Brilliant example of what can be achieved if the government in question of this region is not corrupt and not siphoning off the aid provided with corruption! What a brilliant achievement and so wonderfully achieved in such a short span of time! Well done!!! I'm si very heartened to see such positivity and growth!! Awesome! !!

@@ivannovotny4552 --Thank God, no ill will befell your parents, while raising their 2 kids, because they would have ended up like these poor parents, and people would say, why have 2 kids when you can't feed them? Tell you a story I saw in Cambodia. A few hundreds of people lived on, and owned, a great piece of fertile land, in their family for hundreds of years by the sea. You step from their huts into the sea. These uneducated people had no idea there was even a government, they fully sustained themselves. Fruits trees , vegetables ,abound. They fished sustainable for fish and turtles, all the kids were healthy. Then the current President's sister and a group, visited and tricked the people to place their thumb on a piece of paper, next thing you know the land was '''sold'''. The cash they gave them only lasted 2 months. Last time I saw them, some where relocated on a barren piece of land, hundreds of miles away, the others lived on the streets begging with their kids, some of the men took to drink. Guards with guns stopped them from fishing. Know what is growing there now? A five star hotel. The rich, so few with so much, and the poor, so many with nothing. I meant no disrespect by my question, everyone is born for a reason, nature takes care of it's own. There is always room for one more, precious kid

First of all according to world bank only 15 percent of the population of India lives below poverty line.
Most of the Indians about 1 billion are in lower middle class and not poor. Goldman Sachs even projects that India will have a massive economic growth and rise of GDP per capita in the next 30 years to become the third largest economy.
Moreover this video has not shown anything negative to insult India. See it properly.
Sikkim state of India in the northeast Himalayas near to China is one of the cleanest, most literate and developed parts of India where farmers practice green farming. See the video properly. The picture of the capital city of Sikkim, Gangtok is shown it doesn't look wretched at any angle.

The only way I can explain rationally why the farmers live far away from water sources or where there is insufficient ground water, and still use oxen for plowing fields, is the class structure. In particular, the only explanation is the upper castes did not allow them to. Just to keep the differential intact of them having to toil and you don't.

    Few questions:
    1) could it be that the majority of people in Sikkim are scheduled tribes, or not upper caste, that has maybe contributed to a slightly greater improvement?... casteism, prejudice, and discrimination maybe are less.
    2) could it also be due to Sikkim's lower population that has contributed to more noticeable results?
    3) could it also be that the government of Sikkim is 'smaller' compared to that of other states?
I am curious as Sikkim may not have that level of disparity as elsewhere in India, but get the train and development in Sikkim, and you will see it emerge. It will bring more corruption and related.
Things to ponder...how to manage growth?
