Take a break! Everyone needs to. But wait... you're actually going to be moving during the 'break' so that's not really fair on you. Good luck in your new studio. Love watching your videos. I'm totally inspired and energised by your energy!
when you said you were putting those pots up for only $10 each I wanted to get to MocaMonky as fast as I could.... then I realized I live in Portugal 😭
Long time fan. Love your videos so much that I've taken my first month long pottery class. I'm so hooked. Thanks for the inspiration. Lovely man, lovely family you have. Keep up the good work and vibes.
The single glaze mugs are lovely and really stand out amongst your multi coloured glazed pots. Thanks for all your inspiring videos from your basement ... ... exciting times ahead! ☕
Take your well earned week off and come back refreshed! I love your enthusiasm and total joy. You are an inspiration. The single glaze cups really appealed to me. I like them, a lot. Also, the set of bowls. They were very intriguing with that glaze. I’ve subscribed and hit the bell so that I will not miss your New Studio video ♥️ God bless you and all who share your life. 👵🏻🐾💕🇨🇦
😩 That sweet little scored and cracked piece that got thrown away could have been a succulent planter!!! This youtube channel is so excellent and def a fav. Thanks for sharing your work and life with us!
Have an awesome break and enjoy settling into the new studio! I can't imagine how exciting it must be, even just to have windows in your workspace after all this time. Will miss your videos whilst you're taking a break but can't wait to see what comes next!
Hi Jon, I love to watch your success come to fruition! So happy for you! My husband just bought me my first kiln yesterday! I am so excited to get my own studio going! Much love! Coleen Hall
My daughter loves her $10 pot, but not as much as my wife loves her handwarmer mug. Was great to meet you yesterday! Can't wait to see what comes out of the new studio. Keep being awesome.
You do you, Jon! Focus on what’s in front of ya. We can’t wait to see what your creative spirit does next, but none of that can happen unless you are rested and ready. Peace and happiness! ☕️
Love the bowl’s. I’ve Been throwing for about 6 months and still cannot pull a cereal sized bowl never mind the serving bowls that you throw that are enormous! Perseverance!!!! Enjoy your time away!!
Enjoy your time off. God knows you deserve it. Your new studio is beautiful! As far as the unloading the last kiln...I really liked the matching set of bowls and set of glasses. Love the spiral mugs too. Can’t wait to try it when school starts back up in July for Summer semester. So excited for you. Nice kiln move with Sam. You make it look so easy. See ya!🍃
Some really great stuff in that kiln and I thought that set of bowls are great. I am getting my first kiln delivered in about three weeks so I am super excited. You inspire me so much, I hope I can turn out some things nearly as good as yours. Cheers Bob 🇬🇧
I’m near Albany too - and I agree! Green is my favorite color - how bout putting Albany with that lime green glaze? I haven’t seen you using extruder...! And, YELLING YAY! HOORAY! FOR NEW STUDIO!
Best of luck moving everything to the new studio! SO SO exciting! We'll miss your videos for a week or so, but we get it, you go rock that new space and can't wait to see all the exciting things happening with JTP in June. Also, who else here felt like we should have been playing a drinking game for the amount of times the word "studio" was said in this particular video!? :D lol
Congratulations on your upcoming move! I know you are super excited. So very happy for you, Jon. Your videos are quite informative and you are so upbeat and excited about pottery. You make me smile!
Can’t wait until you have your online shop up and running! Super happy to support you on Patreon, my dude! Awesome videos, great overall vibe, wholesome content! Can’t wait to see the new studio!
Awesome so excited for you. Have fun cleaning out old studio and stocking new studio. At least the new studio has no stairs. 50lb box of clay can be a challenge on stairs.
Hi Jon! Just wanted to say that I recently found your channel and I love it! I actually started from your very first one and I’m working my way up the list when I saw this one that said “Saying Goodbye” and I thought “Noooooo”, so I watched it and now I feel better that your not leaving for good and that you plan to continue to make so many more videos- I love pottery and have taken several classes and dream of starting my own studio one day (need the electrical outlet, wheel, kiln...pretty much everything) but you are such an inspiration and fun to watch. I feel like I’ve learned so much more in the several videos that I’ve watched compared to the many classes that I’ve taken, so Thank You for sharing all your knowledge with us here on RUclips! Just a side note: my 26 year old daughter is named Elise and my husband and I will be celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary on October 6th, 2019. 😉
Enjoy your"vacation"! We'll be here waiting!! :D You are definitely one of the people who when you post I'm super excited to go watch it asap! :D Can't wait to see the new studio all set up and what you'll get up to! :D
Great last vid in the Mocha Studio. I love the single glaze cups, great colour. Looking forward vid's from the new studio and omg! you have 42k subscribers! I found you at 600, You are really a creator on the rise, well done!
Have fun with your family & your down time! Love the briwn & cream bowls 🥰 Reminds me of the old browser ( think it's hullware/?) Very collectible. Have fun🥰
Looking forward to glaze combo video. I've tried a doughnut teapot( hope it isn't plagiarized 🤣) I thank you for all the inspiration over the past year that I've been watching, enjoy the break you've eared it. I'll be away at a Tim See workshop so by the time I'm back I'll be ready to be inspired some more. Cheers
I'm jealous of the new glazes u get to work with. Seems like every other video u say ur working with a new glaze. U got me thinking I need to add to my glaze collection!
Very beautiful pieces, lots of root beer floats, salad bowls, or simple cup of hot tea, on a rainy, winter day/night, while reading a good novel, thanks 💙💚👍
Enjoy your break! I hope you film moving your kiln up those stairs. I envy your new space but cant wait to see what you create. Love the additional footage of your family.
I always love your videos & I appreciate your hard work!! I always learn so much from each video! Keep doin your thing it’s so interesting. I plan on taking a pottery class in college this coming semester & I really feel like your videos are helping me really understand the art of pottery! :)
Well, I’ll miss your basement videos I’m sure (I’m nostalgic to a fault), but I’m really eager to see your light and airy new studio set up! I know you’ve worked hard. You’ve really done well.👍
The albany brown and buttercream combo is my favorite glaze combo range, I'm not sure if it's the EXACT thing I've seen elsewhere but I live for it. Rustic and pretty, reminds me of my grandmother but not in a dated way.
I discovered you on the day you were featured as the creator on the rise. I'm super bummed that I wasn't aware of you before the kickstarter ended, because I want to buy some of your work! My wife does too. I'm particularly fond of the mug you're drinking from in this video. I love the design and colors. That glaze is my happy place. I need that mug in my life!
Yes take a break you deserve it! Plagiarism... when I see a fellow potter who does something that I'd like to incorporate into my work I ask permission to use their ideas. Like the new mug series I'm working on was inspired by Mike Nightmare's work, because my own design was so heavily inspired by his work and used many of his techniques I sent him a message explaining my vision and asking him if it was cool to do so. He said sure! You won't always get a yes, (like with a soap design I had to rework) but asking is the right thing to do! 🌹
You deserve a break. I like the blue cup set. I’m excited abound a new donut teapot video. I made one but my lid does not fit well. Ihope you show how to fix that. Have a blessed week.
Also, I would love to see you experiment with different decorating techniques, including underglaze decals. Or Mishima...fun new stuff to play around with for the videos!
Similar to the doughnut video, you should make an infinity shaped double doughnut vase/decanter. I assume you might have to make two smaller sized doughnuts and then cut each of them to connect them to the other to get the continuous figure eight/ infinity shape.
It’s good to see you take a well deserved break- My concern is this: How will you ever work in your new studio without a cup of Mocca Monkey Java from upstairs in your hand??? You might need to include a clip on how to get a cuppa Shop-Coffee at home! Congrats on your new studio 💐
The Albany brown and butter cream remind me of the old Francoma ware from Oklahoma. I actually like them. The floating blue beakers are very nice. Sometime plain pieces really work well, in my opinion with a dinner set so it sets the plates and bowls apart. I guess it keeps a set from being to “ matchie matchie”. Just a thought about your random pieces: I like to throw pieces instead of test tiles so I can see how the glaze really works. I keep a shelf near my glazes to remind me of their color and oh yeah I already tried that or that combination and I either liked it or not...even the cup with the hole works for that. But then I am still working on my throwing skill and it keeps me from just recycling the clay and gives me practice. Thanks for clueing us in to Old Forge Pottery in England. He mentioned a BBC program called The Great Pottery Throwdown. It is amazing. I’m hooked and it is on RUclips. Hope you do a proper “goodbye” to your basement. We need a moving party and then a Studio Warming! Sharon
Jon I love your stuff I’m in a process of creating a studio out my detached garage! You are inspiring and pretty awesome! Enjoy the break even though I’m sure you’re busy working! Hope the move goes well without breakages and distractions!
Hi Jon, love the pot you pulled out today that you really liked. It looks kinda beachy to me and I’m trying to find a glaze combo like that. When you get time, could you tell us what that is. Thanks and good luck with the studio move. Also, really like the cup with floating blue glaze. I just did some mugs in solid red that turned out nice. 😊
I love them all 💜💜💜💜. Yes you need a break, just don’t forget about us or we’ll be 😭. Excited to see the new studio. Just how much coffee do you drink in a day 😂?
Take a break! Everyone needs to. But wait... you're actually going to be moving during the 'break' so that's not really fair on you. Good luck in your new studio. Love watching your videos. I'm totally inspired and energised by your energy!
when you said you were putting those pots up for only $10 each I wanted to get to MocaMonky as fast as I could.... then I realized I live in Portugal 😭
You should do a video on cleaning up and moving the kilns......
I really like the single glaze cups! It doesn’t really look like your style but the glaze looks amazing 😍
Long time fan. Love your videos so much that I've taken my first month long pottery class. I'm so hooked. Thanks for the inspiration. Lovely man, lovely family you have. Keep up the good work and vibes.

Enjoy your "time off." LOL. Please make a video on how to avoid burnout. I'd appreciate it.

Love the floating blue glaze!!
The fact that you ready every comment is awesome, thank you for sharing your knowledge of ceramic art and for just putting out quality content.
Have an awesome break and enjoy settling into the new studio! I can't imagine how exciting it must be, even just to have windows in your workspace after all this time. Will miss your videos whilst you're taking a break but can't wait to see what comes next!

I’m near Albany too - and I agree! Green is my favorite color - how bout putting Albany with that lime green glaze?

You might have already done this but how about reclaiming clay.

Take a good break. Looking forward to seeing you in the new studio!
Good luck moving into your new studio! Hope you have plenty of time to enjoy the new space! :)

Jon you need to seriously add stuff to your Etsy Shop, preferably those little pots... cause I need them!!
Love them all! 👏👏👏

It hurts my heart that stuff will be in the coffee shop for $10 and I can’t get there. We all get it and your focus on the new place is important. ❤️
You should making some geometric mugs that have like really hard lines on each edge
Do you sell your pottery and if so where do you sell it. I love your art and would really love to buy a piece or 2.
I’m coming to MN in October. Do you have items for sale in your coffee shop I’m hoping we can swing in a get a mug along with some coffee.
When are you going to put more items up for sale on your Etsy page? I would LOVE to buy one.
But so happy that you are going to have your new studio! You’ve earned it!
Yells: IT'S GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH TO TAKE BREAKS! SO STOKED FOR THE NEW STUDIO! SEE YOU SOON! :D
I love them all 💜💜💜💜. Yes you need a break, just don’t forget about us or we’ll be 😭. Excited to see the new studio. Just how much coffee do you drink in a day 😂?
Rest if you need to. I want one of the random ones you did today.
The single color mugs are superb! What brand glaze is that?
