--- Timestamps & highlights
0:22 - Location - Mosquito Island, Caribbean, 2019
0:26 - Context - Little pond on a remote beach, windy night, ugly clouds (not interesting cloud formation)
1:17 - Technique - S-Circle shape. It implies turning off & on the light between the circle and the “S” shape. Camera low to the ground. Single exposure.
1:55 - Challenges - Very hard to replicate. It took us many attempts to get the shape right.
2:15 - Tool - Rose-bronze tube with tiny rose-bronze + rose-bronze feather + texture insert. Color shift done at post-processing time (white balance)
2:31 - Settings - 24mm, f8, iso 400, 3.9 sec (bulb mode), about 1400 lumens

It's still gorgeous.
Awesome work yet again. You make it look easy but lots of practice has got you where you are today. Thanks again for the inspiration.
thanks Stephen! Circles are easy. But adding a beautiful shape inside of the circle is still quite tricky for me. I'll have to keep practicing 😆😆
I've loved this shape since I first saw this image and I'm so happy that you made a video on it! Yay!
💕💕💕
I love, LOVE this highly detailed explanation and break-down of a specific shot. So much good information in such a short video. Thank you
thanks!! ::)) We have a bunch of these coming up (3 minutes videos about a single picture). But we'll keep doing longer ones for my mom 😂😂😂😂
Cool!
thanks :D

Great work. I still have a question tho - how is her figure so sharp with that 4 second exposure?
Really nice Eric & Kim, and a great technic as usual ....... The Rose bronze tube looks to be Aqua colour to me ? did you change the White balance at all to achieve that ?
hiiiiii! Yes (I mentioned it on the overlay).
I rarely do this, but for this kind of shots where there is no background, I can go "creative" with the colors 😆😆
Sorry Eric I just re- read the overlay and was going to delete my comment ......thank you for getting back to me......I feel a tad silly now for not reading it properly 😂 😅 @@Ericpare
@@davochannel-nk8gcit's perfect! More people are reading the comments than the captions 😂😂😂😂
