That's unusual for a wide-body like an A330 to not have a TV screens. I don't think the airline is the reason because I saw another video with a Philippine airline A330 or 777 where there was TV screen and economy seats were a bit wider than this aircraft
Yep imagine flying that to Australia or Dubai which they occasionally did! Thankfully not anymore but Cebu Pacific have an all economy configuration in 3-3-3
They have 15 A330s 8 in a 1-2-1(Business Class), 2-3-2(Premium Economy), 2-4-2(Economy) and the remaining 7 A330s including this one in a 2-2-2(Business Class) and 3-3-3 in Premium Economy and Economy Class
Jollibee may only be the best thing that Manila airport terminal 2 could offer. Nothing much you can do around our airport honestly. :( Glad to know you also love their fried chicken like most Filipinos do haha and you enjoyed the flight although seats and legroom were really bad. Actually, the A330 beside your plane (RP-C8780) was already refurbished. Kinda surprised they don't use that for loaded flights to HK Maraming salamat for another great trip report Jayden! Hope to see you here in the Philippines when u come back haha 🇵🇭 🙂 Oops, probably my longest comment yet 😂 #OWFsquad
yeah I wish I ate at Jollibee😂I mean the lasagna was quite cheap too at MNL! I probably got on their worst plane to HK, they also fly 777 and 320n to HK but timing didn't quite suit me. Thanks Carl!!
Would enjoy a HKG lounge review if you have time Jayden. Love the daily uploads. I wonder if you would do a CX review in 2020. Merry Christmas to you and your family! #OWFsquad
Great video OWF, looks like you had a nice flight on PA. The food looks pretty good and it’s always nice to get a hot meal on such a short flight nowadays. The seat and 3-3-3 configuration looks and feels very poor :( good to hear they are refurbing these A330s! Regards, Brendan
Thanks for watching Brendan! Yeah haha I had mixed feelings on this flight but generally it was positive, great crew and tasty food. Have a good day my friend!
great review! u always seem to sit near the rear of the cabin, what kind of cabin baggage do u travel with? the bins do not seem full at all, so is there space for u to stow ur cabin baggage overhead? usually.
Just my back pack as it’s easier when I do filming. If I were not filming I would have a carry on baggage and no checked in :) Overhead bins are usually not full on my flights, but always full when I fly AA domestic 😂 Thanks Richard!

Hello. How many food outlets were available at Terminal 2 international Manila ? Is the waiting area small for an international ? Are the seats hard plastic ? Could u handle waiting 6 hrs or more at that terminal ? Btw bro, terminal 2 international was notorious for the bullet planting scam a few yrs ago. No ife on an A330 ? that is unheard of except for phils airlines. Probably throw in cebu pacific and scoot as well.
Not many at all once airside! The only real restaurant with seating area is Illy cafe, others don't offer any seats or tables... Oh what's that scam about?? Yeah they still have a few flying around, will soon be gone :D Thanks Craig!!
@@JaydenWong Dude the bullet scam stopped after duterte gained office. Duterte made a promise that anyone involved in the bullet scam would go to prison. After his election win, that scam stopped. However prior to his election win, was frequent at all terminals especially terminal 2 international. How the scam worked, airport employee's ( security ) would put a bag aside after the x ray machine, pretend to search a bag, using their hand and find a bullet in the baggage. Obviously the bullet was in the hand of the security guard searching the bag. They would demand a large sum of cash from the person. If the person did not comply, would be held as its a criminal offense to carry firearms or ammo. A person would miss their flight and appear in court in a few days. Pathetic. The seat reminds me of China Eastern Airlines' old Airbus A330-200/300's economy class seat, they almost look identical except for the color of the seat. Anyway an impressive video mate.
Last August, I rode PAL to Singapore. The legroom is just enough for me but the seats are a bit cramped. I had to order a second serving of food or else I would starve. I usually ride CX and will go to HK next week. Wonder how the airport traffic will be like this time...

the flight certainly did feel very safe, and the crew took excellent care of us. Where are you flying from? Some airlines like British Airways and Virgin Australia have training programmes for nervous flyers :D Merry Christmas and thanks for watching🎄
Philippine Airlines international flights from United States and Canada arrive in Terminal 1 Manila. By the way if you have to use Airline specific brand this is called Fiesta Class. you have to use the main screen. One advantage PR🇵🇭 has over CX🇭🇰 on MNL-HKG is hot meals unlike Cold Meals on CX. On the other hand CX flights are timed for HKG- Europe and North America.
I got a joke on PAL...it used to be plane always late...but here comes their SVP for Operations...he said no no no we have revamped our trg and improve customer exp etc...so plane already left ...you were late!😁
Its the config they use to middle east as it is a high density route. They have a better config with that a330 on 2-4-2 but i believe it goes to hawaii or guam. Also transiting in mnl is very poor specially if you have a different terminal as the transfers dont usually do well. You really need to spend just to move to a different terminal
Wow, I never thought a full-service , flag carrying airline would opt-out of having AVOD in economy class, especially for such a new plane, not to mention giving you something to distract you from those narrow seats! Other than the meal, there mould not be much product difference between Cebu Pacific & Phillipine Airlines in Economy.
Kathy Carlssen that’s right, they don’t have unlimited resources, which is why Flight attendants & some pilots only get raises when they aviation industry is doing well & oil prices are stable & relatively low. Could you imagine how slow the internet would be if 300 or more passengers would be on the internet?? Also, are you aware of the revenue airlines make by displaying advertisements before every movie? I not against wage rises, but you have to offer something more in the way of cheaper airfares or extra luggage capacity if you trade off a standard amenity from a full-service carrier. Otherwise people will just fly with the competition!
Kathy Carlssen Youtubish? I thought Ads before movies have been around in cinemas as long as I remember, with the ads before inflight movies having been around since the personal, back of seat screens have been around. Don’t remember ads for the movies when you only had one central screen in the main cabin, and only getting one or two movies ( like London-Sydney) on flights. You even had ads in the inflight magazines before you had inflight movies.
Wow, those seats are narrow! I don't know how anyone could sit there for any length of time. Glad to hear they are going to the standard 8-across configuration. Otherwise, it looked like a pretty great flight. Nice to get a meal on a relatively short flight!
You can actually eat that on the airplane too. My mother did the longest flight in the Philippine Airlines Network non-stop New York Manila PR127 in Fiesta class
3-3-3 on an A330?! 🙅♂️ Glad to hear they’re replacing that cabin. Good trip report. ✅ Did you hear Cathay Pacific is finally upgrading the Adelaide flights to an A350 from October 2020? 🥳
Good morning from the States Jayden. I wish you enjoy and have a most 祝你聖誕快樂!! I am pleasingly amazed at the number of reviews you have posted lately. These must be your Christmas presents to your “One World Flyer” squad members. I thank-you so much for your thoughtfulness and all the effort you make to provide them for us. Despite how brief your flight was, I still managed to unveil some noteworthy aspects for my comment. The news about the future upgrades to your A330 and other things I picked up had me thinking that somewhere, someone was shaking things up in Philippine Airlines. Behold, I found articles about the new boss who has plans to restore the high quality which the company once held. This is absolutely wonderful, and I am very happy for your Philippine subscribers and viewers. Given the frequency with which you fly, I am certain you will again use Philippine Airlines in the future. So, I will bookmark this review and do some comparison with a future post to determine how well the new boss of the company is progressing. Your flight reminded me of traveling in the 1990’s and earlier when WiFi and Inflight Entertainment (IFE) Systems were not available. People tended to be more engaging and had no problem with starting up conversations with strangers. It was a great experience for learning about people and what they enjoyed in life. I was always fascinated to learn what others did for a living. It was definitely a different time. However, onboard the aircraft, the seats were much more comfortable with plenty of legroom for someone tall (I’m 6’ 4” (~193 cm).). The food was not always good, but it did have a better presentation, even on flights as short as yours. There was also a greater flight attendant to passenger ratio, and it was not unusual for the attendant (stewardess back then) to strike up a conversation with passengers during the flight. One thing that was a big hit (believe it or not) was a few music channels provided by the airline for our listening pleasure. There were just two problems for me: The first was before the speaker type headphones, each seat had a mini-speaker in the arm rest, and we were provided essentially hollow tubes with ear pieces for listening. If a kink formed in the tubing, good-bye music. The other was that the music was only about an hour long loop. So on a long haul flight, at least I was able to memorize the lyrics. Before WiFi, IFE’s, and other airline provided things to help people occupy themselves on a flight, I did a few things. I had a couple of books with me, to include a crossword puzzle book (I was terrible at them, but still enjoyed the challenge.). There was always pasting my head against the window. But when flying over land, I enjoyed comparing landmarks below with time of flight to track our progress. One other thing I speculate, having read many of the comments regarding the airport is that I foresee things getting better for passengers. Since Philippine Airlines is heavily invested in it as a hub, and the new boss is working to improve the airline, I am guessing that the airline will be putting a lot of pressure on the Manila city government to bring the airport up to standards. Again, thank-you for the post. 祝你聖誕快樂! As always, I am looking forward to your next video.
多謝 (dor je- thank you) Guerry! I have two more videos this week, so I'll have a rest from Boxing day onwards 🎁😄 I would certainly fly Philippine Airlines again, their people (staff) are amazing and I'm sure I'll have a great experience with them when they finally update their fleet and cabins. Interesting observations about how not having IFE and WiFi encourage more conversations, and I cannot agree more. I was just thinking back my past conversations with strangers onboard. This month alone, it happened twice, one time was on a Qantas 737, another time was on a Virgin 737. Both planes got Wifi enabled but no TV. Still, I'm sure not having IFE makes a huge difference!! I remember that the stranger next to me flying from Sydney to Adelaide was a Dutch lady travelling in Down Under. The strangers on my Virgin Adelaide-Gold Coast flight were a lovely couple heading for a holiday. I remember the old school radio on older planes. I think the last time I saw them was on an ANA Boeing 767 flight back in 2011. Believe or not, I can still remember the opening of the radio, the play that opening every time I pluck my headphone in and then they'll begin the loop. I guess the only non-electronic things to distract yourself when flying nowadays are talking to strangers, look outside the window and cross-word puzzles in the magazine😂
Another day another upload. All One World Flyer fans just won the lottery! I’m just so happy that there was free wine for you Jayden and more coat hooks for me lol!❤️👍✈️

wikipedia: Terminal 2 is exclusively used by Philippine Airlines and PAL Express for both its domestic and international flights. Thanks a lot for watching mate!
Sorry to say this, just my opinion, with so many other airports to choose, I will definitely NOT use Manila airport to transit, depart or arrive. It is not THE worst airport but it’s definitely one of the lousy ones. I hope their plan to build a new airport will be successful and I’ll be sure to use them.
yes the current MNL is quite poor. If you're connecting via Asia, it makes so much more sense if you go via HK or other nearby airports. PAL is really going to lose some business there so I too hope the new airport is going to be a game changer, thanks very much for watching!
One World Flyer HKIA is one of the best choice. The CX Lounge for Premium passengers is absolutely fantastic. Even better than SQ SilverKris Lounge. IMO.
Kalyan Nakata yes. I am from Philippines. I need to leave my house 4 hours before my flight because Check-in, immigration, etc. takes about an hour for me. I have about 1 hour left for plane spotting. In Hong Kong, it is much more convenient. I could spend 3 hours in the lounges and do some work there. Definitely go there if you will transit to another place instead of MNL
The seats just looks terrible . Also , is the wifi on the plane good ? Here r some of my opinions . 3:12 , no TV !? Oh no. 13:47 , the seat didn't kill you , great pun . 13:51 , Thank God they are refurbishing the A330 . Do you think they shall change the food menu too ?
Too bad your flight was with the old A330 configuration. PR 300 in the morning is also an A330 but with the newly equipped cabin with much better seats and individual IFEs.
The most horrendous 3-3-3 for a FSC. I see why they are doing this but only LCC airlines such as AirAsia and rival Cebu Pacific do this. Thank goodness they're refurbishing these A330s.
I do wish you were able to try the refurbished aircraft. Jollibee is really good especially the chicken joy and their peach mango pie 👍👍👍. Thanks for flying PAL and as usual another great report. Enjoy the holidays, Jayden!
Planning to fly from Malaysia to Tokyo. Might consider flying Philippine Airlines since air fare is cheapest. I do have some concerns: 1) How's the Ninoy Aquino airport in Manila? 2) What's the best part of that airport (besides Jollibee)? 3) Any language barriers? 4) How comfy is Philippine Airlines compared to say, ANA or Japan Airlines?
1) the terminal for Philippine Airlines is pretty small 2) For me check-in and security were pretty fast and easy 3) not at all 4) They're very different and depends on the aircraft type. The A330 I got is extremely old and chances are you'll get nicer ones :)
Nice Video,Jayden. But unfortunately seat too narrow,no TV.The cabin is too old and bad.So is not great service. But only great is food look like tasty. Overall is worst than EVA AIR and Transasia Airways.
@@JaydenWong they only got rid of 3-3-3 for half of the fleet. The remaining ones that are used on domestic, regional and even Middle East routes retain the tight config.
Really like how PAL has improved substantially over the past decade, but hoping they can enter an alliance to make those flown miles earning status. Did you get a chance to see the PAL lounge in Manila? Heard it's not bad, but not great :)
sorry you had to experience the refugee camp that is MNL. hate going there when i visit family, i try to use CRK but its pricier and less choices. i can't wait for this airport's replacement to be built. also, that pillow they gave you looked like a giant maxipad #sad
@@JaydenWong a replacement airport has been announced, hopefully it can be built in a few years. if we can rebuild LGA here in nyc, there is hope for the world's worst airports. and hopefully new MNL will have better restaurants and bars!

You even had ads in the inflight magazines before you had inflight movies.
yeah agree unless they use it exclusively for domestic. It's truly hectic who those who fly this to Dubai, thanks for watching Paul!
Wow, those seats are narrow! I don't know how anyone could sit there for any length of time. Glad to hear they are going to the standard 8-across configuration. Otherwise, it looked like a pretty great flight. Nice to get a meal on a relatively short flight!
yep the seats should be illegal I think! The chicken rice with java sauce was amazing! I wish you were onboard to try them Mike 😂😂😈
I like your accent
thank you!!
missing Manila food- now living in Europe- i eat asian , especially Filipino food when in California-- was in HKG 2 years ago take care
Thanks very much for watching! I’m going to Chinatown later in Boston for Chinese New Year😝
You can actually eat that on the airplane too. My mother did the longest flight in the Philippine Airlines Network non-stop New York Manila PR127 in Fiesta class
You should try japan airlines Tokyo-sydney or Melbourne i tried it and its a great flight
All JAL flights are as good!! And of course I'd love to try out that route soon :D
With ANA and Virgin (from Brisbane) too
Thanks Bruce!
Good
thank you!!
@@JaydenWong Welcome
Perhaps you can try PHILIPPINE Airline's business class
hopefully one day!💰
Thanks for watching :)
I love Jollibee, Jayden!
ME TOO!!
3-3-3 on an A330?! 🙅♂️
Glad to hear they’re replacing that cabin.
Good trip report. ✅
Did you hear Cathay Pacific is finally upgrading the Adelaide flights to an A350 from October 2020? 🥳
yes mate! They've secretly updated the aircraft type of their website a while ago but they haven't announced it! Thanks very much for watching!
PAL has plus points on Inflight meals in Manila to Hong Kong flights against Cebu Pacific and Cathay Pacific.
agree! and it was very delicious! Thanks very much for watching :)
I have two more videos this week, so I'll have a rest from Boxing day onwards 🎁😄
I would certainly fly Philippine Airlines again, their people (staff) are amazing and I'm sure I'll have a great experience with them when they finally update their fleet and cabins.
@@JaydenWong: Thank-you for your very nice reply, Jayden. I am looking forward to viewing your next posts!
Another day another upload. All One World Flyer fans just won the lottery! I’m just so happy that there was free wine for you Jayden and more coat hooks for me lol!❤️👍✈️
Haha true true!! Watch out for a few coat hooks tomorrow 😤😤😂
Actually you can stream movies and tv shows on board at the myPAL player app which is free to download. 😀
thanks for watching Erika, sorry I forgot to mention that in my video. I always forget about the wireless entertainment😂
@@JaydenWong i suggest you try it next time on your trips with philippine airlines!! Love your vids btw.
These should have been put on a domestic flight instead! Was it because of a high popularity route so that they had to brought the high density A330?
probably, flight was full, plus they don’t have enough refurbished 330 yet. Thanks Boria!
I like the content of your channel 😊 new subscriber here 😊
thank you, and welcome Ken :D
Your very welcome Jayden im also a fan of flying 😊 im happy you enjoy your stay here in my country the Philippines 😉 im currently watching your jeju air blog and i feel im traveling with you 😊😉 more power to your blog take care 👋
@@kenlumogdang3465 I missed the Philippines! Great people and beautiful sights! Have a wonderful night Ken!
well don good work
thank you :D
Good job,u deserve more subs matey
Thanks for your kind comment Darren :D
Isn't all PR International flights is now departing at T1?
wikipedia: Terminal 2 is exclusively used by Philippine Airlines and PAL Express for both its domestic and international flights.
How long does it take from Philippines to mainland china?
The seats just looks terrible . Also , is the wifi on the plane good ? Here r some of my opinions .
3:12 , no TV !? Oh no.
13:47 , the seat didn't kill you , great pun .
13:51 , Thank God they are refurbishing the A330 . Do you think they shall change the food menu too ?
I didn't use the wifi as always because you have to pay. Their food is amazing! They should keep it :D
One World Flyer on Qatar I got 1 hour free wifi
Thought they use the A350?
they use a mix of A321, A321neo, A330 (old and new), 777 and A350 on this route :D
@@JaydenWong oh ive only been on the A350
Too bad your flight was with the old A330 configuration. PR 300 in the morning is also an A330 but with the newly equipped cabin with much better seats and individual IFEs.
ikr! and some other flights are operated by the new 321neo! Thanks for watching :D
cool video...I subscribe
thank you!!!
The most horrendous 3-3-3 for a FSC. I see why they are doing this but only LCC airlines such as AirAsia and rival Cebu Pacific do this. Thank goodness they're refurbishing these A330s.
yep, didn't even know that this config exist on PAL until seat selection! Thanks very much for watching!
I do wish you were able to try the refurbished aircraft. Jollibee is really good especially the chicken joy and their peach mango pie 👍👍👍. Thanks for flying PAL and as usual another great report. Enjoy the holidays, Jayden!
I loved and missed my every Jollibee meal in the PH! Thanks very much for watching Owen :D
First! I turned on the bell
cheers mate!!
Planning to fly from Malaysia to Tokyo. Might consider flying Philippine Airlines since air fare is cheapest. I do have some concerns:
1) How's the Ninoy Aquino airport in Manila?
2) What's the best part of that airport (besides Jollibee)?
3) Any language barriers?
4) How comfy is Philippine Airlines compared to say, ANA or Japan Airlines?
1) the terminal for Philippine Airlines is pretty small
2) For me check-in and security were pretty fast and easy
3) not at all
4) They're very different and depends on the aircraft type. The A330 I got is extremely old and chances are you'll get nicer ones :)
@@JaydenWong Thanks for replying!
One more thing, how are the passengers on the flight?
Philippine airlines is best
Thanks for watching! And Happy New Year :D
Nice Video,Jayden.
But unfortunately seat too narrow,no TV.The cabin is too old and bad.So is not great service. But only great is food look like tasty.
Overall is worst than EVA AIR and Transasia Airways.
There is a wifi.....
This can be seen on 9:28 , there's a sign that have a wifi logo ( I guess that's the wifi ????)
thanks for watching as always! Food and crew service were top notch despite the condition of the plane :D Looking forward to their refurbished 330
Nice
Nice review, Jayden! That legroom is so awfully tight. And it would be a boring flight without any IFE onboard.
yep thank god I got my sister to annoy😂cheers Yoel!
Does it have a charging port in economy? Thanks
not on this particular plane. the refurbished A330 do
Philippines Airlines have the Best pilot in the world
they do have one of the best, landings were all smooth on my flights with them, and PA were clear and loud :D
thank you for watching!
You haven't ride the PAL's A330 equipped with IFE
unfortunately no. Thanks for watching!
I have to agree with your PAL comment - convenient, but the seats are made for small Filipinos.
true haha, I was like the tallest passenger onboard, I'm only 5'10 178cm, thanks for watching!
I can't believe that they offer 3-3-3 configuration on A330, that's really narrow! Also, Philippine Airline isn't a low cost carrier!
..... Cathay have an old 2-4-2 configuration on their A330 , equally as bad .
yep!! Didn't know they exist until upon seat selection! Good thing is they're getting rid of them. Thanks for watching this one Daniel!
@@JaydenWong they only got rid of 3-3-3 for half of the fleet. The remaining ones that are used on domestic, regional and even Middle East routes retain the tight config.
Agree! It is very narrow. Not comfortable for intl flights.
This is ok for flights within Philippines.
How long does it take from Philippines to mainland China
depends which part of China you're going to, 2 hours to Guangzhou, 5 hours to Beijing... thanks for watching!
Thanks
thanks for watching mate!
Really like how PAL has improved substantially over the past decade, but hoping they can enter an alliance to make those flown miles earning status.
Did you get a chance to see the PAL lounge in Manila? Heard it's not bad, but not great :)
oneworld please!!!!! It'll encourage me to fly PAL a lot more 😝I didn't go to any PAL lounges while I was in MNL or CEB. Thanks for watching this one!
@@JaydenWong agreeeeeed! their fares are also a lot cheaper - like SYD-MNL-JFK for around 4.5K round trip
sorry you had to experience the refugee camp that is MNL. hate going there when i visit family, i try to use CRK but its pricier and less choices. i can't wait for this airport's replacement to be built.
also, that pillow they gave you looked like a giant maxipad #sad
haha thanks for watching! For a capital airport it indeed isn't the nicest, hopefully they will renovate that terminal soon.
@@JaydenWong a replacement airport has been announced, hopefully it can be built in a few years. if we can rebuild LGA here in nyc, there is hope for the world's worst airports. and hopefully new MNL will have better restaurants and bars!
Does Philippines Airline serve balut on its flights?
noooo😂
Philippines airlines has great services but i wish & hope they will put tv screen's on all the seats .
Yep they’re working on that! I hope to fly them again soon, thanks for watching Adam!
how long the flight from Manila to Hongkong?
1 hour 40 mins. thanks for watching!
May charging port po ba sa airplane?
Before I saw your face, I thought you were a small redheaded pom haha nice...fly safely man.
hahaha I don't blame you, thanks for watching!
6:36 you should also try Cebu Pacific
I probably will after the global pandemic :D
加油 我會一直看你視頻
