Hi Alex, I have a great love of photography and have a Sony A7riii and just buying the 17-28 & 28-75 lenses and know a moderate to almost advanced amount re photography. I have seen lots of RUclips videos but for some feedback your uploads are brilliant as you step us into your thinking re composition together with the options to better the effects plus your passion. I never have written to anyone on RUclips but it's great to acknowledge great work. I live in Sydney and would love to have the New York City street scapes to shoot. I have seen one of your videos but intend to closely review all your uploads. Well done. PS who knows, I might look you up if I'm ever in NYC.....
@@AlfieArcidiacono Hey, thanks for the supportive comment! I know there is still a lot to improve in my videos (since I used to only shoot photos) but I'm trying to share my craft with others and inspire people to go shoot! Your kit sounds awesome and should cover you for 99% of shots. Maybe throw in a 35 or 50 prime for low light and subject isolation!
@@azvisuals I have a Sony 50mm f1.8 which is superb for now. I know it's common practice to see a lot of professional photographers with prime say 35mm & 85mm lenses. You're not doing bad thus far Alex...You 'thinking out aloud' as we see you looking for the perfect street composition and subject to move into frame is your secret sauce then to see your image fyi...
Interesting to see how you really have to be patient and capture the right moment. Your videos are getting clearer! I like that you circled points of interesrb
This is a great video! It’s so refreshing to actually see content focused on using the tool and not the gear itself. Almost too many fanboy videos these days talking about specs etc. thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you for this video. I learned that you have to wait for the right photo. You also have to have the idea of the picture in your mind so you know what you are looking for.
your doing great NYC looks a cool place to do some photography that looks a nice lens I have a 16 to 35 mm Zeiss F4 I use a lot on a A7r2 body happy shooting......
Alex! These videos are fantastic for new photographers like myself. I just received my a6100 and am trying to figure out how all the manual settings work together, as well as all the other aspects of photography. Thank you for the content you put out!
Thanks for the kind words! The a6100 is a great camera and will take you far. I plan on creating some videos about shooting manual because it's really not too difficult once you understand the basic concepts!
Thanks for the kind words! I just started RUclips and I know the quality isn't as good as it could be, so I'm always trying to improve my videos ☺️ I'm glad you enjoyed
Hey Alex, this was so awesome! You have a great eye for proper light and composition. One tip is to lower the camera on your talking head portion as there is too much white space above you. Keep up the great work!
Hi Alex, I thought you did really well and inspired me to go out again on a dedicated photo walk soon! It would have been great if you had thrown up your settings for each shot on the screen. That would be very interesting. I also own the Tamron 17-28 f2.8 and am blown away by how sharp it is.
Wow thanks for your comment and feedback! I'm so happy to hear that. I am still new at this RUclips stuff so I appreciate your suggestion. I will try to add settings to all my videos so people can learn more from these vids. But I agree, the 17-28 is insanely sharp and is an awesome lens.
Nice video, thinking about getting this lens for an upcoming Japan vacation. Also like the muted look of the pics, did you use a certain preset or mind sharing settings?
Hey thanks! It is a great travel lens for landscapes and cityscapes! I edited the photos to my own style. You can view some of my editing tutorials on my channel to see my workflow.
You're really good at this. I don't think it's circumstantial that you live in NYC and you're getting shots like that, I think it's a well polished skill that's giving you these shots. Anyway, thinking of buying this lens for a certain street photography project, but don't know which direction I should go: wide or tele. Anyway, video was helpful. Don't give up and keep grinding.
I liked the one at 4:07 the best. You could use a GoPro chest mount gimbal for even better in between video, you could hyperlapse that too... that’s one of my better ideas i might try that 🙂. Nice video brother. Plenty of keepers there 👌
@@azvisuals I loved the fact that you were walking and explaining your views on the image you were about to take and then you showed the final image. I love the Sony a7 III. Perhaps it could be interesting to use different lenses and explain the pros and cons of them.

would subscribe if you show before after photos.. dont understand why people show only the edited one. showing the before and after is so much more interesting
Thanks for your feedback. Editing is a huge part of photography and its what separates my style from the thousands of other photographers. I will make editing videos to show the before/after shots.
Is it just me or are these photo walk BTS/POV style videos super addicting!
