Like all the springs you run across on your adventures...
Maybe 4 years ago some friends and I found this area on a dual sport ride. The plaque shown at 8:09 mentions G.W. Decker and that sounded familiar. Through some ancestry research I found he was my 3x great grandpa. Lots of cool roads to ride around there.
Good to hear from you sir. Sounds like you are an Ozark's native as well. I hope to see you out there some day.. Thanks for watching and keep safe out there... :)
Another excellent video of our beautiful Ozark region... you are giving me ideas about places I need to visit. 😁
Goo to hear sir... Thanks.... :)
Thank you for another great Tiger video! I have yet to get mine off road, your video will help me overcome that!
Thats good to hear sir... Thanks... :)
@Rick Simpson Hey Rick, I have not done the heated seat or grip insert so I really cant help you out there. I hope that all works out to your satisfaction... Thanks Sir.... :)
Enjoy your videos. I live in the Ozarks too. Ride an Africa Twin. Maybe we will cross paths someday.
Good to hear from you sir, I hope to see you out there soon..... Thanks... :)
Opening scene looks to be black canyon national park in Colorado, when we’re you there ?
I live 15 miles from black canyon now but use to live 4 miles from turner’s mill ( in this video ) on the gravel road to it, that’s what led me to your video and it’s ironic to see black canyon in it as well.
Cheers !
Great to hear from you sir... it really is a small world it would seem. I believe I shot that footage at Black Canyon back in 2016 or 2017... don't remember for sure. It sounds as though you like to live in beautiful places for sure.... Have yourself an awesome holiday season and thanks for watching... :)
Im surprised that you dont own one tenere 1200 sir...to put fjr and tenere next to each other in the garage would be awesome!
Tenere is a great bike too!
yes sir, I considered the Super Tenere but wound up going with the Tiger 800XCx for its lighter weight and 21 inch front wheel. The Super Tenere is an awesome machine but a bit heavier than what I was after.... Thanks sir.... :)
How safe do you think it would be to drink the water directly out of that spring coming out of the bluff near the end of your video?
Hello sir... nice handle... Spring water here in the Ozarks is not safe to drink. The limestone that makes up out bedrock is extremely porous and fractured. It is easy for surface water to get into the spring channels. The caves and passages that the spring water travels through have mud pockets and often have wildlife in them as well. It probably would not hurt you to drink it.. the early settlers did but occasionally they would have sickness from bad water. Thanks for watching... keep safe out there.... :)
@@ozarksbackroads5484 Thanks for the reply. I live fairly close to the Irish Wilderness area and was thinking about planning a hike there later this Spring.
My wife and I have been discussing moving up that direction in the next year or so. I'm taking some time off work next month and wanting to take a ride around Arkansas and enjoy some backroads on my GSA. Any routes you'd recommend?
Hello sir, good to hear from you. I believe the areas around the Buffalo River around Jasper and Ponca Arkansas offer some of the finest riding and most scenic areas in all of the Ozarks. I always recommend those areas to people who want to experience the best the Ozarks has to offer. Enjoy your adventures, thanks for watching and keeps safe out there.... :)
Great ride John! Do you keep your routes on any riding app like REVER or anything else? I would love to ride to some of the places you visit when I am over your way. Ride Safe!
Hey there sir, I do not keep any maps I just use google maps on my phone. This video was a visit to the Turner Access on the Eleven Point River in Oregon County Missouri. You can google it to get there.. it is a very remote scenic area for sure..... Thanks sir.... :)
What kind of drone do you have?
Helo there Angela, I am using the Altel Evo here.... thanks for the comments..... :)
