I have a 65L Engel for 7 years now in the back of my lux never bolted down and do all the Vic High Country. Bloody tough fridge... The features on the King's are pretty dam cool... 5 years warranty ya cannot go wrong really ... The day my Engel blows up , ill get a kings ...
I'm still using my 40L, 30 year old Engel fridge/freezer. It's gone around OZ twice. I'd like to see this KINGS freezer go the distance. I will buy one just out of curiosity and use as a spare because the Engel refuses to break.
My Engel gave up after only 8 years and 1 trip around the country, the dust ended up killing it. It went in to Engel world for a full rebuild in 2006 ($500) and is still going strong, though it just serves as a back up house freezer now in the shed; it's too bloody loud to keep in the house.
Sounds good. When are you updating the drawer fridges? I have been thinking of fitting three drawer fridges into my bus conversion - one as a freezer and two as fridges but minus 10 degrees is not low enough to freeze.
Hi there, While we do not have any plans to upgrade at this stage, however, if we do in future, the first place to find out will be on social media. Regards, Rachael
The cover that comes with it is blue it’s a nice close tight fit it’s just the cover flaps on the top that are black mine looks really good I ordered my cover on the same day but I kept receiving the wrong cover that was the other 60 l fridge with the display at the top 3 times lucky and it arrived yesterday the issue was the AKF- COVER _60l number was the same as the older model so electronically it got sent out wrong twice but I just rang 4wdsupercentre and as always customer service is great it wasn’t a big deal and I eventually got the right one they said they were aware of the problem and sorted it out straight away
I have the kings 20 litre model that came out several months ago it’s amazing and so quiet and cold but yes in the new 50 mm thick walls model would be awesome I’m interested to know too if they are doing 20 litre in the stayzcool models too seems like there is a new size or model coming out every few months. The kings 15 litre is awesome too mine took 21 minutes to reach minus 18 that has the secop compressor in it too
@@matt08sydney Yeah I was tempted by the original 20L as something cheap to leave in the car but if there is a possibility of the new style coming in 20L I'll wait. Already have a bunch of engels, waeco/dometics & brass monkeys. Camping fridges are becoming addictive.
I got the 60 l stayzcool the difference is it’s 50 mm thick insulation I’ve been running mine at home for 3 weeks once I got it to the desired temperature I put a kings thermometer 🌡 inside it really stays on temperature it only dropped 2 degrees in temperature during cycles not even noticeable I love how the lid can open either side it’s simple Simon the only negative is that when you go to open the lid you put your fingers in the opening groove and have to push your fingers (down) as you lift the lid up hmmm I think the positive of that is that it makes it childproof which is a good thing the other huge positive of the fridge is you can put 30 200mm cans of Woodstock Bourbon in the fridge and it still looks empty hahaha 🤣 I’m loving the 60 l glad I got it over the 45l : The fridge cover seems to be quite thick though it’s a little strange to open as you have 2 top flaps that open east and west before you open the lid either north or south but it mould’s around the fridge well and Velcro holds it together better than any other fridge I’ve had. Secop compressor seems to be reasonably quiet I haven’t tried it on 12 volt battery setup yet but might try it tonight on my Volt X 135 amp hour Lithium Battery and update my ( this ) comment definitely worth the money 💰
H ithere, 768mm(W) x 461mm(H) x 470mm(D) is the 60l. 928mm(W) x 461mm(H) x 470mm(D) is the 75l. The specs are also found on the website. Kind regards, Rachael

Looks great, just not sure why you would choose black as the outer colour? 🤔
So you have to buy the optional insulated cover lol
@@holidaymail 😄Too true, might be the smart marketing choice.
A Matt Black is efficient at removing heat quickly.

5 years is good warranty but in Simpson,OTT etc how do I go, do I have to return it and wait ?
I thought I'd have to have kids before I got excited about this kind of product... I guess I've become a dad before my time.
love my fridge keeps everything nice and cold while camping and runs of my battery setup for days on end
Very impressed. Are they quiet and good on power?
I bought one today. I plugged it in and could hardly hear it.
@@paulmorley5
How's power usage?
@@pamuk7 no issues at all. Good so far anyway🤷♂️

I just purchased the 90litre over boxing week. Hope it goes well
Can't follow the link for the 75ltr fridge, your website won't show that model, comes up with an error...
Dose it have battery in it so you don't have to you while Ur camping
What’s the warranty on the 75lt
Are you doing smaller sizes? 20+ something litre?

How long is the battery life?
Mine just arrived as replacement for the old 90lt.looks great. Cooled down very fast. Will wait and see if it has any issues like the old model.
What issues did the older models have was it the old 60l or 90l that had problems
Please keep us updated.
Hey mate. You got a 2 year update?
Smart I like it
What’s the difference between these new fridges. And the new ones that came out a couple months ago.
They brought back the reliable secop compressor
The other is an entry level range, where as this is the new premium range
