Just bought a lifetime subscription to Babel… to learn Swedish. (Norwegian or Danish might be next… ) I had been thinking about it for a while but “Grimm’s ad” in your video pushed me to have another look at their site and the deal was just too good to pass up.
I always dreaming to love in a calm place like yours. Full of snow and very calm surround u. By the way, I wanna say this from long ago.... I love your cabin and it's very inspiring me to have like yours 1 day. It's so cozy and homey.
Cecelia, I realized you are the human equivalent of Grim. Always happy and full of joy for a new day and going outside. This is your appeal. It’s lovely!
The storytelling, editing and low key presentation on this channel is absolutely next level. Thank you Cecilia, Christoffer and Grimm for giving us a glimpse of your slice of heaven, an area that most of us never knew before you and probably will never visit but enjoy living vicariously through your family
Cecilia, hello from Canada! I came here to say exactly this! I’m new to your channel, Cecilia, and really enjoying your stories and life on Svalbard. Please continue to share your wonderful stories! ❤️
Length of video isn’t as important as content. The content today was full and left me wanting more. Which is the goal. Excellent job giving glimpses into life in Longyearben and Svalbard! It’s fascinating to me that babies nap outside…and that’s normal for your part of the world! I’m sure there are other things. Your channel is the best and I’m thankful I stumbled across it. You do a great job! It’s good to see more of Christoffer, too.
Your videos are always a treat to watch. Your soothing voice and the stunning scenery, along with the gentle music, create a perfect harmony. They help me relax and sleep well at night
I love your summer videos, but the autumn into polar night videos are like soul fooood. I love them. I get a bit of seasonal depression and incorporating your videos into my self care in the winter makes it so much nicer!!! ❤🎉
My day started a little rough, but it brightened as soon as I heard your voice! I thought ,"Geez, I really like her, I wish we could be friends."Cecilia you are such a warm , interesting and funny person. I really love your videos, you make this tropical beach lover want to explore the artic. You help me to find the beautiful in everyday. Keep being you, and thank you for sharing! 💛
I love the polar night season! I started to watch your videos at this time of the year in 2021. Coming to my 3rd Christmas with you guys, you always crack me up on that livestream, Cecilia.
@@CeciliaBlomdahlYes I as well, a great appreciation of another part of our great big world with the most wonderful couple... yes, yes Grimmmm we love you too. For all your happy viewers, keep up the amazing sharing of such a spy place. ❤❤❤
Thank you, Cecelia, for showing Svalbard. I found your channel a couple of months ago and have been enjoying it immensely. My family and I have been struggling with winter the last few years and watching your videos is giving me ideas on how we can appreciate the dark and snowy months again. Hope you, Christoffer, and Grim have an amazing day.
I don't comment often but I watch religiously. Knowing there was going to be a video from you got me out of bed this morning. Thanks to you, Christoffer, and Grim ❤
Really liked your extra goofy vibe thus video 'you're not in a bad mood. You're in a good mood. So, think about that for a minute' 😆. I'm gonna say that to my husband when he's cranky.

I just love your voice, Cecilia. So comforting,... I could listen to you speak all day long. You ever thought about doing audio books? Ha ha. Cheers....
Growing up in Minnesota ( America’s most northern state) I love colder, gloomy days. I love the coziness of indoor twinkle lights and snuggling under blankets, turning the heater off at night and sleeping with the window open (even when it’s -30 zero!) not a big fan of summer so my Russian/German heritage fits me just fine.
It's not gloomy! Its simply divine! Here in Australia, we are 1 month into spring, so lots of windy days that are cool but the sun sure is hot when the wind isn't around. Thanks for the tip on the cheapest time of year to come to Svalbard. It's definitely on my bucketlist.
That was fun. Christoffer is getting so much more comfortable in front now, such a co-host 😊 I'm from Calgary, Canada, so it won't be long until I'm seeing the same weather ❤ you look out the window, I go to Banff, check it out, I'm sure you would love the views, and know why I love your home too. Roll on polar nights with all the cozy vibes 😊
In Dutch "smak" describes a sound you make with your lips and "smakken" (which is the verb of "smak") means clapping the lips or tongue when eating and drinking!
I just love watching your videos, your so lucky living in such a magical place. Feels a million miles away from the troubles of the world, there seems to be an amazing feeling of peacefulness. Grim is awesome 😊 . ❤😊 xx
Cecilia thank you for helping me each Fall and Winter see the dark days with so much more wonder and comfort. Living in Northern Illinois we are entering shorter days and frost at night. I have decorated my home with more candles and string lights because of you! ❤
Whenever I am watching your videos, this is what you call "Bring your own sunshine wherever you".I wanna experience life there in Svalbard but I am not sure how long could I live there.I
"Gjetost" is what we called brown cheese when I stayed with relatives in Trondheim, Norway. I was not a fan of it on its own, as I just don't prefer goat cheese or milk. However, I would definitely eat the heart shaped Scandinavian waffles with Ski Queen, sour cream, and jam! I would eat everything you tasted, and might pick up some Ski Queen in Minneapolis, next time my relatives ask me to bring them some specialty Norske meat. (I was eating pickled herring with crackers and Lingonberries in yogurt just today!)
I'm so glad i found this channel. I live in southern Italy, where the weather is completely different, rarely too cold and very often too hot. It snows maybe once every 10 or 15 years and it barely even sticks. I enjoy Svalbard crispiness vicariously through your videos. I just LOVE them, and I can't wait for polar night to start! Please make LOTS of polar night videos!
Yay…Polar night is on it’s way! Your attitude and embrace of winter & P.N. has helped me to embrace the five months of subzero cold & darkness at 45°N 93°W. Thanks, Cecilla, Christopher & Grim(the wonder pupper)✌🏼
@tshelby5212 I live in the twin cities metro, and I can assure you it gets subzero about a month out of the year. A year or two ago, it was -30 Fahrenheit with a wind chill of -60 for a few days.
Hi Cecilia, I just came across your channel.and am greatly enjoying it. I'd hoped to do a Northern Lights trip 10 years ago but was prevented by urgent back surgery. Svalbard was not on the itinerary as the trip was in December. I didn't realise that it would have been polar night so all dark. The colours of your vids are amazing. Thanks for sharing your life with Christoffer & Grim with us. I don't know whether I'll ever make it to Norway now due to mobility issues so this is great. Thanks for mentioning the brown goats cheese. I was introduced to it as a child in Singapore by Norwegian neighbours and just loved it. We're about to go into a long hot Aussie summer here while you're wearing your winter woolies etc.
Visiting Svalbard is definitely a must for me. This time last year, I was on a ship touring the Antarctic and landed in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. I'm eager to see Longyearbyen so that I can add the northernmost city in the world to my bucket list.
Enjoyed this video. Cecilia you were in rare form in this video, lol but loved it. You show just how much you love your village when most would shy from it or possibly be less enthusiastic due to the polar nights and no sunshine. I would never think about going to a place where there is this much snow. However, you just changed my mind. The tranquility of Svalbard seems so relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. Maybe someday my husband and I will visit with our husky in your area.
So nice to see what you were doing on Friday afternoon in Longyearbyen - and yes, how cute was Grimm with his glasses on!!! I can sense your excitement at moving into the winter season Cecilia and I completely get that! Although not such a dramatic change in the UK - we are now moving into autumn so getting the jumpers ready and stockpiling the firewood!
I bought your cookbook last week and everything looks so unique and yummy. I still have to make a recipe. Christoffer should have his own food stall with all his amazing recipes 🤩
We enjoy you and Christoffer and Grim too Cecelia ( from Ottawa, Canada). We are travelling now but when home one of the first things we will do is search for your newly posted videos! Cecilia, I found you on Tic Toc and then discovered your weekly ,longer content on RUclips. My husband and I LOVE your content. So restful, relaxing yet informative and seeing a different way of life. We watch you every week, just like a regular television show. 😊 OK, now to the important stuff, I Love the coat and top you are wearing at the beginning of this video!! I must have them! I just love Cristofer, his humor is right up my alley..you guys are just polar opposite and are so cute together..you have some of the best video on YT, just love them,,such a beautiful place
The drone footage of the mountains with the buildings below looks like a negative image. The red roof of one building helps to orient that it isn't. I think I have been looking at too many negatives lately to notice this. Beautiful as always.
"Sarma" is a traditional food in my home country, Romania (I guess in all Eastern Europe &Turkey). With every video I watch on your channel I am one step closer to buying a plane ticket to Svalvard 😂❤
I have visited Svalbard twice for photography trips. I was absolutely enchanted by the village and atmosphere. I hung out in a cafe/ yarn shop, a coffee shop, and loved the general store, mall area. Everyone was welcoming and kind. Watching your videos makes me want to return for a longer stay. I love your posts!
Your such a trick Cecilia.....love this Video and yummy food. Incredible beauty in this place. You, Christoffer and Grim are so happy and content....rare these days! 😊❤xxoo
That moon view was amazing. Almost unreal. That food looked marvelous. Yes a well spent $60. When I retire I would like to spend six months there from July to November. Don’t know how much it would be but I need to start saving now. Hopefully in five years I will be there.
Love your videos!!! Look forward to them each week. I don’t mind that the weather is gloomy. I live in Michigan. The weather is gloomy all winter here in Michigan. We measure how much we see the sun for months in minutes!!! Today is a beautiful fall day and the sun is shining but it will not stay like that. November will come soon enough and so will the gray days. Cannot wait for the Polar nights videos. I have been with you since your channel was very small and I love Polar nights!!!❤❤❤
Your enthusiasm and joie de vivre is contagious! Thank you for sharing it with us! You cheer me up and make me appreciate my life more. Love you so much ♥️
I stayed up til midnight in Australia waiting for your new video! Beautiful as always. I can't get Svalbard out of my mind. Thank you Cecilia for telling us about the Ski Queen cheese, I will order some.
I remember it was the beginning of Polar Night 2022 when I started following this channel. So lovely to have come around full circle on Svalbard, and so eager to go around again 😌
"Grimm, you making it sound like you are having a really bad day, but you are actually having a very good day. Think about that for a service" 🤣😆🤣 I laugh because this is a conversation I sometimes have with one of my cats. 🤣💜
I'm not sure how I stumbled upon your page, but I am absolutely loving your videos! Such beautiful scenery, it looks so peaceful. I would love to see the Northern Lights in person.
I love snow! I would agree with you. It’s very calming for me. The stillness , the beauty. My favorite thing to do it walk around outside after freshly fallen snow and breathe in the air.
Loved your 'very beige today' comment. You looked like winter models in the perfect photo-shoot setting. The smashing cream coat, Cecilia and both coordinating with great knit hats!
Cecilia, I happened upon your channel and I totally LOVE it! Thank you Cecilia, Christoffer and Grim for sharing your lives with us! You live in such a unique and beautiful place on earth!!!!❤
Short, but sweet and fun. The glimpse into village festival life & culture was a real treat (& it appears - so was the food!). I already can't wait for the next one with its winter preparations for the approaching season. You & your little family & circle of friends have truly brought Svalbard to life in a way which manages to invite the viewer into sharing its unique set of delights and challenges. And your talent both in front of & behind the camera (along with your superb narrative skills) are outstanding & just continue to get better & better.
I get cold just watching your videos. It’s wonderful that you love where you live. I love my mild winters, forests, and farmlands of my rural Indiana USA.
It's crazy that I didn't know what you were saying during the Babble segment, but seeing it on your phone it's super close to the English and so I knew what it was. So interesting!
Your world is just so fascinating, I love it and I love how you present it 🤍. I love how your clothing colours complimented the scenery today, maybe that was intended maybe not. But it was nice. The babies taking a nap 🥹
Hello from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦. I found your channel a few months ago and I fell in love ❤️. Fantastic video today. Thank you so much for sharing. Take care.
FYI, stark means plain, unadorned and often sharp and monotone so you were quite correct. You all looked very smart in your coordinated cream outfits including Grim.
Last week I was in Colorado at the Rocky Mountain National Park on vacation. We had stopped at a pull off to sightsee. I saw a woman with a Svalbard sweatshirt on!! I was so excited I had to ask her if she visited Svalbard! And, yes indeed she had gone on a cruise! It was really nice to chitchat about it with her! I’ve been watching you for a few years and thoroughly enjoy you, Christopher and Grimm. Love your videos! Thank you for sharing your very unique life! ❤️
I never knew you had this many local events. How awesome!!! It looks great!!!! I also love the look of happiness on your face when you are with Grim and Christopher.
I live vicariously through you, living there, and what would probably be my ideal winter climate. The dry cold. If it’s damp and cold, it’s so cold it to leaks into your bones. But when it’s dry cold, it’s just crisp and fresh and beautiful. Please enjoy it a little extra for me today. 🖖♥️🥰

Grim in glasses is too adorable!!! I love your videos. It's so interesting to learn more about your polar small town
I remember it was the beginning of Polar Night 2022 when I started following this channel. So lovely to have come around full circle on Svalbard, and so eager to go around again 😌
So excited to see flurries there!! ❄️❄️❄️
Christopher”I don’t know what it means but it looks very Stark” LOL 😂🤣 “Stark”: severe or bare in appearance or outline.
Love this valley and those mountains to the right with the strange triangular formations.
I’m so jealous, they way you eat so much and look so fabulous!
"This is my favorite viewpoint. We've made waffles here!" - it made mi chuckle for some reason
haha!
This is gorgeous! A couple days ago, it was 28c here in Oregon....in OCTOBER!!!! It's cooled down to normal temps now.
I would absolutely love to come to Svalbard! Every week I tell my husband I’m going to my cozy place.
Your world is just so fascinating, I love it and I love how you present it 🤍. I love how your clothing colours complimented the scenery today, maybe that was intended maybe not. But it was nice. The babies taking a nap 🥹
I've been watching the coverage from Isreal . You , friend are a much needed mental meditation. Thank you for sharing your serinty .
Hello from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦.
I found your channel a few months ago and I fell in love ❤️. Fantastic video today. Thank you so much for sharing. Take care.
Beautiful just beautiful, no other words can describe svalbard😍
One day i will live there!
FYI, stark means plain, unadorned and often sharp and monotone so you were quite correct.
You all looked very smart in your coordinated cream outfits including Grim.
Your videos bring me endless joy and i find them so therapeutic. Thanks for being yourselves Christofer, Cecilia and Grim❤
Grim is so cute. What a good boy!
I’d love to see places that, for me, would make Svalbard “homelike”. The two that come to mind would be any churches and definitely the library.
I love how Cecilia can transfer that warm fuzzy, arctic feeling through her videography and ediiting. I wish to feel that arctic feeling soon!
