With more than 1.1 billion people living in India, space is limited and money is scarce. More than 410 million people live in poverty in India, and the slums are known for its harsh conditions. However, more than 75% of those below the poverty line live in rural areas, and not cities. What is the way out of rural poverty? And is India’s government doing anything to help?
