemon from his past ones to his current ones where even squirtle, bulbasaur, and charizard join in to help him in that final frontier battle.
    1. Alola League: For what was an overall hit and miss season if we're being honest where it had good episodes and good arcs the alola league is where it made itself stand out. now if you were to compare orange islands and alola you'd see where the ideas came from and how alola expanded on those ideas a lot more and to be fair executed them a lot better. the alola league was pretty interesting in how it starts and as you mentioned I did like how the battles when it came to the final 16 all felt personal in someway and man that last battle was surprisingly epic although I think missed an episode on if they ever explained how ash's z crystal just evolves to do his million thunderbolt. but regardless I was surprised and blown away cause I did not expect things to elevate the way did when you think about the overall season and how it pretty much did a lot of time wasting. this is where I have to say as a whole the alola season was hit and miss with some good episodes and character moments and a good arc but the alola league and even it's final episode of the season was done really well. so a rocky road but a grand finale worth checking out. Yeah Ash winning this league I get is a big deal for some but for anyone who has watched him since the beginning him winning wasn't the big thing, it's how similar to other leagues that did this right show how Ash continues to grow as a trainer and puts his experiences to the front and pushed forward that makes him winning this league worth a pay off like with what we got with orange league and battle frontier.
that's my list so here's hoping Galar brings us something good.

    • @inamdaryasin

I wish what you say was actually what creators done to make Ash lost the Kanto league rather than use TR to exhaust his Pokemons, don't let him choose the team and forced him to use charizard,
I think creators done the right thing for pikashunium z, they make it appear only when Ash need it the most so it will be very special, the final fight between 10 million volt thunderbolt Vs Guardian of Alola was so hype because of that, also this z crystal was created by Ash and Pikachu strong bond they can't make him received pikashunium z from anyone as it never existed in entire universe and they can't let him spam this z move to make it feel very less special, you can think it that way if Ash get blaze infernape from Paul instead of Chimchar and Ash-Greninja instead of Frogadier around episode 50 than those 2 won't be so special in the league.

I agree with this list except for the rank of the Unova League. Kanto is better since he was still a rookie but in Unova he shouldn't be one (the reboot made me hate Unova more). Alola and Sinnoh are the best leagues for me. The battles had meaning. Not just "I'll show you my power/I'm stronger than you like his battle with Alain". It would have had meaning if he won but he lost.
In the Sinnoh League, Ash and Paul were betting their beliefs as a trainer. Add the fact, that DP Ash was the most strategic Ash in the series (Journeys might surpass this). Even taking inspiration from Dawn's style of battling and performance. Old pokemon came back to help Ash win. And Ash defeating two of Tobias' pokemon showed how strong he became. Ash was the only trainer in Sinnoh that was able to do this feat.
In the Alola League, it was not only the battles of Ash that held importance but also those who have been close to Ash. Ash defeated all of his rivals and won the league. And the battle between professor Kukui and Ash was epic. The student surpassed his teacher. The "son" surpassed his "father". Add the fact, that it was Pikachu, his first pokemon, who gave him the win.

I wish this was Ash's team in Unova: (Not including Charizard)
Krookodile- Ash's krookodile was very good . It beat Stephan's Sawk and overall I'd rate it 9.1/10
Leavanny- His Leavanny was alright. Better than Snivy.
Samurott- Well his Oshawott wasn't the greatest im sure it would've been more stronger if it was fully evolved.
Archeops- Ash boldore was good when it evolved but after it started to suck. Same thing for his Unfezant. I'm sure if he had an Archeops, its performance would be much better.
Pikachu- Do i even need to explain LOL
Scrafty- Scarggy was good but it could've been better if it evolved.
Although Pignite was meant to be his "ace" or something, I decided not to include it

My league rankings from best to worst:
    1) Alola (every battle was shown and wrapped up every rivalry perfectly for ash’s Pokémon while also setting up a new one completely between kiawe and gladion. Guzma’s section was amazing as well. Also ash vs kukui was hella lit. Only issue was no full 6 v 6 in the actual league)
    2) sinnoh (concluded one of the best rivalries from the anime with an epic 3 parter. Only problem was Tobias pulling a pro gamer move on ash)
    3) johto (finally got ash vs Gary which was a pretty entertaining battle (backstory with that poke ball thing was a little unnecessary imo) and a great intro for the advanced series through the battle with Harrison and his blaziken)
    4) hoenn (not a bad league but not a good one either imo. Pretty average)
    5) kanto (pretty bad start for ash’s first league. Especially with the TR and charizard BS)
    6) unova (would’ve been last for obvious reasons if kalos had focused more on ash’s battles)
    7) kalos (focused to much on setting up for the team flare arc (yes it’s an amazing arc but the league suffered imo as it needed an extra episode or two to slow down the damn pacing; ash vs shota didn’t need to be a two parter imo cause we already knew ash would face off against Alain as Alain’s only reason for joining the league was to battle ash) rather than showing ash actually battling which is the point of a league. No other league has completely skipped ash battling (two battles at that too). You fail as a league imo if you can’t show the MC’s battles. Saying it’s because “it would be useless to show battles against nobodies” is a dumb argument especially since every other league has at least shown some part of ash’s battles against nobodies. All it had to do was at the very least show me a flashback to those battles and I would’ve been fine but they didn’t even mention them!!

The only reason why the Alola League is the best league is because Ash won it, it showed all the battles, and Ash had an epic 6v6 battle with Kukui. Well actually I think that’s just 3 reasons. lol

Ash winning it isn’t even a reason for me. It’s got so many. For starters the pacing is great with the exception of those stupid bewear scenes, it had a unique start with a battle royal compared to past leagues and most importantly it had great writing especially with the guzma parts.

Wow, to me the Unova league doesn’t deserve to be last, yes he lost to Cameron when he had 6 Pokémon to his 5, but the thing is Cameron only bringing 5 fits with his character, he forgot to sign up for the league, thought he only needed 7 badges to qualify, it fits with his character and Ash losing to Cameron who was basically a mirror of who Ash was in Unova, was just the kick in the pants he needed, after he lost he was filled with that motivation again, if you remember what he said when he got back home from Unova, he went to Kalos now not needing a rival like Paul to push him to get better, he had a point to prove to one person and that was to himself, I contribute Ashbeing good in Sinnoh from his desire to beat Paul, but when he no longer had that type of motivation anymore, there was a clear drop off in performance, it works from a writing standpoint, as the things that happened in Unova were absolutely necessary to become the person he was in kalos, Ash has always been the same in every region, and Ash only bringing one Pokémon to a 3v3 against his gym battle with Elesa sounds dumb, but it works from a writing standpoint because it shows despite how good Ash gets, he is still human and can make mistakes, it’s not like he made a mistake like that before, I’m 20 and have been playing Pokémon competitively since I was 12, and even now at 20, I still make a bone headed mistake, but I leant from it, and remember Ash is always 10, he is a kid, I’m an adult making mistakes, the Black and White series is very underrated, and I can defend every aspect of it with legitimate arguments, but it’s all subjective, my least favorite series is the original series, I really dislike it, for many reasons I won’t get into

Keeten Dailey I'm currently watching through the Unova anime now, and I agree that people give it more shit than it deserves. One of the main points is how they handled team rocket in the first two seasons of it. Them being gone and only coming back for actually unique and smart plans adds to the experience. In Sinnoh, they were in basically every episode and rarely did anything interesting. Them being the main conflict in damn near every episode in DP made it bland. The Unova anime filler episodes mostly have unique conflicts that keep me interested in what makes up most of each anime, the filler. Yeah as someone who loves battles like the ones Kalos, the battles in Unova are somewhat lackluster, but they aren't bad

I can't put Alola in the top spot. The matches were good but it was such a simpler league. The finales weren't even 6 on 6. It was great that Ash won it but I would've put this one in 3rd. 2nd would go to Kalos for the good battles pluse the quick lead in into the Flare arc. And Top placement for me has to be Sinnoh. Ash vs Paul was like top 3 Pokemon anime battles of all time. Yes it sucks a guy with apparently all legendaries got the win, but it was a nice nod that Ash was the only one to defeat some of Tobias' pokemon. It gave credit to his super strong team and strategies at the time. I think the writers realized they made Ahs too strong and needed someone unstoppable to beat him. Over the course of the leagues Ash should have won Sinnoh and Kalos along with Alola. I think the idea of Ash winning now and then would be better than a 20 year wait but that's me. Also I do like Ash vs Cameron from Unova, yeah the 5v6 thing was dumb, but personally Hydreigon his my favorite pokemon so seeing Cameron use it as a secret weapon and it destroying 2 and a half of Ash's pokemon to quickly even the odds was really cool.

I don't know about other pokefans but I really disappointed with the karlos league, there were lots of expectations like many high quality battles between mega evolved pokemons, many interesting tactics dramas actions, but only few battles were shown, only Ash vs Saywer and Ash vs Alan battles were the main attractions, also Ash could have bring some of his powerhouse pokemons which could really make the league unique, not just that without greninja and pikachu other pokemons didn't show their best at all,I don't know what was so rush to finish the league this way, this was the first time Ash made it to the final but all the battles were not shown.
On the other hand alola league was very very weak compare to the other leagus, but the way it was represented by showing every singal battle was just amazing, and finally at last Ash won a pokemon league.

I think the Kalos League was rushed due to the climax right after the league. But I think his team could've been represented a little better. I had a doubt, is a Pokemon sleeping judged as a loss? In Indigo league Charizard slept and Ash was disqualified but at the same time in Alola league Rowlet slept but the battle was allowed to continue. And I think they bought Tobias just to show how strong Ash's Sceptile was because I think that was Sceptile's most remarkable battle. It was this battle that earned Sceptile popularity and a spot in Ash's strongest Pokemon rankings.

dude give me a break it was my first region, I'm sure you probably think the first gen you played is the best, also the definition of region is an area, especially part of a country or the world having definable characteristics but not always fixed boundaries, I'm pretty sure that would mean alola is defo a region

To be fair winning a trip to go somewhere is a typical trope in anime can't blame them if that's the reason they went to alola.

The guy who comments shitty memes on videos 101
      1. He and Kukui use a Z-move again, and Ash just won.
      2. You can’t use a Z-move again after it has been use recently at the same battle.
Can we call Ash a champion for something he did not do at the final blow with Pikachu? Another battle, can the sametinget happen again? Do you? Without Tapu koko?

BOTH ASH AND KUKUI USED A Z-MOVE TWICE AND THE SOLE FACT IT'S POSSIBLE IN THE GAMES AND THEY SAID ITS POSSIBLE IN THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE SERIES MAKES YOUR WHOLE ARGUMENT BULLSHIT.

In all honesty, I'm late on this, but I feel the Sinnoh league should of been the #1 worst, since the random trainer ash faced had legendary pokemon on his team, which clearly gives trainers no fair matches since legendaries are op in general.

Before blaming tobias that ash lost the league .they had to make paul team weaker so ash can win .other than his electivire , pauls torterra ,urasring and magmortar are freaking strong they have to remove them from the league so ash can win against paul
