And the other two created Anime and Hentai. Mexicans were not credited for the ingenuity because you know, Ammerkuh! But a German American scientist was the face of the project because you know, America vs Germany, we had to rub it in their face. Something like this is no surprise, even tech savvy members from these cartel groups are known to hack government systems and find info on Government agents like CIA or FBI deployed in Mexico and kidnap them once they locate the agents, you just won't see it on your everyday news because of the shame it is to National pride

That's why it has the railing on top. One hand on the trigger, one on the rail. You cycle this monster, aim at angle against the lock or the door hinges from three or four meters and let fly. Nevermind the shrapnel and concussion. Many a Brazilian band has especialized in bank truck busting, many a time working in neighbouring countries. There was one hit they did in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, a few years ago. Fifty guys. It turned into a battle. Michael Mann's "Heat"? Rookie numbers in every sense. How about a video on things that inspired you to make firearms. Any books you read that were particularly helpful to you? I share your videos with a lot of my customers and they really love what you do. I definitely enjoyed this video and hope you will make more like this in the future. Good luck and have a wonderful day, you have earned it my friend. 👍
I think for the average viewer you are touching on just the right amount of "nerdy" stuff without boring them. Your analysis is spot on and informative without losing too many people with technical jargon. It definitely seems to be a bolt action firearm of some sort. Either that, or it is a non functioning Frankenstein concept that never made it to fruition and they want to show it off anyway on the table. This is a great photo op and they don't care if the thing can fire a round or not, it looks scary and that's what is most important to them. In these other countries people know even less than Americans do, so they believe whatever they are told about firearms and their capabilities.
Yo B, I really enjoy your videos, especially when you go into the technical aspects of firearms in detail. You also appear to have a pretty nice going on your back wall. I also think I just realized that you design and fabricate items that you are interested in, which I like to do as well. I’m by no means a gunsmith but more like a tinker that likes to figure out how damn near everything works and functions. I have also designed, fabricated and tweaked some designs to my liking that operate beautifully. I see that you put together a pretty nice 50cal on a pod which looks pretty sweet. I’m currently working on converting a rifle caliber pistol into a bullpup rifle and a grenade/flare launcher for pyrotechnics. Both are coming along nicely and look like they have come out of a factory even though they are 1 of a kind mock ups. Bottom line is that I’m self taught and have learned through reading, trial, error and just plain old challenging myself to make something that I want to happen, then follow through. Do you have any advice for me as far as taking what I like to do to the next level or in a certain direction. I’m wondering if I should find others to collaborate with, or possibly working with someone (a gunsmith or an armorer) in an apprentice capacity so that I’m not learning bad habits that might inhibit me in the future, while picking up the solid or best way of doing things. Sorry for the long, long rant but I needed to put it out there. Thanks, Jason
"It's like a real life bolter." Hearing Brandon say this reminds me that even the least nerdy seeming people have heard of Warhammer 40k. It's glorious.
@@AZIONG651 I want President Biden to come onto the stand and say “Our enemies have constructed a weapon more powerful than any before. They call it a Boom Dakka snazz wagon”
Just remember during the 1990s Warhammer 40k was not seen as 'nerdy' at all, it was a common tabletop game loads of kids learned to play. It cost little more than a regular monopoly, cluedo, or game of life box set (probably 1.5 times the cost of Monopoly, as opposed to today when the newest 'Horus Heresy' game costs 8 times the typical cost of a monopoly set), and was perfectly playable and balanced out of the box - one player got twenty marines including two with missile launchers, the other got twenty orks, forty gretchin, and a cardboard dreadnought. There was also 'Space Crusade' (which included 16 space marines with many interchangable weapons including bolters) that was even cheaper than 40k, even more popular than 40k amongst kids, playable by even younger kids, and (completely unlike Warhammer and 40k) had a completely faithful computer conversion made meaning even more people playing it. Space Crusade also was commonly sold in sweet shops, garages, toy stores, bike shops, and places like that, unlike Warhammer games which were only really sold in specialist games shops and GW stores themselves. That is why so many people in their 30s/40s know what a bolter is. Space marines (and their bolters) were just a normal childhood character in the regular games people played back then, the 'nerd' culture and the need to remortgage your house to buy a competitive army did not exist back then.
You already have the best balance between nerdy details and exciting videos. I mean for me they are one in the same. I love the details. But for your over all channel success... I think you are consistently on point.
It's really interesting to see you explain these things, going into detail makes me appreciate it all way more, so that gun passion doesn't stop to "Haha cool boom" but actually teaches me something

The different cool educational type content to the lets just do something ridiculous in the name of science and why the hell not & lets not forget the hilarious meme reviews. You seem to have a way of making all these different types of videos interesting & entertaining.
It's a fishermans measure. The real number is only 2/3 of that. That's a joke, but in all seriousness, maybe 5% of men are beyond 7 inches, so there's no need for exaggeration. Or really any need to mention it at all.
I’d love to see more breakdowns of odd and off-brand guns from pop-culture. (Starship troopers, Aliens, Blade 3) as examples. It would be hilarious and fun to hear your thoughts.
Cartel is more of a colombian and mexican thing, the drug trade mafia is Brazil doesn't operate with the same logic and it changes a lot from regions. In places like Rio they operate in a way closer to a crime militia and in other places in a more shadow way. What I find strange is that criminals can buy a factory-made .50, they don't need to manufacture one even though imported illegal weapons are much more expensive. The only reasons for this weapon to exist would be the intimidation factor that the noise would cause to anyone facing them. On the other hand, this could also indicate the financial decline of those who made it, in which case it would be an improvisation to use the ammunition they had acquired.
Would definitely watch a whole playlist of technical breakdowns like this. Guns are awesome, hearing the technical stuff behind how they work from someone who knows what they're talking about because it's their job to know is even more awesome.
You could make it work today with some physics and engineering knowledge, but that's not what matters, what you want to ask yourself is the end result going to be worth using? Go to your local gym and drop a 30 lb weight in your pants then ask yourself "am I gonna pack this heat running down to taco bell to cap some fellow gangsta?" I think within a few moments you'll realize "no, this is impractical, I don't even want this." That's what you should have taken away from the video.
@@robonator2945 No need for that. Physics shows us that it is possible so it's an engineering problem, not a laws of physics problem. A blowback 50 bmg at a weight light enough to carry around can be done with something like advanced primer ignition. It's just why bother when a locked breach design is even better?
@@wingracer1614 mate, brandon literally did the math for you, a blowback 50 would need a reciprocating mass of well over 30 pounds, no, it's not possible. Even if you did away with the blowback SMG part, do you know how much fucking energy is in a .50BMG? Imagine that much energy being discharged into your body (equal and opposite reactions) several times a fucking second. There is a reason AMRs have bipods, they ain't fuckin comfortable to shoulder fire. The few that you CAN shoulderfire somewhat comfortably, still only hold a handful of rounds and are about as tall as a fucking person. In order for a weapon like this to be physically possible it has to be so different from what's being asked it's not the same request.
I'm betting the guy that has ACTUALLY BUILT a working .50 BMG machine gun, more or less from scratch, is going to be able to understand the difficulties in beating together a working machine gun in this caliber from scrap metal and stuff from the hardware store with hand tools.
OK, this was one of your better ones as far as the comedy routine went, you had me in stitches. But I was mesmerized every time you threw the photograph up; I couldn't take my eyes off the tool kit standing behind the table. Have a great day!
Every once in a while here in Brazil the police comes out of a raid with one of these abominations. There was this one time where they apprehended a giant revolver chambered for 12 gauge, they jokingly called it the "thirty-twelve" because it was basically a comically large .38 style revolver. I mean, the thing was built like a junkyard M32 grenade launcher, but still.
I actually really enjoy technical stuff like this. I knew about half of the reasons you said this wouldn't work before you even started but as someone who knows how guns work and how to shoot them, but not someone who is a gun designer or physics professor, I wasn't thinking about the mass it would take for the bolt. It's always fun learning new things though
This was super cool to see the technical details of what goes into designing the mechanics of cycling. Had no idea the weight was so disproportionate to the round itself. Goes to show how much potential energy is packed into even a tiny round
I like hearing the numbers and math. The comparisons to other weapons also helps to put things in perspective. Entertaining and very informative, I had wondered the reason why open bolt wasn't used on larger calibers.

Wow wow, tone it down a notch with the 40k mentions, most commoners aren't ready to hear the awesomeness or handle the "calibre" of true military sci fi.
On another note: numerous Mexican physicists in the 40's designed the blue prints for the first 3 sizes of bombs during the Manhattan project, one was tested in new Mexicos desert. And the other two created Anime and Hentai. Mexicans were not credited for the ingenuity because you know, Ammerkuh! Personally, I think it's a bolt action door buster. Specifically, an armoured bank truck door buster.
It's either that thing or I need urgent counseling.

Yo B,
I really enjoy your videos, especially when you go into the technical aspects of firearms in detail.

Tbh im sure that someday, somebody is gonna make this gun functional and useable even if it takes years
You could make it work today with some physics and engineering knowledge, but that's not what matters, what you want to ask yourself is the end result going to be worth using? Go to your local gym and drop a 30 lb weight in your pants then ask yourself "am I gonna pack this heat running down to taco bell to cap some fellow gangsta?" I think within a few moments you'll realize "no, this is impractical, I don't even want this." That's what you should have taken away from the video.

@@wingracer1614 mate, brandon literally did the math for you, a blowback 50 would need a reciprocating mass of well over 30 pounds, no, it's not possible.
