I think you're onto something about the smaller megapixel sensor with a 16X9 format. However, we might not get the 16X9 format if vertical formats are popular. Eventually, people will regret ever shooting in vertical format when mobile devices move to either virtual reality, hologram or projection that matches the format we naturally see in (unless we evolve to where our eyes are stacked vertically).
I used to be friends with a guy involved professionally in video production for 30 years. He has done everything from commercials for MTV and CNN to documentaries. I wish my Sony A57 didn't die, I had a 16-250mm lens for that thing and I took it everywhere until it just stopped working. It's such a fun range. I got a lot of wildlife shots on that thing and even if it was chunky, it was such a good time. I want that range again
@@briandipierro8865Yeap that's even better than the 24-240mm RF from canon. Indeed it's incredibly versatile and can do almost anything. I wasn't expecting it to be good for filming though. I bought just a week ago a Nikon coolpix A. After restoring it and cleaning the sensor I was astonished about the sharpness and quality of the pictures straight out of camera. The AF might be sluggish, however, the entire package with viewfinder is so stealthy, that is allows for very candid photography. Let’s look back to find real cameras and not these hybrid video recorders taking pictures. All these features are not needed 😅
Hello Kasey!! You ARE aware that a few models of Red Digital Cinema Cameras record 240fps at 4K and have very high dynamic range, right??? ☺️))) Is the “issue” that you want 240fps at 4K in a small mirrorless body without overheating and for less than 2.000,00 USD??? 😅)))
I don't know why anyone spends triple digits on old compact point-and-shoots unless they're the ones with the 20x-40x optical superzooms. Any time I want a new-to-me old point-and-shoot camera, I just go to a Value Village thrift store, spend $10 Canadian on the camera and then spend another $15 Canadian or so getting a battery and charger from Amazon. I know I'm rolling the dice with any Value Village camera considering they're not even guaranteed to work but I've only been disappointed once and it was with a basically toy-type camera that I got in a bag in the toy section for only around $2 anyway.
I have a Nikon D850 DSLR - a photo camera that also does video. I hate it and like it at the same time. Takes decent video, decent slo-mo, but no autofocus, the audio recording is quite unimpressive, and it creates MASSIVE filesizes that makes your video editing software completely crap its pants and die.
When I was younger, I couldn't picture myself as a serious photographer, but now I am putting serious effort into developing that ability. I think it was because I wasn't in the right frame of mind and maybe had problems with discovering what material I wanted to photograph, it turned out the food stuffs like bread and other baked goods were just to grainy for my taste. An art teacher, Gary Low, told me I had problems focusing and that if I kept on flashing in public I would end up in jail. I changed my ways but still, as I am out in public, I often have to resist the urge to burst.
you know MFT was the perfect form factor for Video. You could get a 16-20MP sensor for good dynamic range. Small enough that the IS was out of this world. I wish Panasonic would put out a successor to the G9 with Dual Pixel AF. That would be about the perfect EDC Camera. But outside of EDC Camera, I'm sure you have learned by now, that the perfect camera depends on your use case. There is no 1 perfect depending on use, right? Perfect landscape camera isn't the perfect video camera, vs Sports or wildlife photography etc.
I’ll take the C70 as a webcam even further, my C70 sits in a dedicated teleprompter style box with beamsplitter glass to mirror an entire 24 inch monitor (invert the monitor image with a Decimator MD-HX to get a proper image that I see from beamsplitter) and then put my meetings on that monitor. I’m looking at the meeting, and they see me looking directly at them, not like 98% of other folks in online meeting where we’re either looking up their nostrils or at the sides of their face…
Old gear doesn't equal bad. The oldest digital camera I use was released in 2008. It still has better IQ than any new camera (within its limitations such as low ISO). For analogue I use cameras from the 1970s and onwards. You just have to know what quality is. If you get quality, it never goes old.
I stick with Leica. It’s a camera that is just in its own lane. Nobody seems to just poop on it and if they do, it’s mostly people who weren’t able to keep one.
What's the lens used in the first part 2:57? I like that I can see the background and it's not blurry, unlike the later part 6:13 where the background is so blurry it does not look nice at all. Like why do we blur the background here? It's a nature landscape background, it's beautiful, with all the trees and the lake. Why blur it? Why bring us to the lake and then hide it from us?
I keep my old pentax K3😢😢 with f4/ 300mm and 1.4 multiplier for wildlife and f2.8/100mm for macro under tropical wet conditions then my pentax K1 with old sigma 21-35 manual focus for landscape ...and for video I bought last month a Pixelpro 7 ....What else?

Your like the modern Seinfeld of cameras….but funny on your own without a sidekick like Kramer.
You are the voices inside my head when I do LSD and go outside for some shoots
Caviar on Spam What? No... I mean no... Puked on my Sony FX30 when you said that man.
Somehow those rowers are even bigger nerds than you. Or even us, watching videos about a nerd watching nerds on a boat.
Why the hell i'm watching this. 😅 Something meditative in your videos, for sure.
It was a dark sunny day
best 3d pop ever!
I want a camera that can Taze people who walk in frame uninvited, now that would be funny 🤣
Now that I have my new linen pants, I need a camera. Used Panasonic S5 mk1 is dirt cheap these days. Anything better for under 900€?
I didn't know dragon boats were a thing in Toronto.
Take a load of this nerd!
i need 6k raw 180p
In 16 bit
Old gear doesn't equal bad. The oldest digital camera I use was released in 2008. It still has better IQ than any new camera (within its limitations such as low ISO). For analogue I use cameras from the 1970s and onwards. You just have to know what quality is. If you get quality, it never goes old.
What's that 2008 camera with better IQ than any new one?
@@viezure10 Sony A900
You rolled through all the interruptions on this one.
spreading positive vibes in this video 💕
I stick with Leica. It’s a camera that is just in its own lane. Nobody seems to just poop on it and if they do, it’s mostly people who weren’t able to keep one.
I need to know what sucks about the new osmo action 4!
