Luckily I only have to go once every 5 years… by the way, I went to the wrong office too on my 2 year renewal… for some reason my first time was fine, but the renewal appointment confused me.. fortunatelyI left with plenty of time to make my appointment.
@@iamkimninja I actually used the website to book an appointment trying to figure out which office based on my location. It was weird because there was some blurb about a new location for my area, or at least that’s what it sounded like. I thought, ok, I guess I have to go to the new one now (the one you went to I believe)… went to that location and they said i still have to go to the old one I went to previously a couple years prior… luckily after initial 2 year renewal date, it changes to every five years.. so a few more years before I have to go back 😁.
Hello! Thank you so much for this video; it's very helpful! I have one question, though: Do you happen to know whether I should fill in the school, work, and annual income-related fields if I have an H1 working holiday visa?

Thank you very much!! Just one question. The day I arrive at the immigration office, do I need to pay before i see the officer or after?? Thank you again!!!!
@@phillipampeire if it's your first time I'd suggest after meeting the officer, they will tell you to do it exactly like described in the video 😁 but if you're sure of the procedure you can do it before to save some time
@@iamkimninja I chose the sejongno as well now for making a appointment because I need a ARC and that wasn’t an option at the seoul southern immigration office eventhough I’ll live in geumcheonggu so the Seoul southern immigration office would need to take care of me. Did I do it right??
@@conversehigh8 Then you should cancel your appointment at Sejongno and make a new appointment at Seoul Southern Immigration, they are in charge of you. Choose "Visit Reservation for Permission to Stay" both of the option that you see listed in Southern Immigration works it's just on the 1F and 2F.
I have a question, I'm coming to korea with a working holiday visa (H1) soon but I plan to move around so I haven't booked a single place for my stay, I also haven't yet booked the last 4 months of my trip. Do you think it's okay to only bring proof of residency for part of my stay and make another appointment to bring the rest later when I find a place?
I recommend having at least one place for month while your ARC is being issued. Example: Immigration Appointment: 1 September. Rental Confirmation: 30 August - 30 September. When you get your ARC you can freely move
hi! I made my appointment today and the first date available was October 17th, but my visa expires November 12th... is it too late to apply? what should I do?
No that's not late! On the Date you apply and check your documents you have basically been accepted, you just need to wait for your residence card to get issued which could take around 3-4 weeks but in the meantime, you are legally in the country. So no worries
Hey i have one question. I have the H1 Visa but havent arrived in Korea just yet. Can I make the appointment online already or can i only do it once i have entered the country?
@@arielledisney7378 theoretically you could make an appointment if you know where you will live as Seoul has 3 different immigration offices depending on where you will stay. If you already have a booking confirmation or lease contract then you could make an appointment.
hey thank you for your answer! sadly it doesnt seem to work for me to make a reservation beforehand. it always says no results found. i was wondering if maybe others had the same problem? i cant get to the part where you choose which office to go to?

If you have done it before then you can just do it, but usually you can do it after and the officer will tell you how much 😁
