I tried to play like yngwie, but my fingers baroque
iMatagora gave me a laugh 😂
iMatagora I cant Handel this joke 😹
Me too, but I keep going Bach for more.
hahah
😆😆😆😆😆
No one has ever explained Yngwie this good and I been a fan since the start.
How can anyone not like bumblefoot? The guy openly shares all his knowledge matter-of-factly straightforward God bless bumblefoot
Ron Thal is fucking impressive.
love how the cam goes to the wrong angle every time he plays
Yeah! WTF???
LfunkeyA 30 degrees and out of focus
actually his picking hand much more interesting to see. in this video he just demonstrates. there is no teaching involved.
@@paulschneider7271 How you pick is definately a tad bit more important
he was switching pick ups when it is unplugged
+Chol Pak I was plugged into a Vox ToneLabEX for this series of videos, with a
direct out going to the video recorder. The video editors decided not to use the Vox's
audio channel, they felt it was too distorted and sounded better without...
Bumblefoot thanks for the reply. I saw you in the Phlippines playing Sweet Child with a local band named Razorback. Hoping to see you again
+Michael Craig How about using your ears? Maybe that'd help when it comes to music...
+Chol Pak yea he`s crap
+Michael Craig stop relying on tab and you'll improve your chances of being able to play it. You don't have to be rude to Bumblefoot.
My god his playing is so clean. Great teacher as well.
One of the best guitariste, the elite and i like his funny side
As a guitar teacher, I love the fact that he is a VERY good teacher. By that I mean he can clearly explain what he is trying to teach without confusing the student or getting carried away with trying to impress. Excellent!
i just gained a whole new respect for sir foot of the bumble !
"Something like that."
Exactly like that.
Something tells me he played far beyond the sun way too much lol
What a cool guy Ron Thal is!
I love how accurate he sounds without using an amp ! Impressive
exactly hahaha
best way to practice actually, unplugged in a small room!!!!
Five bucks says Ron Thal figured this whole thing out in fifteen minutes in his bedroom when he was 14. Music has no mysteries for this man.
+Nano B The 18 people who have like your comment so far either know you're joking or they know nothing about guitar
+Rusty Shackleford Heh, I don't know man. The dude has legit perfect pitch.
+Nano B - I think your comment takes away from the work Mr. Foot put in to become so good at the craft.
+Kenan B Just pointing out his ridiculous level of natural ability. No doubt he has worked hard.
+Nano B No he didnt
It's actually refreshing hearing someone plays Yngwie's stuff acoustically. Bumblefoot is the man!!
Ampless or unamplified is not the same as
acoustic(=an actual acoustic instrument)
He teaches Yngwie's music better than Yngwie does hahaha
Youre reading my mind!
ViAaRo Not funny.
the devil cried No, he actually knows about what he's talking about. Yngwei's music is repetitive and cliche, there's nothing new to discover. Although I have to say I like what he was doing in the 80s
Matej Fele Agree. Bumblefoot picked apart Yngwie's theoretical approach and sees that there isn't much there under the surface. The most difficult aspect is the speed, which can be gained with patience and a metronome.
jspartacus - Sure, after almost 40 years of analyzing & critiquing anyone's style worthy of praise will "fail" under that kind of scrutiny. I'm sure EVH could be picked apart as well (actually Bumblefoot's video on him is mushc shorter - go figure). The fact of the matter is that Yngwie was ahead of his time in his day and that day was about speed. All I know is that the end result, the pure energetic cacophony of his electric prowess mixed with his passion & emotion for Classical music was moving to say the least.
EVH's Erruption was all anyone talked about until Yngwie blazed the beginning solo to Steeler's 'Hot on your Heels'.
Wow! Ron is the first guy I’ve watched who can ACTUALLY explain Malmsteen’s technique to you. Nice 😎
wow. He's got major low action. That buzz is really present.
As long as it’s not coming through the amp it’s fine.
It seems normal to me. Stop being amazed by non-existent problems with famous guitarists' setups
Oh, sorry I commented. Please forgive me????
@@leviackk Oh, sorry I commented. Please forgive me???
Ron is amazing. Yngwie is without question one if the most important guitarists ever in terms if influence on guitar he's top 5
That was cool...with no amps sound, still crystal clear tone I can hear it
Mindofjunk look. Yngwie made it he bum copyd. It that's. All I have to say
Funny is how he is always checking the pickup position (toggle switch) and the volume knob, even without an amp. You are a legend
He explained above that he was running through a vox amp, but the producers decided not to use the amplified track.
Wow this is by far the best analysis and breakdown of Yngwie's technique I've ever seen. Thanks so much Ron.
I love this so much. Bumblefoot is Yngwie, like in real life.
Never even bothered to listen to this guy before today!!!! Wow, I'm Impressed... Great guitarist with awesome technique. I dig how he's playing without an amp, but it's funny how he keeps checking his volume knob?? Way cool man!!!
They had it set up to record the amp directly instead of moving the amp. The editors decided it was to distorted so the removed the distortion. He was actually hear the amp when recording the video.
Scientific approach, that is how you do it when teaching anything! 3:56 and lets put all together. Thank Ron, you are the legend!
This guy is pretty darn good!!!!!
Thanks so much for sharing. Love Bumblefoot. What a nice guy and killer guitarists.
I’m not his fan but he deserves all respect due the respectful way he talks about Yngwie giving to him the credit he really deserves.

Hats off to my buddy Ron bumblefoot

Actually kind of proud to say i got to stand on a stage for a few minutes with this man. His playing is so damn amazing!
**plays most amazing thing ever**
"something like that"
Your talent is amazing Ron !!! Great teacher too.
Very cool. Thanks for that, kind sir. Your technique is absolutely flawless.
If even a freaking awesome guitar player like Bumblefoot pays his respect for Malmsteen, so who the hell am I to disagree.
could you turn down a little?
Funny how he instinctively works the volume knob even though he's not plugged in o_O
intrsoul
That's what I thought and I was happy about it because the same happens to me when I play an unplugged electric...
But he was actually plugged into some modeler but they didn't use that audio because it sounded like crap, he explains it somewhere around here.
Turn DOWN for what?
Humor...hellooooo !
No way, you'll miss the toneful plink
Bumblefoot is soooo awesome of a player.
Keeps saying, " he did" HE STILL DOES and is still just as awesome!
+Gacy x Hes talking about when he did "Far beyond the sun" song,
He’s referring to when Yngwie still composed
Beast mode!
i just saw you in Houston at BFE. you were such a cool guy and totally lived up to being worthy of a traveling guitar guru. what a beautiful life you have created for yourself.
i pray you trust in Jesus.
People should be making videos about how to play like bumblefoot. Dude is a god
I love how he teaches us, he is so humble.
I love when he doing the projec music with the Indonesian musician....
Incredible. So clean!
Great !!
Yngwie Johann Malmsteen
True Inspiration
Thanx
to
Ron Bumblefoot Thal
What a great guitarist!
Great Teacher and Musican.
the thing that amazes me is that you can still hear each note of his playing with the guitar unplugged.. wow
Back in the 80s this would have been tantamount to a magician showing people how all the tricks are done.
Massive respect for this guy.
"did". He's still alive and kicking my kind sir.
Bumblefoot used to play along with Yngwie during Yngwie's soundcheck on the Guitar Gods tour and i could swear there was at least one time where Yngwie stopped playing and you could hear Ron still playing Far beyond the Sun lol! Super nice guy and out of this world guitar player
Incredible
Awesome lesson !!! Thanks !!!
Excellent teacher!

Woooowwwww this mate plays amazing!!
I love the fact that the guitars not plugged In oddly enough
This guy is too much...
he sounds fantastic on an unplugged electric guitar, striped down, with no amp or distortion.. playing Yngwie. Clean, masterful, guitar virtuosity!
Bad-ass. Love this!
Awesome.
no effects at all on electric guitar and you still hear all notes... this guy is an alien
Great video!
Outstanding!
What a fucking class ACT! WOW!
Ron thal is fantastic
Jeez. Just busting out beyond the sun like its hot cross buns. Bravo Bumblefoot, bravo.
awesome lesson!!! thanks!!!
I love it!!!
Holy crap!!! Amazing!
I love how he switches the pup selector. Old habits die hard
In other comments Mr. Thal explains he was plugged in, they just decided to leave out the amp feed for this video because of sound issues.
OMG... so effortless...
The buzz on the low E string is killing me. Ron!!!
ron, you are a master instructor... and a really cool guy..lol...imho.... thank you my unknown friend.
amazing
Very good explanation.
Good teaching
Bumblefoot is the perfect example of what a guitar god is.
hes freaking fantastic
Very clear tone...
really really good. Great distillation
Great!
YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT Yngwie❤
Ron
Well done👍👍👍
Well put man! 🤘👌 amazing
He is basically playing far beyond the sun. The intro & outro. And some licks from I'll see the light tonight. Good stuff
god i love this guy
Nice video thanks for the upload
Awesome breakdown of YM style. And, man, Ron Thal can nail it ! W/O an amp!
Whoooosh! The sound of this lesson blowing right over my head. Brilliant guitarist.
Ron is just a killer guitar player!
Cool, I love Malmsteen and that was a nice snapshot of some of his motifs. I think Yngwies' style is so refined that he can't play any other way - and why should he!
Bumblefoot himself is a tremendous musician and an impossible guitar player, he has a fair sized back catalog for you to check out, all different and all great.
jeez this guy is 1 of the most impressive unplugged electric playing I’ve seen.
It's not just what he plays but the way he plays it so much more , not only fast but so dynamic, 4X his picking is not only precise and perfectly linear but also percussive , even listening to you pull off all the notes so precisely sounds like a different guitarist playing Yngwie material, when Yngwie plays somehow you know its him playing, he accents notes (for example every 1st, 3rd or 4th note in the scale or lick) slightly harder even during those lightning fast scales and arpeggios and he picks really hard and articulated perfectly to his left hand... he truly is a freak & a genius, love him or hate him, there is only one Y.J. Malmsteen , + he has every right to love himself, he knows how good he is!
Dammn Ron you play that so clean.. Props ma nizzle
