My T6 arrived today. Can’t wait to do a video on it. Razor sharp and super comfortable. Great sheath too IMO.
Do you recommend the t6 ?
@@Argentina-cz3ru absolutely

Best general use belt knives I would suggest to anybody, are the Lionsteel M4 and the TRC Mille Cuori! Both are great companies, that produce high end knives. The only knives, that I could put next to my custom ones, with some of the best fit and finish jobs, I've seen on any knife. If you're going for a user knife, and not just collectible,
The M4 is a huge value, considering the materials, the perfect handle, and the overall performance and quality you get, is unheard of. I guess same goes for these 2 knives, on this video!
I own a TRC M1 (or Mille Cuori as they renamed it to). What a great tactical knife!
@@bback74 It's considered the best knife in it's category and since I own all the most famous tactical knives plus a ton of custom ones, I have to say it is indeed THE best.
I've used the finish on it's pommel, to remove the baby bottom from a fountain pen nib ( whoever has fountain pens, knows what I mean) It's finish, is like a extra fine coarse grit, something like 5000 to 10000 grit, I can't say exactly but it works as a sharpening stone...
PS I use all of my knives in the outdoors, I live in the country and it's a must have tool.
I’ve been thinking of getting a large knife, and these are the two contenders. I really appreciate this comparison. Thanks!
I own both, but my trc is a desk princess great knives though.
That TRC Apocalypse is as fine at it gets. I own the previous version (a bit shorter, thinner and lighter) and this new upgraded one. I honestly can't think of anything better in that size category - disregarding the price.
How easy is it to sharpen in the field?
@@chriskitchen4772 Probably not my first choice of steel (or price range) for free hand sharpening in the field but I'm no sharpening expert. I mainly use a guided sharpener (tsprof) for my expensive knives since I do want to keep them pretty/newish condition.
Honestly - I can do all tasks with a Mora or similar and they are so cheap here where I live that I even can throw them away when they get dull.
The premium knives are just for bringing out the smile - occasionally.
TRC is the sports car of the two. Tasty! 😘👍🇦🇺
I have Two Apocalypse and two T-6's, my complaint has always been the Apo handle sucks, too thin for my big hands, if I had to pick just one knife, the T-6 wins hands down! Solid knife and excellent ergonomics and the handle is a hand full, the way it should be! Though the TRC is an incredible knife, IMHO, it's highly over rated!
That’s my take the T6 is more practical and 3V is a tougher steel for processing wood than V4E or Elmax.
Those are some Heirloom Quality beast camp knives David ....cheers and take care !
Heirloom if you can keep them from rusting to dust.
Awesome comparison. Covered everything with good details, closeups etc..cheers.
I have three Apocalypses.
And recently got the Lionsteel T5 Niolox leather sheath. Love it to bits.
I dont feel I need to go for the T6 (in cpm3V).
I think the Apocalypse covers the duties the T6 could...though for lightweight hiking I'd go the T6
But then I have too many others in the same range... Survive GSO 7.7, Dark Timber Honey Badger, Bk7 and 9 etc...
Interesting that Lionsteel changed the K490 to CPM 3V, what could be the reason for that? Anyway, Lionsteel T6 is a fascinating knife and I really like Molletta knife designs. Also the sheath looks much better in the video than in the pictures alone.
no reason ..the K490 is limited with 999 knives each handle color ... the K490 is alwayse better then 3V
K490 is a limited edition
Not a fan of sharpening or finger choils or thumb ramps. Still though that Lionsteal 6 looks like a great knife. I love the Esse Junglas was a great knife. I got some Hultafors axes from you years ago and me and my family loved them ! Still to this day they take em out camping. Thanks so much man. Lets hope these foreset fires die out !
Can you unscrew the trc handle and put a custom handle on, if you wanted to?
Well done young man!
sad that your camera is on strange angle. Pls set it to compare knives not by side, this compare is helpless
i have t6 and it is heavy, fine knife but i wouldnt rely on it to much, steel can be a surprise when break tip
TRC !!!
Fai come i Giapponesi si chiama care chiri da solo fallo
funny that the sheath has a slot for firesteel when the spine is so rounded....no chance to throw sparks with that!
Firesteel works on the TRC.
