As the man who speaks in hands from an au that went from a chill place to an absolute hell. I can say this experiment, is truly a wonderful Au I have ever seen.
This also sucks, it's just some self insert thing. The creator of this Cleary just hated people doing genocide playthroughs sp they made this comic where this "super awesome scary but also nice hacker person, stops all the mean players from being evil" it's just as if not more cringey than every other undertale comic or animation. In fact, you comparing it to Manga is hilarious because that's pretty much the cringiest you can go. I don't like undertale that much but I know for one thing that sans is the hardest boss in the game, and that he can remember things you do in other saves, so can flowey. So it makes sense why people make him so strong, it's because he is. The people who make these comics have all played undertale and most likely fought sans or have seen someone fight him, so they make sans super strong. The way he acts in alot of these comics is pretty realistic. It's one of the only times where the "im super nice, but dont make me mad" character isn't cringey, because in the game sans hints at being secretly really dangerous. And he only ever reveals his "bad side" when you kill literally everyone. Him being secretly really strong is part of his character and surprise in the game.
Also judging by your profile picture I guarantee you like way cringier things than undertale, atleast with undertale the game itself isn't super cringy
Gaster just dishes out literal *plot armor* to the timelines, that’s it. He doesn’t argue with player, he doesn’t [FIGHT] or [ACT], he just protect all the timelines and stuff, he earns my respect.

Well guess how Mary Sues started? In self insert Startreck fanfictions where their OC Avatar "piloted" Enterpise on their first day, and make friends with everyone and fell in love with someone important. I kinda like Underplayer because all those fancy stuff they can do means crap and they are as much forced to obey the rules as anybody else. With exeption of Asriel/Flowy but there is a load of fanfics with Asriel back from dead. Edit: Just for a record, The Player is not a Mary Sue. Mary Sue bends laws of universe and common sense, while Player technicaly could do that, they can't because the plot. Yes, they can befriend enyone, but Frisky can do the same in canon, and yes they can break the barrier without souls but because [REDACTED] they can't. They are kinda in "dices were thrown, but we are playing cards" situation.

Wow, I absolutely love this. Putting your own spin on Undertale's timeline jumps and giving the main character traits and motivations that are like what plenty of undertale fans would do if they were in that situation, this is s complete masterpiece amd I'm glad i found this at a time where I'm going through a lot of stress. This is literally a perfect world. A world where Chara and Asriel get a second chance. One where everyone lives. One where the barrier is broken. I wanted some kind of fanfiction about this, so I’m so glad I found this comic. This is cannon to me now.
Something I think is a core of what Toby Fox was asking: agape love. Willing to sacrifice oneself for their friends. In Undertale _we_ grow close to the characters, _we_ are asked to sacrifice our desire to be with them for their happy ending. We’re given the choice to RESET and be with them longer, but that would take away _their_ happy ending (though we could always redo a Pacifist as long as we avoid a Genocide). We’re asked: “will you sacrifice your happiness for your friends’?” Are we ok with getting a perfect ending for everyone… except ourselves?
Sans seeing "PLAYER" soul is like if a 2d character could see our 3d world. It's just too complex and otherworldly. I really like how he's overwhelmed and end up just straight up firing at player.
He fired at the player cuz the player gave him all memories from pacifist neutral and genocide timelines. His last memory was of him dying just like flowey's was begging for his life.
I was watching some tumblr shorts from Bettina Lee and thought "wonder what's popular on this channel" that led me to a nostalgia trip the end of which is here . Undertale was such a big part of my childhood so i feel strangly comfortable right now .

While watching this as a kid, I always thought that this comic was unfinished, due to the unknown outcome of Player VS Gaster fight. However rewatching this later, made me realize that this entire thing is actually complete... a complete loop. Which even Player is unaware of. So basically there's 2 parts of Player's journey. Part 1 (00:00 - 26:00) and Part 2 (26:50 - 44:40). And then there's the transition between the parts (26:00 - 26:40). I honestly have no idea what actually happened during the transition but I'm afraid that there lies the answer to all of what I'm going to talk about. The problem lies in actual continuity of these parts. It seems like these parts are swapped, and not at the same time. In the Part 1 we hear from Player that they promised somebody to always tell the truth because that's what friends supposed to do. And they promised that to the Sans from Part 2! So if Part 1 is supposed to come before the 2, then how exactly did he promised that? Not only that, but the advice Sans from Part 2 gives to Player, is exactly what we see him try to do in the Part 1! Break the barrier at the start, take Reset from the player. So that means Part 2 comes before 1 right? Wrong. Nearing the ending of Part 2 we see Sans talking Player out of resetting everything all over again. And we see him referring to the moment from Part 1, where both Player and Frisk pressed the Reset button. So that would imply that Part 1 comes before 2. The only explanation to that continuity error that I see is that Player's journey is a loop. As we see from Part 3 (44:50 - 47:55) Asriel himself presses the Reset button. Which resets Player's journey back to Part 1. Which explains his promise and actions. However, if we are to believe that Part 1 comes before 2, then that causes a loop, which Player DOES NOT realize. Why is that? I don't know, as the answer is probably in the transition. That transition somehow erases Player's memories, I dunno. However if Part 2 comes before 1, then it becomes even stranger. Then that means that the transition is actually an ending of Player's journey? I seriously don't know what happening there, so I have no idea which one is actually true.
I know it's a month late but I'll try to explain this according to my thinking. PLAYER have done many playthrough, your Part 1 is just one of them. PLAYER tried everything possible, from taking the player's RESET to litterally reviving dead NPC, but the result is PLAYER got kick out from the timeline, and the whole timeline is reset. So when PLAYER refers to the promises with someone, it maybe from his previous experience in his previous timeline. About the Transition, it is just PLAYER trying to continue the story after the ending, but because it is a game, there's nothing after that, and PLAYER is force to go back. So he force his soul to be in the game, to live in Undertale, thinking that he will be able to live with everyone after the plot of the game end. The fight with Gaster isn't actually a fight. PLAYER basicly lock him in a specific worldline, or a FUN value, so he can't interfere with PLAYER's worldline. Also Gaster is the one who do some sort of experiments to kick the player right after the plot end or when the worldline is changed dramatically, so when PLAYER wonders what sent him away, it's probably because of his experiment. That's why we can see PLAYER live with the characters at the end, because Gaster can't interfere with that worldline. (where FUN value is over 100) About Asriel red purple shirt, it's the last worldline before PLAYER move and stay in his own worldline. Asriel once again lost his family, he can't accept the fact that he lost his family to rescue monsters, so he reset. (One more thing is that even when PLAYER has moved to a completely different timeline, with green shirt Asriel, he can still feel the sins crawling because he has left Asriel alone in the previous timeline) That's all of my thoughts and understandings of this AU. Sorry for my bad English and if you have different opinions, or if I'm completely wrong at some points, please let me know.
@@tuanluongngoc9226 There is something I didn’t realize until now. At 40:21 you can see player looks different. Then I realized that this specific part was a continuation of Part 1. After Player’s encounter with Gaster, there was a continuation of Part 2. About the transition, the best way I can describe it is that it is Player wanting to be a part of Undertale. This is proven when Player says “Oh yeah, I’m not controlling frisk right now.” What I mean is that I believe that Part 2 did come before Part 1. This is just what I got, however it seems like it would make the most sense.

This is like where you're enveloped in a fantasy world and you start mentally inserting yourself into the story, but as an omniscient and omnipotent version of yourself, though taken to a whole new level.

I like to think of this as the PLAYER Paradox. In which one seeks out a goal but while doing so, they cannot find their perfect goal, it may be off by a bit, a bit rough around the edges, so the person goes back to the start and tries again and again and again. Repeat until the person is trying so much and so hard that they're hurting themselves. The goal was never attainable, it was never within sight, it was simply there because the person WANTED it to be.
MAN I miss this,,, I LOVED this comic when I was younger and boy does it still hold up like when I was younger I didn't realize ANY of the seriousness in it and loved the silly parts, but evewn now I ADORE what this comic does in the story,,,,,,,

Something I think is a core of what Toby Fox was asking: agape love. Willing to sacrifice oneself for their friends. In Undertale _we_ grow close to the characters, _we_ are asked to sacrifice our desire to be with them for their happy ending.
We’re given the choice to RESET and be with them longer, but that would take away _their_ happy ending (though we could always redo a Pacifist as long as we avoid a Genocide).
We’re asked: “will you sacrifice your happiness for your friends’?”

While watching this as a kid, I always thought that this comic was unfinished, due to the unknown outcome of Player VS Gaster fight. However rewatching this later, made me realize that this entire thing is actually complete... a complete loop. Which even Player is unaware of. So basically there's 2 parts of Player's journey. Part 1 (00:00 - 26:00) and Part 2 (26:50 - 44:40). And then there's the transition between the parts (26:00 - 26:40). I honestly have no idea what actually happened during the transition but I'm afraid that there lies the answer to all of what I'm going to talk about. The problem lies in actual continuity of these parts. It seems like these parts are swapped, and not at the same time. In the Part 1 we hear from Player that they promised somebody to always tell the truth because that's what friends supposed to do. And they promised that to the Sans from Part 2! So if Part 1 is supposed to come before the 2, then how exactly did he promised that? Not only that, but the advice Sans from Part 2 gives to Player, is exactly what we see him try to do in the Part 1! Break the barrier at the start, take Reset from the player. So that means Part 2 comes before 1 right? Wrong. Nearing the ending of Part 2 we see Sans talking Player out of resetting everything all over again. And we see him referring to the moment from Part 1, where both Player and Frisk pressed the Reset button. So that would imply that Part 1 comes before 2. The only explanation to that continuity error that I see is that Player's journey is a loop. As we see from Part 3 (44:50 - 47:55) Asriel himself presses the Reset button. Which resets Player's journey back to Part 1. Which explains his promise and actions. However, if we are to believe that Part 1 comes before 2, then that causes a loop, which Player DOES NOT realize. Why is that? I don't know, as the answer is probably in the transition. That transition somehow erases Player's memories, I dunno. However if Part 2 comes before 1, then it becomes even stranger. Then that means that the transition is actually an ending of Player's journey? I seriously don't know what happening there, so I have no idea which one is actually true.
I know it's a month late but I'll try to explain this according to my thinking. PLAYER have done many playthrough, your Part 1 is just one of them. PLAYER tried everything possible, from taking the player's RESET to litterally reviving dead NPC, but the result is PLAYER got kick out from the timeline, and the whole timeline is reset. So when PLAYER refers to the promises with someone, it maybe from his previous experience in his previous timeline.
About the Transition, it is just PLAYER trying to continue the story after the ending, but because it is a game, there's nothing after that, and PLAYER is force to go back. So he force his soul to be in the game, to live in Undertale, thinking that he will be able to live with everyone after the plot of the game end.
The fight with Gaster isn't actually a fight. PLAYER basicly lock him in a specific worldline, or a FUN value, so he can't interfere with PLAYER's worldline. Also Gaster is the one who do some sort of experiments to kick the player right after the plot end or when the worldline is changed dramatically, so when PLAYER wonders what sent him away, it's probably because of his experiment. That's why we can see PLAYER live with the characters at the end, because Gaster can't interfere with that worldline. (where FUN value is over 100)
About Asriel red purple shirt, it's the last worldline before PLAYER move and stay in his own worldline. Asriel once again lost his family, he can't accept the fact that he lost his family to rescue monsters, so he reset.
(One more thing is that even when PLAYER has moved to a completely different timeline, with green shirt Asriel, he can still feel the sins crawling because he has left Asriel alone in the previous timeline)
That's all of my thoughts and understandings of this AU. Sorry for my bad English and if you have different opinions, or if I'm completely wrong at some points, please let me know.

After Player’s encounter with Gaster, there was a continuation of Part 2. About the transition, the best way I can describe it is that it is Player wanting to be a part of Undertale. This is proven when Player says “Oh yeah, I’m not controlling frisk right now.” What I mean is that I believe that Part 2 did come before Part 1. This is just what I got, however it seems like it would make the most sense.

I like to think of this as the PLAYER Paradox. In which one seeks out a goal but while doing so, they cannot find their perfect goal, it may be off by a bit, a bit rough around the edges, so the person goes back to the start and tries again and again and again. Repeat until the person is trying so much and so hard that they're hurting themselves.
