@@cyounger5716 Poor Randy, voted worst starting QB in Packers history. 😂 Yes, I agree that everything looked shabby with Randy Wright. To his credit, he made his life in Wisconsin, runs a business & a football camp there. He was a 6th round pick without elite skills who had to learn the NFL version of the position without a true training program. Mike McCarthy put Aaron Rodgers in what he called his “ quarterback college.” Hope the Falcons do the same for Penix. Truth be told most QBs, especially those drafted in late rounds, don’t get a true developmental plan/program & have to figure it out for themselves.
Don Hutson is a great pick for the Greatest Packer. He was so far ahead of the rest of the league that it is still mind-boggling. It speaks well of Antonio Freeman to give him proper respect like he does here. Leaving Forrest Gregg off this list is indefensible, however. Gregg made the NFL's 100th Anniversary team, meaning he was rated as one of the four greatest tackles in the history of professional football. No disrespect to Bart Starr, but he probably wouldn't make most lists of top 20 quarterbacks. It was wise to include Kramer, but foolish to omit Gregg.
Respectfully, I think saying Bart Starr isn’t top 20 is crazy. Having said that, agree with everything you said. Im glad you didn’t decide to shit on Don Hutson, instead you praised him justly. And yeah, holy shit leaving off Forrest Gregg was fucking criminal. He might be the greatest pure football player in terms of ability at a position that the Packers have ever had.
I will definitely defend Lofton on this list. He is one of the greatest WRs ever. So tall and agile. He even thinks of himself as a Packer. He’s never listed as a Bills great. The problem with Lofton is that in the early 80s, the offense was excellent. Lynn Dickey was a great QB and the 3rd man to ever throw for more than 4000 yards. John Jefferson was also there and the TE Paul Coffman was a Pro Bowler for several years. They had a O line was very strong and they had one of the best offenses in the NFL. Problem was their defense was arguably the worst in the NFL. Several years of 8-8 kept him from really being a nationally known player. But his stats from the time really show just how great he is.
Harry Engel i get your position on this, but that would preclude any Lions player from being on the lists that didn’t involve dumpster fires since 1957. Which at least for me makes those numbers pop. Jim Kelly vs three guys that were forgotten the moment they took the uniform off. I have no issue with someone who remembers him in Buffalo more than Green Bay. If you would ask ten people “when you think of Shaq what uniform is he wearing” 8 of them will say the Lakers and not the Magic. These lists are so subjective that there are really no wrong answers.
I got a chance to have a 30 min conversation with Jerry Kramer and I tried to think of a good question to ask him when it was my turn to talk to him. I asked him who was the greatest athlete he ever played with and he talked about Ray Nitske for 30 mins. He said he could throw the ball 60+ yards.

This is such a hard list to rank since there were so many legendary players who played in different times this list is good I agree, but the list would be different from person to person
Farvre, Holmgren, Reggie White years. Har, har, har. I grew up in NW Wisconsin. Farve, Holmgren, White won one Title. ONE Title. The kick returner was the MVP. Great years? Har, har, har.
The only team that technically won 7 championships in 7 years if you count the NFL Championship game as a separate game from the Super Bowl. Also the only team that won 3 championships in a row and to do it twice
They need to do a Top 10 on players who played for championship teams in the year before/after they won the title. Edgerrin James is a good one. Signed with the Cardinals in the year the Colts won the Super Bowl.
I'm not a Pack fan by any means....but man, look at the history here. 49ers, Pats, Cowboys, Steelers (and everyone else), you got a LONG way to go..... Sorry.
I would have put sterling Sharpe abead of Reggie White, because white is far more synonymous with the Eagles than with the Packers. Don’t misunderstand me though. Reggie White is probably the greatest defensive lineman of all time.
I used to love watching Randall Cunningham bust the Packers, especially when Reggie White went to Green Bay. Cunningham was 4-0 in games vs. the Packers when Reggie was a in Green and Yellow.
I don't see how Starr is not #1. People dog his numbers because they compare him on yards and TDs to either outlier single seasons in the AFL or to modern numbers. But if you look at his QB rating, his completion percentage, his average yards per attempt, and his interception rates, he is in the top 3 in all of those categories during the 1960s. Add in FIVE NFL titles and some insane playoff stats, and I just don't think there's any comparison. He set the standard for quarterbacking, title-winning, and leadership in Green Bay that will live for eternity.
I agree on Hornung. If you look at the money downs for a back, even in the few close games they had during that Lombardi era, Hornung wasn't the guy they went to at his position. I was one of those angry he got into the Hall and Kramer had not.
Did you know that Mike Ditka went 15-5 against Green Bay as a bears head coach from 1982-1992, since 1993-present Chicago has only beaten Green Bay 14 times.the two teams did not meet in 1982 because of the strike shortened season.
So he beat the Packers a lot when they were not very good. Who cares? Something like that is only worth bragging about if you’re beating a team during an area where they were consistently good.
As a die hard Green Bay Packer fan, I'm offended that they put Brett Favre ahead of Bart Starr on this list. Brett Favre threw way too many interceptions in some very big playoff games that Bart Starr wouldn't have thrown. Bart Starr is the quintessential Green Bay Packer Quarterback the same way Ken Stabler is the quintessential Oakland Raider Quarterback, case closed. Bart Starr was 9-1 in the Postseason. No other quarterback in the history on the NFL, including the greatest quarterback in NFL history, Joe Montana, had that winning percentage in the Postseason.
Look at the talent Starr had around him and the system he played for. He didn’t throw as much. Lombardi was his coach too! Did Favre have a good defense, offensive line, and good coaching?
Why would they not put Forrest on the list??? We know Lombardi's opinion on this. Both Forrest and Kramer are top 10 packers ever but Gregg has to be the 1st offensive lineman mentioned
Definitely. I am not a Packer fan and I always enjoyed watching him play, but at some point you got to say: Man, I'm glad he's not playing for my team. He just brings to much hype and expectations only to burry all your dreams and hopes with disastrous turnovers, and god knows there were plenty of those games.
Harry Engel That Favre made the NFL 100th Anniversary team and Bart Starr didn't, is a catastrophic disgrace. I have an all-encompassing lack of respect for each and every single panelist who voted Starr off and Favre on.
Damon Amendollara is usually one of the better talking heads but he clearly knows nothing about Don Hutson and should just keep his mouth shut on this. Don Hutson would be a star today things he’d did and the numbers he achieved stood as records for 40 years. Perfect #1.
Hutson was asked in his later years, with the rules that the NFL has favoring the passing game now, how many catches he would have in a year. Hutson responded, "Probably fifty." The interviewer said, "Really, only fifty?" Hutson, "Well, I AM 70 years old."
I have a hard time putting a WR at #1. He should be on the list, but I don't know about #1. Sterling Sharpe should be there, as well as Aaron Rodgers. My personal #1 would be Starr or Favre, they each accomplished so much in different ways. I grew up a Bronco fan, but I watched a lot of Packer games, because of where I live.
When it comes to Rodgers keep in Mind this aired right after the 2010 season concluded. So Rodgers only had started for three years at that point. He’d be on an updated list
I always respected what Green Bay Packers it all about cause i think that Aaron Rodgers Donald Driver and Antonio Freeman should be recognized as the heart and soul to the Packers franchise history cause they all won super bowl championships honestly Donald Driver should be in the Hall Of Fame too
A lot of those Cowboys credit Herb Adderly with putting them over the hump with his "Get it done" attitude. I love Nitschke and I am a life long Packer fan. And I'd take Dick Butkus over Nitschke. Nitschke was indeed a hell of a player. Butkus was better. I got a pitch for Bart Starr. Starr was a better QB than Unitas. Keith Dunnavant, backed up by stats from Kerry Byrne, makes a VERY strong case for Starr. Oh, Starr played with great talent and coaching. So did Unitas. In 1962 the Packes had what was probably the best rushing team in NLF history. By 1966 they were last in the league in rushing. Starr wins his only MVP and leads the league with a completion percentage of 62.2 and a 105 passer rating Darren, you are showing your ignorance with the comment about Don Hutson. Hutson was the Babe Ruth of football. A guy whose production matched that of other teams. 99 TDs, broken after 44 years.... think of the changes that occurred between the careers of Hutson and Largent.
Where does Aaron Rodgers go on this list if his Packers career is over now? Most likely 4 MVPs and a 1 championship. I think he's in the best Packers player of all time to me but I didn't watch Lombardi Packers. How about Davante Adams? Does he get in?
Well he did win a SB with the Packers. Plus they made such a big deal about him signing with GB during the first free agency, people remember that too. And I believe he went into the HOF as a Packer. Those three things are probably why he is remembered as a Packer.
glad to see Kramer finally got into the HOF

Farvre, Holmgren, Reggie White years. Har, har, har. I grew up in NW Wisconsin. Farve, Holmgren, White won one Title. ONE Title. The kick returner was the MVP. Great years? Har, har, har.
And sorry but Reggie played 8 seasons in Philly & only 6 in GB...he is an Eagle first. He shouldn’t be #4...maybe #10 or at highest #7
If coaches were included on this list, you know Vince Lombardi would be number one!
I'm not a Pack fan by any means....but man, look at the history here. 49ers, Pats, Cowboys, Steelers (and everyone else), you got a LONG way to go..... Sorry.
Yet they all have more SB wins than GB
@@marvinlynch1305 but is the trophy named after their coach?
@@_Boobear_ Nah, but Walsh and Belichick were/are better
@@marvinlynch1305 better than Lombardi? Yeah i don't think so
@@_Boobear_ Absolutely...Paul Brown was also better
Max Mcgee from White Oak TX a legend
How can Forrest Gregg not be in the top 10 ??! C'mon man.
I would have put sterling Sharpe abead of Reggie White, because white is far more synonymous with the Eagles than with the Packers. Don’t misunderstand me though. Reggie White is probably the greatest defensive lineman of all time.
He has trouble with the Dallas Cowboys offensive line!

LOVE this! 💚💛🧀 PS Does anyone know the songs that start at 3:45 and 4:48? 3:45 sounds like Round Up by Sam Spence.
4:48 is The Equalizer by Sam Spence.
Isaac Green Thanks!! 🙏
He set the standard for quarterbacking, title-winning, and leadership in Green Bay that will live for eternity.
...and, as I keep saying, the only championship threepeat in NFL history.
What did Vince Lombardi say around 21:10-21:14?...
The difference between Bart Star and other Quarterbacks, he had more championships and more consistency during his career.
3 reasons why Starr is ahead of Favre -
2001 NFC Divisional
2007 NFC Title
Literally EVERYTHING AFTER that Game.
Willie Wood should be on the list ahead of Paul Hornung...he was one of the best Safeties of the 60s. Hornung was more reputation than actual play.
I agree on Hornung. If you look at the money downs for a back, even in the few close games they had during that Lombardi era, Hornung wasn't the guy they went to at his position. I was one of those angry he got into the Hall and Kramer had not.
Herb Adderley amazes me every time I hear about him! Goat?!
Ticker: "Nick Collins (neck) out for season" 😭
@Harry Engel yes but his career was cut short during the 2011 season
If and when this is updated it'll have Aaron Rodgers, Charles Woodson and Clay Matthews.
Woodson wasn't a Packer for long enough, and Matthews wasn't great for a long enough time. Rodgers is easy top 5 tho, but probably #3 for QBs.
32:03 Cough Cough Matt Ryan.
This is when Top 10 was a good show before they had all those idiot comics who don’t know anything about football ruin it
Damn this is old
Not even an honorable mention for Dave Robinson, one of the greatest outside linebackers of all time??
Why would they not put Forrest on the list??? We know Lombardi's opinion on this. Both Forrest and Kramer are top 10 packers ever but Gregg has to be the 1st offensive lineman mentioned
Not a packers fan but seeing a game there and seeing their history is nothing compared to my broncos
Top 10 Miami Dolphins
How about Top 10 Chicago Bears?
the position thats the most important. 1-rodgers 2-favre 3-starr 4-hudson 5-hornung 6-white 7-nitchske 8-kramer 9-gregg 10-lambeau
In no universe is Brett Favre anywhere close to Bart Starr. Just the sheer number of fatal interceptions is enough to push him off this list.
Definitely. I am not a Packer fan and I always enjoyed watching him play, but at some point you got to say: Man, I'm glad he's not playing for my team. He just brings to much hype and expectations only to burry all your dreams and hopes with disastrous turnovers, and god knows there were plenty of those games.
Milan Barac I'm sure, enshrined in some little known RUclips channel, is a video of all the catastrophic Brett Favre interceptions.
Harry Engel That Favre made the NFL 100th Anniversary team and Bart Starr didn't, is a catastrophic disgrace. I have an all-encompassing lack of respect for each and every single panelist who voted Starr off and Favre on.
3 MVP's, 2 SB appearances, and he personally resurrected them after 20+ years of losing & he was a lot more fun to watch
Plus he retired with every passing record at the time
I think forest greg should of been on here
37:37 it’s 2023 and this aged horrendously
Damon Amendollara is usually one of the better talking heads but he clearly knows nothing about Don Hutson and should just keep his mouth shut on this. Don Hutson would be a star today things he’d did and the numbers he achieved stood as records for 40 years. Perfect #1.
Hutson was asked in his later years, with the rules that the NFL has favoring the passing game now, how many catches he would have in a year.
Hutson responded, "Probably fifty."
The interviewer said, "Really, only fifty?"
Hutson, "Well, I AM 70 years old."
Don Hutson Was Incredible
They need to add A-Rod
Yes Don Huston 🏉 7️⃣/1️⃣4️⃣🏈
I have a hard time putting a WR at #1. He should be on the list, but I don't know about #1. Sterling Sharpe should be there, as well as Aaron Rodgers. My personal #1 would be Starr or Favre, they each accomplished so much in different ways. I grew up a Bronco fan, but I watched a lot of Packer games, because of where I live.
When it comes to Rodgers keep in Mind this aired right after the 2010 season concluded. So Rodgers only had started for three years at that point. He’d be on an updated list
I always respected what Green Bay Packers it all about cause i think that Aaron Rodgers Donald Driver and Antonio Freeman should be recognized as the heart and soul to the Packers franchise history cause they all won super bowl championships honestly Donald Driver should be in the Hall Of Fame too
When it really comes down to it it's Favre #1
I lived in ATL when they offed Brett.....he was no. 3, never really got a decent shot.
VIDEO: greatest players in green bay history
THUMBNAIL: man from philadelphia
Not one mention of Favre asking "what's the capital of Thailand?"
You can thank Jerry Glanville (former Falcons coach) for Brett Favre's presence in Green Bay.
I still can't forgive Jerry for trading him away.
We need one for the New York Giants
Who was Don Hutson side kick at Alabama? The Bear
Starr wins his only MVP and leads the league with a completion percentage of 62.2 and a 105 passer rating
Darren, you are showing your ignorance with the comment about Don Hutson. Hutson was the Babe Ruth of football. A guy whose production matched that of other teams. 99 TDs, broken after 44 years.... think of the changes that occurred between the careers of Hutson and Largent.
31:53 cough cough Pete Carole take notes cough
Jerry Hall Of Famer Kramer #64 7:27
💚💛💚💛
Where does Aaron Rodgers go on this list if his Packers career is over now? Most likely 4 MVPs and a 1 championship. I think he's in the best Packers player of all time to me but I didn't watch Lombardi Packers. How about Davante Adams? Does he get in?
Rodgers is top 3 and Davante is top 15 maybe borderline 11th
I think Aaron would be ranked no. 3 or no. 2 or even no. 1 on that list depending on who you’re talking to.
Starr should be #1. Taylor should be a lot higher.
But Sterling. My families dog and friends children were named Sterling.
Aaron Rodgers would be top 5 now
Before looking at the list I’ll say Don Hutson is #1.
I think reggie is remembered more as a packer but should be remembered as a eagle
Well he did win a SB with the Packers. Plus they made such a big deal about him signing with GB during the first free agency, people remember that too. And I believe he went into the HOF as a Packer. Those three things are probably why he is remembered as a Packer.
i clicked this video to see brett favre
When this is updated or redone Aaron Rodgers must be on this list.
Yup
update for 2022 would include Rodgers, Matthews and Nelson. Rodgers would be top 3.
Sterling Sharpe would have been #1…but God had a different idea
1. Bart Starr
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Brett Favre
4. Don Hutson
and Forest Gregg should be on the list instead of Paul Hornung
