C’est facile. Mais quand Dùran l’enseigne, ce n’est plus un coup de poing de débutant, c’est un coup dévastateur.

      @Iamrjayhd not only that , Duran was explaining head and body placement. I dont think Regis understand. Its one thing to be able to deliver a great punch, but its another thing to understand the sweet science ... thats why i always favor classic boxers over people that have knock out power. Same reason i fa vor devin over Regis . I like both brothers, but Devin is the more technically sound fighter

    Definitely no knock on Regis but you can tell how much boxer's today have lost technique. Regis was having a hard time doing what Duran was instructing. But mad respect to him to be humble enough to absorb that knowledge. You can't get what Duran was teaching in one day but you can get better over time.

    Duran knows that he doesn't like what he sees, but explaining why is a whole other talent. Those damn mats on the floor are driving me nuts. How do you practice on a heavy bag on an uneven floor?! My gym has an area like that as well. Not ideal if you are trying to explain stepping and pivoting.

    Roberto Duran is my favorite fighter. He looks good. When I saw Jose Napoles and Wilfredo Benitez it broke my heart. Both of them had pugilist dementia. Wilfredo was like a baby. That shit had me in tears. Jose, listening to him speak while his wife continuously wiped his mouth because he was drooling. That was painful as hell for me. The Quarry brothers. I think both of them are dead of pugilist dementia too. Muhammad Ali had Parkinsons.’ All of their brains were messed up from taking too many punches to the head. Duran was stopped only once by knockout when he fought Tommy Hearns. It would be nice if Duran had his own gym here in the US. Hopefully, he does have a gym in Panama. I know he would turn out some champions.

    Regis would terrorize Haney by learning this. Duran showing Regis how to use waist movement and be just as deadly on the inside as the outside. Haney's strength on the outside once Regis is on the inside Haney will crumble. Regis throws bombs, but he over reaches too much. Haney will want to capitalize on that.

    • @White_Z33

      can you explain more in detail?

    • @cesarflores9974
      @cesarflores9974 Год назад

      @@White_Z33 Yea no problem. Duran was basically trying to show Regis to use his waist more to produce power especially inside the pocket. As explosive and fast as Regis is or was, his power seemed to only come from his feet, which is not wrong. But Duran was trying to add to his arsenal. You can be deadly at any range doing this. Duran vs Moore is a perfect example of this.
