The reporting for this car is so lazy it's disturbing. There are videos out there already showing the 0-60 is the same as the Model S, not faster. It's also shown that as of a few months ago, the Model S can now do repeated launches from 0-60 (and the Model 3 always could). At this point, anyone talking about that as some kind of advantage with the Taycan is just repeating Porsche's marketing bullet points and not researching anything themselves. The Taycan is a cool car, but I'm starting to lose count how many reviewers don't do any of their own research to learn about how it compares to Tesla.

Even though how nice the interior is, it still has inferior LG pouch-batteries and motors from another company. You do have a fair point. But I don't think people would buy a Taycan only as a daily driver but more of a weekend warrior. If you are only talking about pricing and driving range (as in the longevity of the battery), that's not what Porsche is for anyway. The sport element (handling, limitless launch and etc,.) is what makes a Taycan different from the Model S. And of course the sales of Taycan won't beat the model S. Their customer bases are different in my opinion. Though they do get compared a lot because not many good and fast electric cars are out there for the reviewers to even make a meaningful match.
Porsche does not make cars for the average joe, but for rich people, and they have a very loyal customer base. Their customer base also very particular. They want exclusivity.
