scratch is a kid's programming language for teaching kids how to code, not a professional game engine. of course there are tutorials out there that hand-hold you through the whole process. 99% of people starting off on the platform have never even touched programming before, and so things such as loops and move blocks are a mystery to them. i dislike the scratch team just as much as the next person, but i feel like calling their tutorials for teaching kids meaningless is a little far lol
It's funny how it's easier to make a pvp pong game than a lonely pong game because you can just make the ball point to another sprite when it bounces instead of doing something stupid
