This is a mischaracterization of Jesus' teaching. He taught that he was the only way to enter the Kingdom of God. Forgiveness is a work, a fruit of the Holy Spirit. But in Christianity, it is not our works that lead to salvation, it's our faith in Jesus Christ who died in our place so we may take his perfect righteousness and be counted as holy, as God is holy - as such, our faith, and the New Covenant that Jesus established, is based on God's Grace. Otherwise, it's a good message.

He's one of them I actually remember the name.

I don't understand the casting in this movie. Jesus died, on the cross, at age 33 and Joaquin looks like he is pushing 60 in this movie. I think it is great that Biblical stories are being put into film but at least get close to the actual story.
