CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Michael (Lance Guest), Jake (Mario Van Peebles) and Hoagie (Michael Caine) use a plane to search for Michael's mother, Elllen (Lorraine Gary).
FILM DESCRIPTION:
This third sequel to the 1975 mega-hit Jaws returns Lorraine Gary to the role of Ellen Brody, widow of the Roy Scheider character from the first two films. When her son Sean, the current police chief of shark-plagued Amity Island, is killed by the beast, Ellen goes to the Bahamas to comfort her surviving son. Michael Brody (Lance Guest) and his friend Jake (Mario Van Peebles) are marine biologists there to help, but in the end it is up to Ellen and her new beach-bum love -- played by Michael Caine -- to put a halt to the fishy horror. Director Joseph Sargent concludes the series with an ending chosen from several alternate possibilities.

@@theodorerobert6774 I'm not a coward. I've seen this movie and when the only good thing I found from this miserable excuse for a movie was its music, that says alot about the lack of coherent plot in the movie because while there is a plot, it could've been written by anybody.

To this day I'm still wondering what Ellen was trying to do or what she thought she could do LOL
She was sacrificing herself to the shark. If the shark kills her it'll leave the rest of the family alone.
I always thought she had to be sure if the shark was truly after her family so in a panic after thea is attacked she takes the boat and wants to steer the shark as far out to sea as she can away from her family. When she realizes it really is coming after her she wants to sacrifice herself to the shark but is shocked to see it up close that she falls backwards as the plane buzzes it. It's all left to interpretation but honestly if I was her and my husband had killed two sharks and then my son was eaten by one I'd wonder the same thing...

Cinematic Addict yes. Originally he was going to be written out of this film by going on a police call in the water but Roy didn’t want to return for this film so they came up with his character having a nightmare about being eaten by a shark and was so scared it was true he had a heart attack and died and had his fictional son, Sean Brody died in the police call

This movie has terror, suspense, and humor. Sure, it may not be as good as the original Jaws (and it never will be), but I don't get the persistent bashing that most people do when it comes to this film. It's not as bad of a film as most people think it is.
It's better than Jaws 3 IMO.

This movie was shot literally in nine months. To say it was rushed is an understatement. I doubt Universal even gave a crap if the shark looked fake AF as long the film was delivered on time.
