btw... this isn't from some random reason. Airdodge cancel item toss has been in the game since melee lol brawl had it too and PM made it silly by letting it boost you in whatever direction you airdodge and making airdodge catch items better iirc
@SkitsPerson Also as a fellow Peach main a great way to get ADC down quicker is quickly tap the shield button right after the first turnip hits count to two real fast and do the 2nd throw you'll notice a rhythm when you throw the turnips to do ADC combos if you air dodge instead of the 2nd throw you timed it to late if you do a dair you did it to early hope that helps.
Whydo made a video with this in it a year ago. Highly recommend watching that video because it's just really well made and also we can all improve our item (counter)play.
From what I’ve heard, adj isn’t actually super useful for rob, lucretio says rob mains found it but didn’t mention anything because they couldn’t find too useful, unlike peach who can take advantage of it more
z-drop into ADC toss is so hard 😵💫 doing it after a throw where you have time to buffer the air dodge is the only way i can use it. maybe i need to switch to a pro controller
This sort of goes into one thing I've been saying for a few years now. I feel like people need to be labbing item combos against item heavy characters. It seems odd to me how bad some pro players are at using items like ROB gyro, Peach turnip, or even Diddy banana. I think ROB gyro is especially important with how common he is and the fact that he throws the gyro to you with it spinning on the ground in front of you if you back dash a little. I feel like a pro player should at least spend a few hundred hours practicing with items no matter who their character is. I'm no pro though, so I could be way off here. But I am a casual player that plays a lot of item focused characters and I've noticed that I'm sometimes better with item play off those character than many pro players I've watched. I feel like I should never feel like I'm better in any aspect of play than a pro as a casual. I feel like ROB would struggle a lot more through bracket if pro players never failed to pick up his gyro and were also able to execute crazy combos with his gyro.
No, you're right. The amount of damage you can do with items is insane for most characters, and if your character doesn't have built-in item counterplay, you want to be able to do something. Even just z dropping gives you the ability to hold on to items, and play keep away. Def something professional players ought to practice.
Has this been something snakes have been doing? I’ve gone from grenade pull into z drop and re-catch the grenade to throw it in whatever direction I want. Is this fundamentally the same with an application, or is this entirely different ?
I think its different for snake since in order to throw normally he has to shield to drop it on the ground then pick it up and throw it so it would be a z catch and throw. I do jump and z at the same time oos to instantly throw with snake all the time but different tech
as a ridley main i feel like this is gonna hurt me more than help me lol, ridley doesn't really have good combo moves and a pretty slow throw so unfortunately i don't think he could get much from this
ohhh ok, i usually z-drop with grab so i guess it's a bit more complex to input than i thought. maybe i'll remember it next time i get the chance though lol, thx@@imESAM
I would love to watch a live stream of an arena with muteace(or any good peach) to practice vsing them in a match. Even if you only got one turnip combo in the video it'd be so cool to see
Beastball combos just became even more insane !!!

I main Rosalina and I am super excited to do this. Rosa is already getting her hands on a ton of items thanks to gravitational pull.
As a Peach main, I feel the need to master all of this, but I don’t think I ever can 😅
Also be float is like the easier version of this (for peach at least)

@@PeachyKeen13 Thank you so much!

As a Link main, all I’m thinking of is a needlessly more complicated and cooler Nair train
it can work, it’s just better on princesses bc float
Exactly❤❤❤❤

Rob's item toss is good, and he seems to get enough frame advantage from his other options anyway, so I guess it makes sense it wouldn't be great

thank you, i just decided to re pick up my old main, daisy, and nobody has made a guide for this yet so thanks! 😊
There's a channel called Atiki who does tech guides and he made a guide and a combo guide for it
Welcome back fellow Daisy main 😊 make them eat their vegetables!

Ill be playing item characters for a few weeks now trying to use this lmao
Very good info i wish the inputs were slower on screen
As a robin main, i need this.
I think I really want to learn it’s when you air dodge there’s some ways to like like recovery fast to do up smash and safe your as

cool new tech, thanks esam!
I do not want my peach playing brother to find out about this
max combo 552 god damn
For real. Lol. I'd love to see that in a video. XD
Just for informational purposes, he said in a stream that the 552 is back air chains with fixed damage on
@@varunkrishnaswamy4252 No, back air. The Smash Bros combo counter doesn’t count nair loops
I think you can get to 999 by just using jab against a wall
I main K. Rool and I suffered watching this video.
I wonder if that's plausible against Snake. I'm sure someone will lab it.
why would you want to z drop and rethrow nade when u could just throw it
im gonna see how much use Mega Man gets out of this
so z drop, press the z drop button again with a directional input for where you want to throw?
you need to use shield and cstick i think!
ohhh ok, i usually z-drop with grab so i guess it's a bit more complex to input than i thought. maybe i'll remember it next time i get the chance though lol, thx@@imESAM
