I had similar headphones with base where you just place headphones and it charges without cables. Battery was not used for some time (original Sony like yours) and I used it again and again and it came to life after few days.
Hi I bought these second hand still in box, everything works bar the charging it seems. I get the red LED light but the headphones themselves don’t seem to charge. Would you recommend just getting batteries?
I have these headphones for more than ten years and I am very satisfied with them. They have very good volume which I like because I am slightly deaf. This week the right side earphone that has the volume control stopped working. The volume control works but only for left earphone. The right earphone appears to be sealed and cannot be opened. There is no sound from the right earphone. Can it be repaired?
Thanks for the reply sorry I don’t think the headset works with my tv I just returned it I have the optical out but thats about all my tv has for audio out which seems silly but I don’t know maybe this headset is a bit outdated? I know most tvs just use Bluetooth now mine also doesn’t have it I think my tv is from 2017 or something so pretty old.

Priceless! Extremely useful explanation. BTW this can also be applicable to Sony headphones MDR-RF860RK 👍

yes ordinary AAA or rechargables. then slap them in and chuck the original power pack in the recycling.
Really helpful Thankyou
