Let me share with you another way similar. I make a milk gravy like yours. Then I add the meat in it and let the gravy soak up the flavors I add seasoning to taste. I turn it off and let it set .The long the better. While that is setting I cook sweet peas with onions and butter until it thickens. Now I'm ready to assemble. When I'm ready for it I reheat it because you'll have to add more milk to thin it out . I toast my bread slightly lay it on my plate spread gravy and meat on top Then add sweet peas on top of gravy. I love this this way . really takes it up a notch .
Brilliant! Not sure if I could try this myself 😂 i just hate it went my bread gets soggy from melted cheese 🙈 I feel like my husband would love it though! I think it’d fall apart if I tried to bite it! Just complete disintegrate in my hands. X
