OMG. Nick could not be more wrong with this take. I knew he’d say something like that unfortunately. He just can’t handle that Joey is so loved. There was nothing wrong Joeys response. Maria came into the conversation in a very dramatic way, not just sharing her concern but immediately started off with “I’m not cut out for this so I’m leaving.” She was so manipulative because I think he’s used to getting what she wants. I can totally see why he responded the way he did & he absolutely did kind of affirm her but he def set a boundary by not running after her. She realized he wouldn’t and came back all collected & cool. This whole time, Joey has been so present with the women, so empathetic & gentle. I just think he could read through the bs. Think about it…Kelsey shared similar thoughts and concerns but the WAY she did it, his final thoughts were “wow she’s in here for the long haul & I trust her.” Whereas Maria only cared about herself in that moment. And his final thoughts were “I can’t trust her” I totally see why he probably felt like her behavior was problematic. He even said “listen this is just as hard for me as for you.” Especially after all the drama she was part of. I can totally see why girls had problems with her!
Agreed, he is way off and needs to rewatch. Joey was soo good in the way he responded to Maria’s temper tantrum, he shut her ass down. I actually was indifferent to Joey UNTIL this.
Nick is just jealous of Joey: he can't handle the fact that another bachelor could be more successful than him... he only enjoyed talking about the bachelor when it was on a downard trend and fans didn't love the bachelor so he could maintain his self appointed status as the "last popular bachelor"
That conversation they had definitely didn’t indicate why the girls LIED on her and fabricated every single interaction they had to villainize and bully her. They were envious. Do not conflate the 2, Sydney.
my thoughts exactly every time he recaps the bachelor: you can tell Nick doesn't even like talking about the show now that it's someone who's more successful than he was back in the glory days of the show. he only liked talking about it when the show was going downhill and people were $hitting on the bachelor so he could maintain his position of power and claim to be the "last popular bachelor."
Nick misrepresented Joey so badly. It pissed me off. Joey didn't use Bachelor language in his conversation with Maria. He spoke to her like they've had other discussions about their relationship. He said she always discredits what they have.
So confused by his take on Joey’s conversation. Joey did show empathy in that conversation! He didn’t come off as annoyed, but truly disappointed that Maria might leave.

Lmao can we just for one moment realize that Joey and Maria are human beings and are valid in what they felt. I think calling it a "power play or move" by Maria negates the fact that hey, maybe her emotions just got to the best of her and she was spiraling. I think she had to come to a moment of understanding that her emotions did get to the best of her. For Joey, I think he seemed overwhelmed and tried to handle it or assure her the best way he could. I think the contestants obviously know what they signed up for but it seems like once you're actually in it, it can get to the best of you. As for who can become the bachelorette, I think all the girls that are in the top would be great but I do feel like we need to see the show navigate differently than what America would be used to seeing...
Totes agree. And I’m sure they are kind of exhausted by this point and feeling doubtful all the time, and jealous, and out of sorts while having to compete, literally against the other women in a lumberjack thing, which I personally would find a little humiliating if I was already feeling insecure. 2:25:23 I think you’re over exaggerating Nick. I don’t think Joey ever actually used “bachelor language” toward Maria. He said that she always downplayed how great of a connection they have. Sure, he appeared agitated -which I know you reasonably acknowledged as him possibly having a bad day - bc he’s human, but beyond that, he didn’t really use “you should b grateful you’re here Maria, you’re top 4,” language. If you’re saying he implied it, I mean, what else was he supposed to say? He said they had a great connection. What else? She put him in a tough position and I agree w the guest that Maria absolutely expected him to chase after her or bend over backwards to validate her. I kinda felt hurt on her behalf when he didn’t get up from that couch lol and that might b indication that she is not who he’s gonna choose whatsoever since he didn’t really try to get her to stay. But in his defense, he wants to be chosen and shouldn’t have to beg anyone to stay. He could’ve at least put in more effort though. He didn’t. But apart from that, he didn’t use bachelor obnoxious lingo.
The one thing bravo has shown this season is that they think we’re stupider when we are..when in fact they are. It’s so insulting that these episodes were filmed and edited and everyone in that process thought this narrative was okay to put out..bc we’d fall for it. It’s insulting they think we’d actually feel any sympathy for that narcissist. The cast may not be emotionally intelligent and thrive in toxicity and chaos, but us normal folks don’t.
I love Joey, but I do see a bit of a people pleaser in him that is often begging for a break. He is a whole mature man, but he always does what he’s expected to do and I think that doesn’t let him assert himself the way he wants to sometimes. That’s the dichotomy he keeps dealing with - the suffering he talks about that none of us are taking time to think about as an audience. Nick is calling that out. The reaction with Maria was the first time we saw him just express an emotion that can be perceived negatively outside of yourself. He’s tired of having to magnify this do-gooder, and when Maria voiced expectations that are already at the forefront of Joeys worry, out loud, he snapped. It’s too many expectations. I’m not saying Joey isn’t genuine. The difference between him and other bachelors is that he isn’t as two-faced and has a little bit more self control to pull off this kind of restraint. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t think mean things every now and then that we would be outraged to hear. Human. Joey goes through life trying to perfectly meet everyone’s expectations of him being this mature and sweet guy. Only problem is, he bottles his frustrations to never seem like the bad guy, and the bachelor is forcing him to bring this out because the entire show is beyond the level of socialization that happens in real life. He has mastered putting his feelings down to not affect someone else, to the point that on this show, there are so many women to assuage, he’s snapping to the other extreme. He’s human, and perfectly capable of being selfish. For some, being seen in this “amazing man” light, in itself is selfish, even if it seems so selfless to us women who are at the receiving end of the attention. Hot take, but Nick is one of the best podcast hosts for reality television that I’ve ever seen. He is so incredibly perceptive and somehow doesn’t fear being hated on for hard truths 😂 That said, I do think Joey kinda irks him, and I hear what ppl say about jealousy and blah blah but honestly, I think he just sees something and is frustrated that nobody sees that it’s a little bit of a front, as caring as Joey is. For anyone that doesn’t believe the charity comment, joey’s own family noticed this - which is VERY telling. We know how it looks when a person we’re close to changes their personality for someone. I’ve seen way more chemistry between Joey and some of the lesser contestants this season than I EVER saw with Charity. They kissed to avoid talking tbh. In reality, he just wants Joey to be real with himself so everyone else can see deeper into him too. He really doesn’t have to be this perfect man all the time, it’s human to snap. Rant over, book in progress, lmao
Wow Nick. You understand having to release texts if it proves your innocence yet you raked Blake over the coals for showing the truth against Caelynns allegations.

Nick your wrong! The reason why Joey is so loved is because of how authentic and genuine he is. Showing emotion and expressing the fact that he’s afraid of being rejected is him being vulnerable. Maria triggered that, the girls are exactly spot on, she was expecting him to chase her. He was shocked that she would even consider leaving because he thought they had a good connection. You’re the only one that is seeing it like this I can guarantee it!!!!
Jess is a really good person. Chelsea isn’t a good friend. She brought up the Megan Fox conversation to Jimmie knowing very well he was also dating the most beautiful girl on the show (Jess), she didn’t say it to Trevor because even though she had a better connection with him, she only went after jimmy to feel that she was beating the pretty girl. It’s unfortunate that Jess doesn’t see that and Chelsea took advantage.
Jimmy told Chelsea his celebrity lookalike which wasn't aired and that guy is much hotter than Jimmy so was he disingenuous too? Also Jimmy said that Jess got a good edit because she mentioned how hot she was in the pods often.

I think Joey called Maria’s bluff and was firm with her. Cuz Maria wasn’t just saying that she was struggling-she was saying that she couldn’t handle it anymore and was leaving. It felt like an act from Maria to get a reaction from Joey. And Joey was like look this is what it is. I think Joeys annoyance was valid and that doesn’t make him an asshole.

What’s weird tho is while he displayed empathy in their original couch discussion , during the rose ceremony when he took her aside, he told her he didn’t understand where she was coming from when she said that. I was like..huh? Weren’t you in that spot before and didn’t you validate her feelings during the conversation? So he sorta contradicted himself
And his final thoughts were “I can’t trust her”
I totally see why he probably felt like her behavior was problematic. He even said “listen this is just as hard for me as for you.”
Especially after all the drama she was part of.
Having 100k subscribers and sassing her being late is wild lmao ur lucky to have her on she’s a hot topic
Nick acts like he has 1 million subscribers every day
Nick is so jealous of Joey
my thoughts exactly every time he recaps the bachelor: you can tell Nick doesn't even like talking about the show now that it's someone who's more successful than he was back in the glory days of the show. he only liked talking about it when the show was going downhill and people were $hitting on the bachelor so he could maintain his position of power and claim to be the "last popular bachelor."
This narrative is pretty tired. He critiques every single lead but he’s jealous of this one 💀
Why?
You guys mocking Chelsea is so distasteful.
Nick is so mean for no reason.
He likes the validation he gets from gossiping with younger, agreeable women.
It's giving bitchy gay honestly
Nick misrepresented Joey so badly. It pissed me off. Joey didn't use Bachelor language in his conversation with Maria. He spoke to her like they've had other discussions about their relationship. He said she always discredits what they have.
So confused by his take on Joey’s conversation. Joey did show empathy in that conversation! He didn’t come off as annoyed, but truly disappointed that Maria might leave.
Nick is just jealous of Joey because we finally have a bachelor that is looking to be more successful and popular than Nick was in the glory days of the Francise
@@iron_Xtreme Was Nick popular? I am not a fan so I did not watch his Bachelor season.
@@socorroarranz969 his season was in the era when the show was more popular, and he's claimed he was the last Bachelor that the fanbase actually liked, which is why I think he's so threatened to have Joey whose both beloved by the fanbase and having a successful season of the show

He definitely came off agitated. Like it was even in his face. I remember laughing as he was looking at her while she was talking abt her feeling unsure bc his face looked like “bxtch are u serious? I’m so tired of you” 💀 But what matters is he HANDLED it well and didn’t allow his agitation to deter their communication. He definitely didn’t fight for her which tells me she ain’t gonna b his final 2 but that was his choice.
It’s so obvious that Jess is used to being the hot girl that guys always go for on looks: unpopular opinion, but as iconic as her speech was, I think she was throwing a temper tantrum about getting rejected, and wanted him to know just what he was missing on the looks that normally give her an upper hand with guys.
THANK YOU! I thought the speech was more so she couldn’t handle being rejected
Couldn't agree more. Pretty baffled by all the praise she got for that.
I agree!!!
I would have done the same! I love her confidence.
I think that's ok.
Nick you’re saying that Joey didn’t empathize or say that he understands Maria’s situation. But he did…
What’s weird tho is while he displayed empathy in their original couch discussion , during the rose ceremony when he took her aside, he told her he didn’t understand where she was coming from when she said that. I was like..huh? Weren’t you in that spot before and didn’t you validate her feelings during the conversation? So he sorta contradicted himself
To be honest, I agree with Nick on this one. I would have not felt comforted at all if I were Maria
When I first heard Jess' epipen comment, it didn't occur to me that she was talking about how she looked. I only took it as "you'll see what you missed out on." Just me? Lol
Same here because she was talking about the type of woman she was and what type of wife she’d be. She seemed genuinely disappointed that she put all her eggs in one basket & didn’t fall in love with anyone else.
I didn't like the comment at all because Jimmy has anaphylactic allergies so his epi pen shouldn't be mocked like that?
I took it as looks when I first heard it. But she’s smart and worded it in a way that could have double meaning so she doesn’t look like a villain
If that were the case, she would value her looks above anything else. I did not see that from her before or after
@@joanna0988wait what? He is actually allergic to where he would need an epipen?? I didn’t know, if true that’s a terrible thing to say.
I wholeheartedly disagree with Nicks take on the way Joey handled things with Maria, Joe handled it BRILLIANTLY! It was sooo good
I didn't like the insinuation that Jess was being dishonest about her experience by not outright talking down on her cast members. It would benefit no one to say anything harsh/blunt or controversial.

I don’t like at all how you were mocking but Chelsea and also invalidating the things Jess, YOUR GUEST just said. Like you’re judging her for being attractive and insisting that’s all she relays on but she is so much more
I think the comments were so rude from y’all about parents at the 1:12 mark. “Look at the parents to get an idea of what they will age like” that was unnecessary and so shallow.
Agreed!
It’s true though, it’s genetics
Nick might as well tattoo Joey hater on his forehead atp. Fans finally love the bachelor and all nick can do is shit on him week after week
he can't handle the fact that another bachelor could be more successful than him...
he only enjoyed talking about the bachelor when it was on a downard trend and fans didn't love the bachelor so he could maintain his self appointed status as the "last popular bachelor"
I honestly think he was just tired of Maria. For like two-three weeks it was drama involving her, then he kicked off all the ones who had an issue with her, and she turned around and pulled a fake “I’m gonna leave” moment. That’s annoying.
I will never feel bad for, or think differently of Tom Sandoval until he’s answered for recording a women without her knowledge. He’s a fucking predator
Exactly! He's disgusting. Can't convince me he was thinking those dark thoughts. He doesn't have an once of regret of what he did.
This is literally the only correct take
Totes agree. And I’m sure they are kind of exhausted by this point and feeling doubtful all the time, and jealous, and out of sorts while having to compete, literally against the other women in a lumberjack thing, which I personally would find a little humiliating if I was already feeling insecure. Tough crowd.
Chelsea came off as so so so insecure! So I don’t blame Jimmy for what we saw.
Why was Nick being so rude towards Jessica?😢
This podcast is so two-faced. No way you’re doing commentary within the same video you had jess in. Good job you’re so aware and everyone sees it 🏆 (The validation you seek is alarming and noticeable to everyone)
I think it’s so obvious from the edit that Maria is going to paradise, Daisy is going to be bachelorette, and Kelsey is getting engaged to Joey
Sounding like mean girls laughing at Chelsea
She did see what he looked like when she met up with Laura at the bar. He tried to follow her on IG.
LIB is 100% NOT the show a parent should be going on and that's so irresponsible for her to say. they get engaged to someone they've spoken to through a wall for 10 DAYS and then go on vacation with them for another week before they go live with them and then get married to them WITHIN 2 MONTHS OF EVER SPEAKING TO THE OTHER PERSON. IDGAF how many times the people on these shows insist they know these people. There's only so much you can talk about in that time span. They ARE STILL STRANGERS. She really thinks it's a good idea for single parents to be MOVING RANDOM PEOPLE IN WITH THEIR CHILD that they "met" 2 months ago???? girl come tf on fr
She just went on here for fame. She left her kid for 2 weeks to film then left her again to film Perfect Match.
eXACTLY
a 20 minute interview before the show even finished? this would have been way better after LIB aired
Right.
I love how Jess has nothing but respectful nice things to say about the cast
2:20:49 exactly. Maria had no plans of leaving. She was looking for Joey to beg her to stay. He knew it and he was exhausted by it.
This is giving very much mean girls club vibes..
I noticed that without Amanda this podcast can quickly turn “mean girls”.
On the show you could see that Chelsea was VERY different in front of people than she was when she and Jimmy were one on one. Scary.
idc what anyone thinks of chelsea but nick imitating her whining the amount of times he did (and laced with disgust too) was extremely off-putting, nasty, not funny, and just cruel. the pile up is unnecessary
Can’t wait for Thursday!
Never clicked so fast 😂
as a woman with platonic male friends.... i take a step back and make an effort to become friends witb thier GFs when thet enter relationships. I would never want thier GFs to not feel like the #1 spot and would never want to cause insecurities. I genuinely want my male friends to thrive... and never have been intimidate. Its SUCH red flags that Jimmy ex fuck buddy isnt taking a step back ans honoring his new relationship. I think shes still marking her territory.
This show just dropped the ball for me not getting jimmy on camera seeing her and not getting Sarah Ann meeting up with Jeramy
Just a tip for true luxury fashion. The most expensive items offered by these luxury fashion houses do not actually have external labels. It is the least expensive items offered by luxury brands that have the logos all over. They are still expensive but they are the cheapest things offered by the brands. Haute Couture has no visible label, only Ready-to-wear has a logo.
She is a hot momma with confidence and is completely self sufficient! She had every right to say what she did! Because she is the total package. Brains, beauty, strength and light. Don’t ever try to dim her light she wouldn’t have it. One self diffident single mother to another.
How is she a single mother when she can be gone for weeks filming a show? She's a co-parent at best.
It was the "oh are you sure its graham" 10 seconds before James walked in for me 😂
I feel sorry for Chelsea . This is bullying
I'm surprised Jess is revealing so much😮
Am I the only one who agrees with Nick on Joey?
I couldn’t agree more with Nick about Joey and Maria. I knew I could count on him for this take! Thank you Nick!
lol--well the two of you are the only ones
He is so incredibly perceptive and somehow doesn’t fear being hated on for hard truths 😂
That said, I do think Joey kinda irks him, and I hear what ppl say about jealousy and blah blah but honestly, I think he just sees something and is frustrated that nobody sees that it’s a little bit of a front, as caring as Joey is.
I’m convinced software sales on love is blind means they work at t-mobile or Verizon 😂
Wow Nick. You understand having to release texts if it proves your innocence yet you raked Blake over the coals for showing the truth against Caelynns allegations.
Jess voice makes Mila Kunis voice from that 70 show sounds soulful to my ears.
good takes, Nick
Nick is not a good interviewer. He would say some responses that are kind of judgey or dismissive to Jess’s statements. She was about to stand up for Chelsea talking about how appearance comes up and he just dismisses it. This is my first time listening to this podcast and the guy seem like a dbag
Should definitely get Brittany/Ken on here. There has to be a lot that we missed.
I’ve been waiting for this one 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Nick thank you for bringing up the dolphins!! I thought the same. Broke my heart to see those dolphins in that small area in captivity. Humans are horrible.
I was wondering if they're captive or can come and go because those enclosures would be pretty easy for a dolphin to jump over.
I don't understand the confusion about Dorit's outfit. She's very vocal about her support of Israel seeing as her dad is Israeli. I just assumed this is a shout out to her heritage...
I see that Basquiat book
Jess is amazing! She is not only a girls girl and beautiful, her confidence is an attractive quality. Jimmy’s attractive quality was his voice…and that’s it…
Last November?! They filmed and edited that quickly?
The reminance of valentines decor in the vase next to nick lives rent free on this podcast
Anyone notice nick always invites (for the most part) attractive guests lol
I have noticed that actually, also I wonder why he doesn’t invite black entertainment people who also have a take on LIB and Bachelor and. House wives. Jessie woo is amazing Carlos king, nene leakes, Cameron from LIB
He invites the “cool kids” of each show - and for sure overlooks POC.
@@tgrami795 if we’re talking about the cool kids then this ain’t IT! He invited all the ‘cool kids’ and still sitting on less then 150k subscribers. Meanwhile other minority RUclipsrs in the same entertainment industry have surpassed him!
Ps am tired of him since I found out he’s about to marry a childbride! He’s 43 dating a 20 year old who’s 24 now
Maria was threatening to leave! That triggered Joey and reminded him of the reality of the situation. And it looked like she was manipulating him. That would be frustrating.
She wanted reassurance and he didnt give her that so i wished she understood that he wasnt into her that much, and actually saved herself and left.
I completely AGREE WITH NICK ABOUT Sarah ann and Jeremy
Agreed! I thut Jenn was going to make it further than Rachel or Kelsey. I was excited for the cocktail party of the rose ceremony so disappointed it got canceled
Casting people with huge Instagram followings is a huge red flag and recipe for disaster!
Rachel still never talked one on one with Ariana… no respect
Can anyone tell me what happened to Ally? Why does nick have all new people except for keeping Amanda? Maybe I missed it but I’m just curious
Amanda left to do her own thing I believe. Ali is still there.

It hasn’t been shown yet lmao
@@alexandria65 hence the “I can tell”

I think Jared Fried has the best take on Love is Blind about attractiveness. He says Love is at least a 7. Yes there are some that are more attractive than others but no one is “unattractive.”
Y’all forgot to mention that she said that one of her best friends is her ex boyfriend
This is the episode where i remember what i like about Nick, insight and frankness re the Bachelor
Random thought, I think Jess & Tyler Cameron would be so cute!! Especially with him saying he’s ready for commitment & settling down 🥰
Jess is so nice ❤
I went to a taping joeys season on the talent show group date and the way Kelsey and Joey kept looking at each other and smiling I knew she was gonna be top 2
LiB cut scenes would do better than the scenes that make the show
Today was the last day I listening to this. Since Amanda left it just got a different vibe and not that great. But till today I tried to give it a chance and now I can’t stand the fact this guy. I’m not a joey fan but nick is trying to hard to put him down and it sounds very jealous for me. I heard some stuffs about Nick in LA and honest it make so much sense now. He just want so hard to be famous lol also heard his wife has something to do with Amanda exit! And I’m not surprised
I enjoy Nick's recap of BN overall. I always make a point to listen/watch bc he is so entertaining. "Sure go ahead stick your tongue down my throat" 😂😂
It makes sense they’re all in sales because that’s why they were so good at selling themselves to producers and the women.
To be fair, Chelsea said “I’ve been told I look like Megan fox but I don’t see it.”
On LIB Brazil there were a few parents
I actually agree with Nick in that Joey didn't empathize with Maria in the way she needed. Being emotional is valid and Maria being scared and feeling insecure isn't a crime. She's allowed to feel what she feels and vocalize that, I don't think it was a "power move" by any means. Maria would be a great bachelorette, Daisy is nice but we've had like 6 Daisies as bachelorettes, we need someone outspoken and spunky like Maria.
Jess is off base about Ken, Ken started icing her out and thats why Brit lost her feelings for him. He convinced her in that time, that she was the reason for them having to break up. He's a seemless manipulator, got everyone fooled with his gentleman like demeanor.
100% agree with Nick. Why has no one said this. Yes she seemed clingy, yes she was whiny, yes she was annoying. Like let’s not pretend that wasn’t so cringe
and the reason she got SO offended when Jimmy called her out with his blunt honesty about it was bc it hit home
