    Thank you so much! I was able to successfully refill my Rotring Rapidograph pen after watching this video. I cleaned the cartridge with my homemade cleaner and the syringe, and then refilled the pen according to your instructions.

    I just found out that you can refill without a syringe and needle. I used the Rotring bottled ink with the nozzle. Key is that you tap the cartridge so the first drop slides past the 'obstruction' in the cartridge. You can then slowly squeeze ink from the bottle into the cartridge while holding the cartridge in an angle. Don't obstruct the opening with the nozzle, because air has to come out of the cartridge.

    hi, Teoh! i'm VERY happy that you're reviewing tech pens and demonstrating how to refill them. i'm aware you're familiar with Dr. Ph Martin's Bombay ink and it says in the ink's description that it can be used with tech pens. can you do a review/pro's & con's of the bombay ink? should you dilute it in water when refilling in the tech pen or put the ink directly from bottle to tech pen?

    • @teohyc

    Hello, I have a question about storing the Rapidograph. It is understandable when you say that before a long delay in use, the instrument must be completely washed in a cleaning liquid. But what about the fact that I do not use the pen for several days? Do I need to put the tip itself, or do I need to take it out? How can I prevent the ink in the cartridge from drying out? I tried to leave the cartridge in the pen without the tip (because I am afraid of clogging it), but the ink leaked out, and then the whole pen ended up in ink. Do I need to buy a cap for the cartridge or keep the tip in place?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  18 часов назад

      If it's just several days it should still be alright. The pen cap should be air-tight.

I have seen people use white ink in their rotring pens, but they are very expensive considering I just need it for the purpose of a white fine liner. I am wondering if there are any technical drawing pens like this or the Coptic SP that I can fill with a white ink (am going to buy the white rotring ink)

    Hi, I am wondering if buying this pen is a better option in terms of feel and value compared to buying standard drawing pen (like micron). To give you idea, in my country, a standard drawing pen I usually get is 1 usd each, and I can finish 3-4 A4 drawings with a single pen. While this pen costs 20-25 usd and the ink costs 5 usd.

But I had to screw the nip really tight, and now I can not screw it out anymore... I tried it gently with a pilers but its that tight that I might would break the plastic.
      Any sugestion for screwing it out without damaging the "nip"?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  7 лет назад

      You mean the feed section inside the pen? That small tube like thing that allows ink to flow in? If that's stuck, I suggest twisting the ink convertor slightly clockwise and anticlockwise until it moves.

    • @eliaeichmann5097
      @eliaeichmann5097 7 лет назад

      Yeah exactly. I attached a link with the picture of it. The stuff is, that the part which the ink was inside was quiet unmovable so I had to twist it with the clock until it got a bit loose. But at this point I realized that the writing part got stuck really hard...
      Well I try to move it slovely. I tried already to fix like 10 layers of a isolation tape so I have a better handle to use force on this thin part....
      Next time I use your method of storaging it for longer time ;-)
