Shinedown probably has a catalog of songs that have never been released. Brent is a genius when it comes to writing music. Watched him battle his demons here in Jacksonville Florida. Nothing but respect for him.
As soon as they did a Hurricane Katrina benefit concert at #freebirdlive at Jacksonville Beach with only like a 8 song set list, I told myself then well Randy you won't be seeing these guys once a month which happened several times in the beginning, then they played about 3 out 10 festivals that #planet #radio promoted. Then it was off and running for #SD headed for the stratosphere. Have caught them twice since the so called pandemic was declared over. Saint Augustine Amphitheatre & The VyStar Jacksonville Memorial Arena.
Just posted on FB how I’ve avoided as many of these as possible in hopes of sitting down and listening someday. Got the chance to meet Brent and Barry this year at separate shows. Incredible humans and inspirations giving hope to others battling their own demons. Choose to be a light instead of a shadow!

This song and a lot of others literally helped me find my daughter last night. Sat under a streetlight didn't know the house she was staying at but I went down the alley and I could feel her and I couldn't walk away and i texted her that I just wanted a hug. Ig she hadn't been getting my texts. And as the fireworks on the video went off, she ran down the backsteps and hugged me. Who couldn't absolutely love shinedown???
This song really needs an official release. I pray that one day we see an album of rarities. This may be their best song, and it never saw the light of day

Every single album is so different but so incredibly awesome. I can't really even pick a favorite. But, Planet Zero is definitely on top, but so is ATTENTION ATTENTION, Threat to Survival... See, they all come up. Monsters, Black Cadillac, Second Chance, Sound of Madness, I'm Not Alright, Hope, Symptom of Being Human, I can go on and on. But where and how did you find this bonus track. I have never seen it listed ANYWHERE. So kudos!!

I sob every time I hear this. It describes how I felt when I was with my mom when she passed from this earth. I would have given anything to keep her, but her suffering was too great. I just wanted her to open her eyes and see me. Fluorescent lights are a trigger for me as our child was born with two rare syndromes and spends too much time in the hospital. Then when my mom passed the buzz was so anxiety inducing for me. I hate them now. Shinedown has this way of reaching inside, opening up your heart and soul and expressing all your emotions in a way you can’t, or bring up ones you didn’t know you had. Love this band. They are literally a lifeline for our family. Our teen met them for their Make A Wish. Worth every moment.❤

@yourpainisagift It was given out by the band themselves as a tour sampler back in 2016. I don't think Shinedown is butthurt this got out at all. And it's been on SoundCloud for a long while.

I am a big Shinedown fan, but I honestly didn't know the existence of this awesome track! I would bet that it derives from "Amaryllis" (not from "Threat To Survival"), because it has a strong Amaryllis-esque vibe. Be that as it may, it's a wonderful power ballad which showcases Brent Smith's astonishing voice! 😊🎤🎧🎵🎶

And it is reasons like this as to why of the hundreds of songs they put out, I only listen to the 100 or so that I have heard or learn from now. I leave the older gems until they hit my ear at a "random" time.. I have not heard a track by these guys that isnt pure class in some way.. this one I never heard, and its as if I knew it all along. This was an amazing show. I was standing on the floor in virtually the same spot. This came during a really low part in my year. It's healing to re-watch it now and remember how much this song helped me through my darkest days. Thank you for sharing this. I hope it continues to help others overcome their hard days too.
