    Awesome video! Love the transitions from each room/place too- super cute and awesome. Will definitely revisit this video in the future! Enjoying your apartment? The shower door is a huge win for you! hahaha . Im glad some of these apartments had bit larger kitchens- i think i struggled with no counter space in my old room. Hope to see your room with some twice posters soon!

    Can you make a video about good practices to get your deposit back? The things that you can do to a rental is so different for every country.

    • @iamkimninja
      @iamkimninja  6 месяцев назад +2

      I haven't been through the experience yet and it can also vastly vary from person to landlords. But if you do it through the Real Estate Agent and submit your contract to the local government your deposit is usually safe and you'll receive it back.

    Probably the most comprehensive video I’ve watched here on yt! Thank you ❤ from what I’ve seen, in SK there are more one-room apartments than shared houses compared to Europe. If I wanted to find a room in a shared house at least for the first months, do you know any websites/agencies?

      My friend runs this website, short term rentals are also possible just message her she will get back to you asap :)

    I'm going to be in korea for one semester at hanyang ERICA campus in Ansan
    I don't really know if I want to stay at the uni dorm so I want to search for an apartment or sharehouse in ansan
    But it's really hard to find something there
    It's like almost everything is in seoul, what makes sense but it's very frustrating
    Hope your video can help me 👍🏽

    Since the deposit money is a lot, how do you go about transferring or withdrawing money from your home country bank account without having the account locked? I’ve heard that even after sometimes notifying the bank that you’re moving abroad, they still experience their bank account getting locked.

    Hey, next year I will be going as an international student for one year to Seoul. In the video you said, that you need to have a korean phone number when you sign the contract and so on. But for getting a korean phone number I would need the ARC, but that takes weeks to months... Can you also sign an apartment without having a korean phone number?

    • @iamkimninja
      @iamkimninja  9 дней назад +1

      You can use a prepaid sim card in the mean time then activate a new sim later for online authentication 😁

    Omg thank you so much for this detailed video! I’m moving to Seoul in a month and I’m so stressed about the housing. Do you know if we can pay by cash/card? Cause I dont think we can pay with european bank account. If we can only pay with korean bank transfer then we might need somehow to get the ARC and opening the bank account, but then should we find first a gosiwon that allows us to register the living at immigration office (?) Thank you in advance

    • @iamkimninja
      @iamkimninja  3 месяца назад +1

      My recommendation for you is to open up a "Wise" Online Banking Account. That way, you can easily do bank transfers to Korean Banks.
      The first months before going to the immigration office you don't need a fixed address you can stay at different Goshiwons or neighborhoods until you found the right place then you register that permanent place at the immigration office

    • @iamkimninja

      Yes, most likely they won't. But there could be exceptions as some real estate agencies do cater to foreigners depending on the neighborhood like Itaewon

    Are all contracts normally 2 years..?

    • @iamkimninja
      @iamkimninja  4 месяца назад

      Not all, but that's the norm for most Koreans. Landlords prefer 2 years contract but if you go to a real estate agent and tell them only 1 Year they might find it harder to find but not impossible
