      Tyson in sparring way different than Tyson in a real pro boxing match.
      I didn't see to many 1 punch BOMB KNOCK OUTS from Bert Cooper, but I seen many 1 punch Bomb Knockouts from TYSON.
      TYSON destroyed Henry Tilman and Carl Williams with 1 Punch Bomb, but COOPER couldn't do the same against them.
      Cooper did drop HOLYFELID, but to put in perspective, the HOLYFELID who fought Cooper was much Smaller and lighter than when he fought TYSON..
      HOLYFELID was at his absolute heaviest prime steroided Muscular PEAK when he fought TYSON...
      Tyson fought the stronger version of HOLYFELID than the one Cooper did.
      You don't believe me , just go on youtube and look at the tale of the tape for both fights, and look at the weight differences with HOLYFELID in both fights.

      @21LAzgoo we McCall wasn't thought of much. He was best known for being Mike Tyson's sparring partner. And then for knocking out Lennox Lewis with one punch. But here, he was just an up and coming C level contender.

    • @30over3
      @30over3 4 года назад +1

      @21LAzgoo we C level fighter means he's solid but not quite championship level. McCall was used mostly for sparring and wasn't ranked in the Top 20. He would get better though, but at this moment he was just a tough opponent for Tony Tucker.

    • @30over3
      @30over3 4 года назад

      @21LAzgoo we Well he was a Don King fighter and Emmanuel Steward was McCall's trainer at the time. And Lennox's trainer, Pepe Correa, gave Lennox horrible advice and yelled at Lennox to simply knock him out. McCall's chin might be the very best at heavyweight and Lennox is known to have an average chin. It was a huge upset that took place in the 2nd round. These things happen. If it went the distance I'm sure Lennox outpoints him.
      McCall was nothing special. Awesome nickname "The Atomic Bull", granite chin, good power, but lacked skills and was known to break down in the ring. Major drug use from major drugs. Even though he was a man's man, McCall was a human being like the rest of us. He will always be known for starching Lennox Lewis in 2 rounds though, so that's an incredible accomplishment.
      All those years of being Tyson's sparring partner paid off. I wonder if he's ever answered the question of who was better between Tyson and Lewis?!?!

      what are you talking about, Tucker was never badly hurt against Tyson, actually he did very very well considering he had a broken hand. Tucker went to fight Lewis and he did better than Biggs and Rudduck by actually going the distance years after this fight. So is not that Tyson ended his career.

      Even in 95 his defeats against serious guys like Akinwande or Orlin Norris will be close, and if I remember correctly he will be NABF champion in 96.
      But even later, Indeed, at nearly 40, Fight Herbie Hide or Ruiz, much much younger and at their prime was too dangerous. There, it was time to stop.
