FIGHT FOOTAGE - you rock, cheers mate 😀
Anyone else think segura just repeats what the last person said ?
Gavin Murphy yup lmao
Yup
Tell the kid to stop saying "you know".
Ariel lowkey dissed the hell out of Matt Serra and them 😂 15:19
He's done it before. Mentioned UFC 'Filtered' while interviewing Matt Serra.
what time marker? (no way I'm watching all this crap)
lol, he dissed him. I hope Matt Serra replies.
Hello there ufc filtered is so cringe
as you liberals say, he clapped back
Luke just schooling everyone on the GSP Nate topic
He's definitely louder but he's also right
In Korea he explained pretty clearly how this fight does effect the immediate title picture not to mention the fight isn't at all competitive, or don't you care about that?
I actually completely agree with Luke. After Nick vs. GSP, Nate vs. GSP does so little for me. I don’t understand how people could want to see that fight, outside of star power. It’s going to be Nate laying on his ass for 3 rounds.
Casual fan fight. If your watching the beat, not really a casual. I dont care to see it either, but i will watch it
unlesssssssssssss at 155 GSP gasses then its interesting.
dkoli Idk, maybe in a 5 rounder, but not in a 3 rounder. It’s grasping at straws.
Mugsey1984 Agreed.
UFC Armchair Cornerman same...really no point to that fight...gsp takes nate down at will...and a slight outside chance of nate getting a submission, but highly unlikely....
Nothing against Danny, but It'd be nice to have someone not tied to MMAfighting...
The intro music into the show is really good. Could use a track like that for weigh ins
FirstTakeFools it’s a good beat.
Thank the gods of yellow mustard, the snot nose barbarian is back!!!
WHERES MY BOY JEFF?
So can you only watch ESPN + on your mobile device and computer? Or can it be watched on your cable or satellite tv?
I’m fed up with these stupid money fights 😎
Great show guys, but what's up with Segura mean mugging the camera at 0:41?
For the people who propped up Mayweather/McGregor to say fights like GSP/Nate Diaz aren't credible is laughable. MMA media is bipolar.
No respectable MMA journalist said Mayweather-Mcgregor was a legitimate contest. Nate Diaz has less of a chance beating GSP than Conor did against Mayweather, which is pretty sad.
NotoriousVC May/Mac was an event, a spectacle. A once in a lifetime event. Nate vs GSP is not a good fight and neither are mega stars for it to be a spectacle.
Coach JG Not even close, McGregor beating Mayweather in a boxing match was as close to an impossibility as you can get in sports.
Coach JG haha that's funny. Ariel himself was a huge pusher of that nonsense fight. To be fair he seems to like this one too
Coach JG What Nate Diaz is actually an MMA fighter unlike Mcgregor who was not a boxer
Luke Thomas had me in stitches at the end
Nobody wants to see the GOAT fight a smaller man who isn't even top 5 in his division. WTF.
i do..
wade derrett causal
wade derrett why? Do you hate exciting or interesting fights?
In Korea I don't understand, do you just not like Diaz and want to see him get beaten up?
The B+ Team.
A 36 year old cutting to 155lbs for the first time in his life is being glossed over. I'm sure this fight is never going to happen, but if it did, it would have to be the main event. Huge difference in this fight being 3 vs 5 rounds. 5 rounds and this fight is far more competitive than many believe.
Thank you Luke a man of reason
When will after the beat be uploaded?
Maybe the UFC is looking to make fight of the year in Yair vs Zabit
IMO, there is a 0% chance that Diaz vs GSP happens at 155 - if they do fight, it will be at catchweight - GSP will only drop to 155 for a 'title' shot - nothing else.
Georges St-Pierre vs. Nate Diaz this we want!
GSP is smart to take his 1st fight at 155 against a style match up that favors him, and will do great ppv sales. Allows him to see how he feels at 155 lbs. winning fights in 3 divisions is awesome. setting up a GSP vs Khabib, Conor orTony sounds good to me. Better then Porier or Eddie.
Is that view behind them for real? If it is, the rent for that studio must be astronomical..
Rodriguez to Bellator would make their 145 division deep with young prospects. Gallagher Mckey Pico. Plus good vets like McDonald pit bull, Strauss, Curran, Sanchez and the German guy.
whaa.. zibit and yair would be dope.. looking for leg to the head finish.. either fighter
The UFC created this Diaz problem when they put him against Conner in back to back fights. Nate made millions from those fights which was way more than all of his other fights combined. He has had a great career and deserves to make the big $.
I miss Jeff..
EVERYONE CUT LIL DANNY A BREAK...HES A GOOD GUY
International I want to watch the new ESPN and Fox fight nights to be on Fight Pass.
when dana announced he was trying to put the gsp nate fight together i automatically thought he was trying to prod conor into the nate fight. ive always liked gsp and love nate diaz but i don't want to see them fight. number one it's nick's fight, why would nate want to take a huge fight from his brother? nate fightng gsp would more or less put the gsp nick fight to bed seeing as nick is getting pretty close to the end of the line. nate wants conor. and i don't care what anyone says, i don't believe conor will fight khabib. conor will fight nate then gsp and pray to god khabib either gets injured permanently or moves up to WW. what are the chances of conor knocking khabib dead before he gets taken tp the ground and mauled to near death? havent we seen too many times that the big striker can never land the big shot unless his opponent is trying to strike also? with the belt on the line khabib would come out 100% wrestling. has anyone ever seen a striker get the knockout when the wrestler is having nothing to do with striking and his intent on getting the fight to the ground?
Guys, this is just the first episode with the "new guy" after Jeff quits. The veterans are just initiating the replacement.. Let it be. No hand-me-outs. He'll find his way.
i would like to see gsp fight again 170 would be ideal against woodley but if he wants to try 155 i think he can do it because fighters like kevin lee, nate, eddie alvarez float close to 200 when not in camp gsp was always somebody who stayed close to his weight he maybe walk around 185
Damn Luke roasted Danny, Also surprised how casual Danny's knowledge is in MMA when its his job
If GSP was blowing blood out his ass to make 185, what the hell is going to happen to him to get down to 155??
Just as I was about to defend Danny he just got owned by Luke straight up 😂
Nate is actually taller and has the same reach as Georges. If he can make 155, so can GSP, I'd assume.
I love the fight against Zabit for Yair from a stylistic point of view, but it would be much more logical with Yair vs Cub
We need more MMA news to report on! UFC is growing stale. Come on WME-IMG step your game up!
Ortega's got that wolf in his eyes, i don't see him losing for a while.
Rose got the wolf too..Nunes kinda too.
Sorry Luke, but Danny has you here. It doesn't affect the pecking order. Any matchup coming out of this are fights people want to see. Nate wins = Nate vs #1 contender Conor or Khabib (doesn't affect anything and people want to see it). Nate loses and you make him fight Kevin, the fight YOU want to see. GSP Wins GSP vs Connor, which doesn't affect the order because Conor doesn't have a Title, Khabib still fights #1. Tony is out this year. All these fights are great.
So happy with Ariel's acknowledgement of the fanbase at 33:20 as I had just about enough of the crew's whining. They bemoan GSP vs Nate about being uncompetitive and unwatchable, and then they turn right around and dismiss a competitive bout between Yair and Zabit. This fight is a fantastic fight. It's a fight that propels either winner. As a fan, I don't care about padding and protecting Yair. Let him fight and win against a game opponent to gain his momentum back or let Zabit keep climbing his way up. I know I'm going to tune in to watch.
Zabit vs Yair is very unfair for Yair, it's like they're trying to get rid of him. They need a much higher level fighter to face Zabit. JMO
Did something happen to chuck?
GSP is small for welterweight. He put on a lot of leg muscle at 170. I think he makes the weight easily. Just look at him side by side with Conor.
not a chance nate v gsp doesn't main event
I would like to thank Luke for coming today. It's not the same when he's gone. I need him and Ariel present, or else I get scared.
I guess you could say if GSP goes down to 155 and beats Diaz it will add to his legacy that he fought at three different weight classes.
In that case why not just fight Khabib if he wins he will be the first 3 weight champion? I'm sure he would get the fight if he asked for it.
I'm watching bellator 199 this weekend because it's free
Luke is right about the GSP and Diaz fight.
Luke "I don't like good fights" Thomas
This show is officially unwatchable. Jeff was senile, but Danny is just terrible and I guess he is now a permanent fixture.
they should just do gsp vs khabib and diaz mcgregor 3
pre Conor McGregor George Saint Pierre vs Tyron Woodley would have been the only fight. times have changed now this fight between Nate Diaz and George Saint Pierre no matter how it comes out it sets up too much opportunity to be a bad idea and it needs to be a 5 round fight not a 3 round fight, a 5 round fight for the inaugural 60 lb strap. that's how this fight should go down. And Nick Diaz should
fight Dan The Outlaw Hardy in the co-main event.
The result between Nate and GSP will leverage who Conor's next opponent will be, not Khabib's
Nate and GSP's marketability will go up based on who wins, but Khabib's would still be limited to hardcore MMA fans and Russians/muslims.
Khabib is not a draw, and at the moment, the "big money fight" would be between Conor, GSP, and the Diaz brothers.
Khabib is only relevant if Conor is gonna chase after obtaining the belt he already held onto and willingly gave up, which is extremely unlikely. The same applies to Kevin Lee and Tony Ferguson. They're not a draw and beating them won't elevate Conor's status among casual fans.
Ariel is not a fan of the sport of MMA but rather the soap opera he constructs in his head about these fighters. I guarantee he loves interviews more than the actual fights.
Luke thinks theres no way he could be wrong about the Diaz-GSP bout...thats not how you argue. He also talks way too loud when theres no reason for it...except if he wants to talk over people which I think was his intention...
even in asia we don't have to pay for PPV
Nate vs GSP for the New 165lbs title
I like you guys but seriously... GSP is the greatest welterweight to ever compete and he just won the middleweight title and gave it back.. what do you mean he doesn't have the right to step straight into a title fight at this point he can fight for any belt he wants.. champion vs champion should ALWAYS come before the number 1 ranked contender
Conor is training for a September fight against khabib it's what I've heard from the SBG ..... so it's inline for the Dublin card and the 60 thousand stadium is free ..... u heard it hear first ppl ... and I hear it's Michael bisping vs nick Diaz this summer 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🙏🏻🙈🤔
For now on, stream every single one payperview
Luke knows who chamillionaire is!
Both Diaz brothers had no problem fighting Gomi. This fight lets Conor avoid Khabib. Conor will fight Nate or GSP rather then Khabib. Both fights will do 1.5 million ppv so he looses nothing while not getting pounded out by Khabib for 5 rounds GSP @ 155 lbs is interesting.
Looks like the gsp nate fight is just another way for ufc to recover some money losses and get more investors in makes sense u book that fight who ever wins gets conor or khabib. U can make gsp khabib in russia or cananda place goes mad make gsp vs conor in vegas place goes wild or nate vs conor in ireland ppvs go out the roof its a win win for the ufc not much for the true fans but if the upset happens on gsp nate and nate win guess whos stock goes higher then ever and everyone gets stockton slapped. Just an observation .
love mma/ufc but the rankings and belts are pointless these days
Gsp is not co-maining to a bantamweight title segura. Do you hate money?
Shouldn't this be the new A-Team because we lost the old man lol?
Why does Luke act like GSP can make 155 like it's no biggie?? I don't think he can do it and even if he does he's going to be sucked in to hell and have a built in excuse if he loses I HATE that idea!!
Luuuuke! 👍
Nate Diaz like his brother, has no take-down defense so GSP would take him down and ground and pound him for 5 rounds. He won't be able to submit or TKO Nate so it will be a 5 round beating.
Luke makes this show
i predict Luke on his way out, hes becoming more argumentative as time goes on
tiger fangs he's exactly the same as he is on his own podcast.... that's his shtick. He's the contrast
no fuking pay walls for smart kants
Opening looked like 4 guys after a funeral. Seemed so unenthused.
Conor's last four fights: 2-2. One of those wins was by a majority decision, meaning one judge thought it was a draw. Held up two weight classes after never defending the belts. Hasn't fought in MMA since November 2016.
MMA media= Conor deserves a title shot against Khabib next.
Nate Diaz last four fights: 2-2. One submission win over Conor McGregor, one decision win. Hasn't fought since August 2016.
MMA media= Nate is a .500 fighter who doesn't deserve a big money fight because he hasn't fought in two years. He's a huge 155 pounder. Nate against GSP will mess up the pecking order of the division.
As if Conor didn't get a title shot off a majority decision win, and held up two weight classes.
man if you vpn your ip so that you're in china you can watch everything on fight pass apart from ppv. why all the fuss
Dislike you brought up the burger king for no real reason
2 extroverts and 2 introverts lol
FFS we get rid of Jeff and get an even worse replacement in Danny...
Why they got rid of Jeff bro?
They didn't get rid of him. He got more responsibilities at ESPN and is no longer available for MMA Beat.
Jacob Woodford okay koo, thx bro👊
Danny has always been apart of this show side by side with Jeff.
Be careful what you wish for?
No Jeff Yessssss!!!!
Danny made great points in this episode
maybe I couldnt focus because of his hair. gay.
No lol in the GSP vs Nate topic he did terrible; was destroyed by Luke, and was saved by Ariel lol
"UFC filtered"🤔😆
The pointless intrographics are getting shorter 0:35
4:44 first time Chuck says "weird".
$10,000,000 a show on a streaming service, espn are tripping balls.
It's not just 15 shows, there's other UFC programming that will be offered on top of that.
Jacob Woodford that doesn't really matter, my point is they'll need over 2 million subscribers, from the US only, just to break even streaming the UFC.
It's a netflix business model. All these streaming services lose money off the bat. The goal is to develop and acquire as much content as possible so that over time you have enough subscribers to turn a profit. Not to mention the migration from classic cable over to streaming services that ESPN is trying to get out in front of.
Jacob Woodford I don't think the UFC content is enough to gather the subscribers it needs to pay for it and we simply don't yet how espn go is going to play out with other content, which is why I think the price they're paying for it is way too high.
They are overpaying so they have some content that will drive subscribers and then play that to get more content. It's the long play, the subscriber numbers don't have to pay for this deal and I doubt they expect it to. It's a long play to get out in front of the streaming model so they can be future proof. It's a better deal for the UFC but Disney has grander plans.
50:00 minutes of the video, nothing is free, the so called free sports and radio are paid for by advertisers. People pay (including me) for non-interruption viewing and listening.
Jeff wtf
I get that its not a competitive fight. But if they made the GSP/Conor fight, you wouldn't be as upset about the matchup. Even though, I'm pretty sure Nate has a better chance against GSP than Conor does
No way. Conor has a much better chance even if it is still small. Conor could conceivably make GSP see stars. Nate has never had that kind of power.
Nate is the better ground fighter (By far) but that simply wont matter with GSP just like his brother.
Both will be on there back the entire fight and GSP will finish Conor on the ground but...Conor still has a better chance with a KO of GSP then Nate does. Nate will simply survive three rnds but in no way be a threat.
Nate vs. Gsp
Nick vs. Bisping
Make it happen!
i'd rather GSP x Conor, than anything else.
Khabib matchup is fake wwe backstage beef for press. Nate trilogy too late. Tony's not a draw. that's it.
I say one or two more superfights if available, then retire into promotions & hollywood.
Danny is shockingly out of his depth
Arlie is not telling the truth hold higher standards for others but not himself, typical echo
Danny is a nice guy who doesn't belong on this show.
Dude on the other end of Ariel is the only one who isn't in the closet.
There's nothing wrong with St-pierre vs Diaz..Danny is right..Its not like its GSP for the title..and even then, were talking about GSp the goat..Its ok for a guy like that to get great fights..He did it all..
Also whats wrong with the winner of that fight getting in title contentions?!?At Least in the mix..Its not like its a automatic figth against Khabib..Theres too many variables..Injuries happens ect..You think GSP will jump Tonny or Connor for the title?!? No way unless, They are not availlable.
Now, whos gonna win that fight? Gsp easily..He already beat the bigger Diaz..
GSP's faster, stronger and got the best take downs ever.
look at worthless danny go who put the weak battery in his back
Thinkn about placing a bet on Pennington to win. Great odds..... if she wins!!
Danny gets worse and more cringe worthy with every episode. His input is getting brutal and he is completely intimidated by Luke.
