Glad to be a subscriber to this channel and I hope to see it continue to grow. I enjoy watching your videos. It's very clear that you are very passionate not only about wrenching, but passing on the information and training you've learned in your experiences with your students and the rest of the world. There's a plethora of educational/how-to videos on RUclips but I feel many of them are generic. On the other hand, your content is very in-depth and meticulous and you spend a lot of time actually explaining why or how something works as opposed to just showing what it is. Thanks again for taking the time to share your knowledge with your viewers. Best Regards, P.S. Keep Wrenchin!!!

Great tool yessss can’t agree more with you. I work on Goldwings and thermostat housing is in way deep, using pressure on system and small micro flashlight is the way to see them leak far far in deep. Many time all I see si smoke or fog . Pressurizing system is the way to go .

No need to google the conversion, the inner scale on the MityVac is in kPa and 1 bar is 100kPa. The cap is 1.1 bar or 110kPa! For some reason Japanese manufacturers love the 'Bar' even though it's not an SI unit of measurement. Simplification, smaller numbers who knows? Anyhows LOVE your vids Shane!

I have a 2000 drz400s 6 thousand miles. When riding normally, coolant will push into the overflow. Even on a short 15 min ride. Not a lot and doesn't over flow out of the overflow, about slightly less then half way. Then as it cools the coolant returns to the radiator leaving just the lower portion of the overflow with small amount of coolant. In your opinion is this normal, I've burped the system, all seems fine, I do not think it has any air in the system. I just got the bike so I'm going through it. I also know the thermostat is opening and closing as I ran it with cap off and allowed some air bubbles to escape. I can see when it opens and coolant flows through. Ty in advance
@@How2Wrench Yes good technical info. May some more info: Cross bike use 1,3 ( moreover 1,6) cups to inrease boiling point, reduce wieght, size. Also in F1 was a trend.

You’re a great teacher! Showing both examples of working vs not working really builds confidence 👍
I appreciate that!

I got the that tool but had a rough time using it with a 2005 Triumph Tiger 955i. Could not get a good seal
If cap OK and system problem not fixed, than check radiator cap surface codition.
I mention that actually. Thank you for confirming as another pro! Its all in the details right?
